I've had to ease into the role, remember all of the old procedures, learn about new duties, and still take care of the everyday administration duties that come with being a CM. I've been away for over a year now and it feels like so much has happened. Here's where I need your help. UPDATED: Learn more about Tankoins in . Tankers! Recently, we told you about the new currency that’s coming to the game — Tankoins. We’re pleased to announce that Tankoins were added to the game on August 2! Tankoins can be purchased for money from the Shop, and will be the primary means for buying goods in the Shop. What will change in the game with the arrival of Tankoins? Any content, including paid, can be earned in the game. It won’t be easy, and it’ll take a long time, but it will be possible. Discounts will become available in TO Mobile. However, Tankoins will NEVER be discounted. Instead, the discounts will be on the items you purchase with Tankoins. Tankoins will appear in the monthly challenge silver tier (starting from the September challenge). This selection of free awards will become much more attractive! Weekly containers will be another source of this new currency. In the coming weeks, the game will feature NEW weekly containers with Tankoins inside. The conditions for obtaining them will not change. IMPORTANT: all accumulated weekly containers will be renamed to "Old Weekly Containers", and will not drop Tankoins. The new currency will be released in 3 stages: With tomorrow's update Tankoins will become available to buy and spend in the Shop. This will be a short period that will allow us to make sure that everything is working properly. In the subsequent weeks, we will add the Tankoins to challenges and NEW weekly containers. The third stage depends on the first two. During this final stage, we will add a number of places where you can spend coins outside the Shop. And, of course, Tankoins will be included as rewards in contests and promotions! How it works Purchasing and spending Tankoins is super easy. You buy them for real money from the Shop. Then you can use them in the Shop to buy a number of different items including crystals, gold boxes, containers and more. The only things you will NOT be able to purchase with Tankoins, are Premium and a number of bundles that will be sold for money only. Tankers! The tournaments in collaboration with our partners at ESL Play continue! The next tournament takes place tomorrow, on June 9. You can register for this tournament until 14:30 UTC on the day of the cup, with matches starting at 15:00 UTC. The tournament is held in the Light format: Only light hulls are allowed (Wasp and Hornet); Smoky and Railgun turrets are allowed, but no more than 1 Smoky per team; No resistance modules against Smoky are allowed; Resistance against Railgun divided over no more than two hulls; Maximum 70% combined resistance against Railgun per team (35% Resistance from Railgun on 2 Hulls); Maps: Barda, Bridges, Kungur, Molotov, Osa, Red Alert, Tribute. If after 2 rounds a winner hasn’t been determined, the final match will be played on the Cross map. Prizes: 1st place — 500 000 crystals per team + 5 days of Premium account in Tanki Online; 2nd place — 300 000 crystals per team; 3rd place — 200 000 crystals per team. Tankers! It doesn’t matter whether you’re more of a fan of the beach and sea, or skis and snow. What matters is that the change of season is here, and it’s the perfect opportunity for us to have a celebration. So, here’s what you can expect this weekend, from 02:00 UTC on Saturday 26th, till 02:00 UTC on Monday 28th. Discounts on Shop and Garage items There’s no such thing as a celebration without discounts, and of course we’ve got you covered for both days! On Saturday, we’ll be having 20 to 50 percent discounts on Shop items. Remember, if you have a bonus card for crystals, Premium (excluding 1 day package), or Gold Boxes (excluding 1 Gold Box package), it WILL stack up with the discount, so you’ll be getting an awesome deal. On Sunday, it’s garage discounts. Prices on turrets, hulls, modules and alterations, will be slashed by 30%. Micro-upgrades will get 25% off, while speed-ups will get 50% off. Additionally, on both days, garage paints, supplies and in-game gifts will be at 30 percent off. IMPORTANT: Sales do not apply to Clan Licenses and XT items. Gold Boxes dropping 5X more often Whether you’re an avid gold hunter or just a casual one, you’ll be having a great time catching golds this weekend, because they will be dropping 5X more often… in ALL battles! NOTE: If you disable Gold Boxes in a PRO battle, you will also be disabling this feature. Tougher Missions, bigger rewards If you’re up for a challenge, throughout the weekend there will be three special missions that will