I'm confident there's a lot of hidden talent too waiting to be discovered — people who can do some amazing stuff but don't have the self-confidence to come forward with it, which is a real pity. I continue to urge everyone to give it a shot. Remember, you can only get better by practicing over and over again.

Yep, I definitely wanna do something cool. Still gotta figure out what. Maybe I could create a button for "DROPZZZ GOLD ADMINZZZ PLZXZZ!!!11!!" :D Joking apart, I really want us to have something cool for the "turn of the century!" hehe Those weren't intended for the V-LOG In fact, that's how the newspaper articles are prepared. There's a lot of work in the background that you people never get to see. :) I agree. And I'd love to hear your suggestions for what you want to see in the V-LOG. As long as they're practical, I'm willing to do my best to make them happen. Indeed, 89+1 = cake... :D This is only just the beginning. I wanna do more for all of the "sub-communities", not just the Arab community. It's just a question of time, energy and finding people whom I can trust and rely on. But I promise you it WILL happen. I'm a pretty tenacious fellow :) Kasim has agreed to be our resident Pro's Advice whipping boy hehe. Joking apart, these Pro's would still be able to pull off these tactics against an experienced player, but in order for you to be able to properly see the tactic, Kasim needs to play it meek.

It would really help a lot if you took the time to explain why it is boring, rather than just say, "boring". After all, it's in your best interest to help us create a non-boring V-LOG, right? ;)

That's because I prepare the post in a hidden forum, so that when the time comes, all I need to do is move it to this forum and make it public. It's a convenient little trick that makes my life easier :)

theFiringHand replied to theFiringHand in Episode 89 of the V-LOG is here VLOG archive
Tankers! Episode 89 of the V-LOG is here with a cool collection of stories and tips to start your weekend on a good note. In this episode, you’ll be getting your top questions answered by Cedric, the new EN Community manager. You’ll also find out about an exciting new project by the Wiki team. And of course, you’ll be growing your arsenal of battle tactics with Pro’s Advice. P.S. On a personal note, I'm really happy to say that from this week, the V-LOG will once again be getting Arabic subtitles. It might not seem like much, but it's a first step towards giving more recognition to the multiple communities (not just Arabic) within the EN community. And of course, I really wanna thank @Omar_Enze for giving of his free time and energy to provide these subtitles. So, check out this new episode of the V-LOG right here. Hey all, just wanted to apologize for the silence today. The V-LOG practically eats up most of my day on Fridays. Just to let you know, I'll continue answering your questions in groups (as I've been doing) in the order they came in. I don't think I'll have much time left today, but I will DEFINITELY continue tomorrow, over the weekend, and for as long as there will be questions. So, please be patient with me. I'm trying my best to keep up lol.
-
All you need to do is block them. It's as easy as that I'm sorry but mods have a lot on their hands, and they're also volunteers, so you'll have to be patient. If you say bad words the mods must penalize you accordingly, irrespective of whether someone insulted you first. Two wrongs don't make a right, and that's something I want to make sure everyone in this community starts understanding sooner rather than later. I understand your concern about Hindi moderators. I'll see what I can do to facilitate them more so they have better tools to do their job. Replied earlier. Yep, it's a pretty low rank. But as I said earlier, I never said that was my only account ;) I've never visited the AP office, but I'd love to. No plans on moving to Russia though. I love Malta too much. I replied in detail about my previous jobs in an earlier reply :)

theFiringHand I don't know honestly. I don't get much time to play personally. I don't know about them. Probably the best fit for me would be in the Newspaper. I'm a writer myself and I have a lot of respect and affection for our Newspaper reporters. In fact, I'd love to help the Newspaper grow, and I've got a few things in mind, but first I need to sort other, more urgent matters. I have no idea. I wasn't around when he stopped being CM. And really, why does it matter? No idea Blocked accounts that deserve to be blocked will stay blocked... obviously. There's still no official answer to that No idea, but your best bet is to follow the TX Dev's Diary. The first episode is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6M-l9vlEA Yes, I also have my copywriting business. I write sales letters for online products. Some of these can be up to 30 pages long when the products are really expensive. When they first approached me for the job. Cool game, cool company. Nope. I have no idea. Answered this earlier. Answered this earlier Probably not. My admins and mods have a lot on their hands already. Will be 39 in September
-
Unfortunately, that doesn't fall within my department. Sorry. It probably would be easier, but I honestly can't see myself leaving Malta to move to Perm. Maybe. Dunno. Not in my sphere of competence, sorry. No idea. You'd have to ask the devs. You might spot me on the servers occasionally, but as I said, I'm super busy so I don't get much time to play. You'd have to ask him :) Sorry, no idea. I'll be 39 on September 18th I'd love to have them back too :D Pretty weak and sick, but still having fun here :) I'm not a programmer. But I plan on fixing a few things, primarily on getting players to be more decent and polite in the forums, and writing posts properly without excessive caps and large fonts. It's not something that I have the knowledge or expertise to discuss. Replied to this earlier That depends on my revision of the existing team.
-
As I said earlier, I do play on occasion. Thanks for the welcome :) See my answer to Mia earlier. Yep. See my answer earlier in this thread Answered earlier I mostly play wasp&freeze. Sometimes I'll experiment with other combos, but nothing else quite gives me the fun of that combo Probably a day when when have some big celebration and everyone is having a great time. Kinda like what we had with Fool Days I honestly haven't got the slightest idea. My brain isn't wired for game development lol Not feeling too well actually. This throat infection is really bringing me down. But otherwise I'm having fun with all this interaction. Thanks for asking :) I really have no idea. That's an incredibly complicated matter. Remember, currencies fluctuate a lot and that's a delicate issue everywhere, not just in TO.
-
Mia, just to get a small thing out of the way — I didn't only remove you from facebook; I'm removing everyone who is not a close friend or family member. I've even removed people who are acquaintances but with whom I haven't spoken in the past 6 months. And once I finish this first revision, I'll be chopping off people whom I haven't spoken with in the last 3 months. So, don't take offence. I'm simply using facebook in the way it's meant to be. This is not about you. :) Now, onto your questions. For spectator mode, as with everything else, I'll be doing things in a very specific way that fits my way of doing things. As I explained earlier (at least I think I did... I'm actually losing my thread lol), Spectator Mode should be used as a service for the viewers, to entertain. Players who have that attitude, and have the skill to pull that off, will be more than welcome in the new Spectator group. But this is not the place to discuss anyone's credentials :) As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I love to give people a lot of rope. They can either climb it or get tangled in it. I like to sit back and watch people do what they do. I don't speculate. Rather, I let their actions speak. So far, I'm still forming my ideas of everyone here, including you obviously. But I can say that there are people who have already gained my trust through consistent positive action. There are also people who are slowly losing my trust in them because I noticed that they're more interested in bringing up grudges and feuds, and winning petty personal wars, than actually being of service to the community. Remember, all I care about is the community and being of service to it. One of my top "behind-the-scenes" priorities is streamlining admin and mod processes to there are less gray areas. There's also the issue of communication between various community mods and admins, due to the sheer size of staff members. It will take time to streamline the whole thing, but eventually we can get there, and it will be for everyone's benefit. Our programmers are doing their best to solve these issues. Remember, these people owe their livelihood to this game. It's what allows them to bring home the food. This is a big deal for them. For players, lags and bugs might be a super upsetting issue. For programmers, it's a threat to their family. I think everyone would do well to appreciate that fact — maybe it'll help you see just how much these guys want to fix these problems. And for the record, no I don't think TX will replace TO. In fact, I've already said something about this earlier in this thread :)

I doubt the price of XT will ever be lowered. The whole prestige of owning the thing is having worked hard to get it. I have no idea. I have no idea. Because it's the kind of job that appeals to my set of skills I like that I can pop in and out for a 15min battle Answered this earlier Answered this earlier Yeah, when I get the time. But I typically only play for a couple of hours a week. That's the most I can afford. Answered earlier He's the thrice-removed cousin of Ziltiod the Omniscient. Yep, but only for brief slots of time. I'm very busy with my work. I'll answer this in this week's V-LOG :) It's actually quite old. I'm due for an upgrade. I don't have the time to be a dedicated clan member. I can't be sure, but if I have it my way, we're gonna be having lots of fun. Don't have a particular one in mind. Answered this earlier. If it's meant to be, it will happen :) I actually don't have any lol See above.