be tougher to complete, but will bring you much bigger rewards (any rewards must be claimed before August 28th). As always, these missions can only be completed in non-PRO battles. But don’t let that discourage you. We assure you that the reward is more than worth the effort! So, make sure you log in early this Saturday 26th, and get ready for 48 hours of discounts, Gold Box hunting, and intense battles this weekend! PS. Tankers! With tomorrow’s server restart, we’ll be implementing a test version of the Matchmaking System on all EU servers. The test is intended to run for 48 hours, till 02:00 UTC on Thursday 10th. However, developers might decide to end the test earlier if it causes any kind of undesirable effect on the game. The reason the test is being run on the main EU servers instead of just the test server, is that we would like to see how it performs with a real server load and player distribution, rather than in the controlled environment of a test server. Tankers! With tomorrow’s server restart at 02:00 UTC, we’ll finally be rolling out the first Overdrive as a permanent feature of the game, and making some changes to the active and cooldown times of supplies, as well as some fixes under the hood. Here are the details. Overdrive You might remember the Overdrive feature (originally called “ZERO Supply”) that we first tested during the May 2017 holidays. By popular demand, Overdrive will now be coming back as a permanent feature of the game. Just as in past events, before you can use Overdrive, you need to charge it up by performing actions (kills, flag captures etc) that will aid your team. Once your Overdrive is charged, unleashing it will activate all 5 supplies (except gold boxes) for you and any of your teammates nearby. The default key for Overdrive is «Shift», however, you’ll be able to change this in the Settings page. Of course, PRO Battles will give you the option to enable or disable Overdrive, and in format battles (except Parkour), Overdrive will be disabled by default. Changes to supplies and Repair Kits Tomorrow’s update will bring changes to the Repair Kit and other supplies. Here’s how that will work. When activated, the Repair Kit will immediately restore 1000 HP for your tank, as well as reduce any burning and freezing effects. After that, the Repair Kit will continue to restore an additional 3000 HP over 3 secs. However, this recovery-over-time will be interrupted if your tank suffers any damage whatsoever. Additionally, once your tank’s HP have been fully restored, the Repair Kit will stop trying to repair it. The other supplies will also be undergoing changes to their active and cooldown durations. These changes are intended to balance out the effect of having Overdrive in the game, and will be based on the settings we tested during Tanki’s 8th birthday celebrations. You can check out the details in the official Patch Notes. New Sound Effects and Interface for Supplies Panel From tomorrow, the supplies panel will be sporting a redesigned look, and supplies will have brand new sound effects. With this new interface, whenever any of your supplies have reloaded after a cooldown, you will be notified with a very prominent visual cue. Also, every time you activate a supply, you will hear a sound effect. However, you won’t be the only one hearing it — players around you will ALSO hear it. Obviously, you’ll also be able to hear when other players activate their supplies, which means you’ll be able to use this as a strategic element. Additionally, when your supply runs out, you’ll also be notified with a sound effect. However, this sound effect will only be audible to you, and not to other players. The idea behind these sound effects, is to give you an auditory signal that will allow you to monitor your use of supplies, without having to look at the supplies bar all the time. So, log in early tomorrow and start having fun with Overdrive, the new supplies interface, and all the other features that will be implemented in this update. Of course, don’t forget to check out the official Patch Notes, and tell us what you think of this update in the forum.

Patch Update #469 - Released 12th July 2017 New feature - “Overdrive” added to the game. This Overdrive activates all 5 supplies (except gold boxes) for you and your teammates nearby; “Overdrive ON/OFF” option added to PRO Battle settings; Overdrive is turned off by default in format battles, except Parkour. Changes to Repair Kit mechanic: Initially Repair Kit instantly restores 1000 HP and reduces burning and freezing effects, and then additionally restores 3000 hit points over 3 seconds; The repair-over-time effect will be interrupted if any damage is sustained; The repairing effect will be interrupted as soon as the tank is fully repaired.