Thanks. I appreciate your kind words :) For more info about Tanki X, you should watch the Tanki X Dev's Diary. Here's episode #1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6M-l9vlEA I honestly haven't got a clue Roughly 2 years behind the scenes Answered earlier Lots to eat, lots to drink, and a house ;) No idea. "I want to be a moderator" isn't really the right attitude for becoming a moderator. Usually the best moderators are those who have the attitude, "I can help with X, Y, and Z". I'm still traumatized :D By the way, my band had a really good laugh too.
-
Thanks :) and thanks :D See previous answers ;) Dunno. I'm having fun right now. Not much of a sports fan, but I train weight lifting Yep I do. No details, sorry. I've had quite a few jobs, from waiting tables, to being a cameraman, to being a TV producer for the biggest production house in Malta, to being a casino games dealer, to being a professional strolling magician. There are a lot of fun people and lots of talent. There are a few unpleasant people who sometimes leave a sour taste, but I wanna work towards making this place even better than it is. Ehm... maybe ;) No idea. Wasp&Freeze They're only accessible to people in the TX closed-beta. It's hard to say what specifically prepared me. You see, people tend to think about jobs as a whole unit. In reality, jobs are simply a collection of skills that can be transferred at will. For instance, from my job as a casino dealer, I didn't just learn to be a casino dealer; I learned the importance of procedures, and how to create procedures that have minimal loopholes. From my job as a copywriter, I learned how to step into the consumers' perspective and find out what really matters to them when it comes to buying. So really, all of my jobs prepared me in some way for Tanki Online. Wasp&Freeze. I don't have a favorite paint because it depends on what's in the arena I think it's the possibility of working with so many different people of different skill sets, and I love to bring all those skills together to orchestrate something really cool for the community. I started out working exclusively on texts, and helping out a little in the marketing department due to my background. Then Semyon left and I was handed over the position. Probably his visit in Malta. We had a great time. My greatest achievement is probably the radical changes I managed to make in my personal character. I've only tested TX very briefly. But I love all the little visual details they've included. Probably spend it on good food and musical equipment, besides gifts for loved ones. See previous answers Sorry, too personal Sorry, too personal 39 this September My admins and mods So far, I don't dislike anybody. Nope, no idea Already answered. Already answered regarding plans for Tanki. About my life, dunno really, I'm just making the best of the moment. I'll answer this in the V-LOG I honestly don't know.

Hey all, I'm gonna call it a night. It's 11pm here and its been a long day. Thank you all for coming in and asking your questions (I hope I caught all of them!). I had a great time answering . And I really can't thank you enough for having been polite and civil throughout. I couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. A special thank you goes to my team of mods and admins for keeping things nice and tidy. As promised, I'll keep popping into this thread and answering any additional questions over the next few day for the benefit of those who couldn't make it.
-
Not anytime soon. Please check earlier responses for details. :)
-
I've already answered those, so please check the earlier responses. And thanks for your kind comments. I really appreciate them :) Please check earlier posts :) Yeah, we could do that. I think TO is a really particular phenomenon. There's just something really addictive about it. And the community is great! I really wouldn't know. But you should keep an eye on the TX Dev's Diary videos. First one is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6M-l9vlEA

Got a throat infection and a bit tired, but otherwise having a good time :) Actually, yeah I do I don't know the name of the company Yep. Best place EVER! Well, it's my job to know a lot about Tanki. Besides, I never said that was my main account ;) Sorry, too personal. No offence, but I'm very protective about my family ;) You nosy you... lol. Yeah, I can still make a coin disappear, and I still love magic. I just don't have the time to practice anymore. :( Well, if I ever fly there, I'll make sure I record a walkthough tour :) Not really, they're too salty. A high content of sodium chloride in water can cause undesirable effects on the digestive system. Heh, cool. Keep it up man!
-
I don't focus on that. I focus on taking whatever I have in hand and making it better. If you do that too, we'll have a better community and we'll be having more fun. Can I count on you man? Thanks. I'll do my best to live up to your expectations :) I doubt it. It's not very practical. But if I see that the community wants it, I'll try to appear as much as possible. I honestly have no clue. Probably Semyon's facial expression every time I make a sick joke lol. (Don't ask, I won't elaborate. This is a PG forum :D) StarLadder TV. It's the company that used to organize the StarSeries tournament about 1 year back. No idea Easier for you to add me :) I have zero tolerance for people who abuse their positions. That said, I have even less tolerance for petty feuds and grudges. So, I tend to investigate very thoroughly before I take someone's accusations seriously. And if I find someone's lying, they lose my trust for good.
-
I want to make the community more fun, because ultimately, that's why people play games. Nah man, Russia is FREEZING. I'm a Mediterranean guy. Lowest temperature I ever experienced was -4 and I could barely speak lol I play in a progressive metal band. I love all sorts of music, from metal to jazz to pop. I absolutely adore Devin Townsend — he's a genius. No idea, honestly. Of course not. Nobody's forcing anyone to play eSports. Play Tanki Online any way you wish! I think it's the diversity I really enjoy. And so many really nice people. You should suggest all of these in the suggestions forum Dunno... possibly, if I see that people want this. It will always be on my laptop camera though. No other practical method.
-
Nope, this is the first game I ever worked in. But I was a games dealer in a casino for 4 years. Some memes, yes :D I'm planning on having tournaments that will involve the EN, DE, and BR communities, as well as other sub-communities. Iva siehbi, Malti ta' veru lol I really don't know about the "transfer accounts to Tanki X" thing. Honestly. Programmers are planning on re-introducing team kick for PRO battles this fall, and are working on an improved anti-cheat system (of which I have no details at all unfortunately) Melting pot (yeah that's 2 words... so sue me lol) I read quite a bit of non fiction on personal development and psychology. I'm also reading a really cool series of horror books, but they contain mature themes of violence so I can't mention them here. Through Tanki Online. We've been very good friends ever since.
-
Ehm... I don't think I've ever developed a preference for a particular hair color lol Maltese, English and Italian, all fluently. Ichabod Crane I think Semyon brought a certain warmth to the community with his presence in the V-LOG. As for my aim in Tanki, it's to get people even more enthusiastic about being a part of this cool community. Sorry, that's strictly for close friends, relatives and business contacts. I'll be 39 on September 18th Malta I don't have one Ehm... what? Yes, see earlier replies Unlikely

I really wouldn't know. Keep an eye on the TX Dev's Diary for news: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6M-l9vlEA See above Nope, sorry no Russian. But I'd love to learn it About game modes, I have no idea. I guess Assault was pretty popular so maybe the programmers might consider it. But I wouldn't know, honestly. It's hard to say. Adding a new element to the game is always a very complicated endeavor, because it affects literally everything else. No idea Right now, I've got a good relationship with some key people who are doing a brilliant job. Once I see how I can best use everybody's potential, I'll decide whether anyone else needs to be appointed. Hard to tell. I need to test some things first. You forgot to mention you're very humble :D
-
Answered this already. About SLTV, I doubt it will come back, but I intend to have quite a few events to keep you all entertained. Around 2 years, but I don't play very often as I don't have much time He's working in another company. Haven't spoken with him in a while, but last time I did he told me to say hi :) Not very often No idea. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6M-l9vlEA to stay up to date. I'm clueless about sports lol It's easier if you add me :D Sorry, can't disclose any info on that The plan is for me to stay active. :) Fun and challenging. Reminds me of when I was a TV producer, but not as demanding as that. Yep. Keep your eyes on the news. Nope, not that I know of. No idea. No idea. No idea. Tanki X looks cool. However, I don't think it will replace TO. People love this game. There will be fans and players for both games as long as we keep them entertained. After all, there are still people playing and raving about games that are 25 years old. No idea. Thanks :)

I'm a native speaker. In Malta, we have 2 official languages — Maltese and English. I love video games ;) I really have no clue. But I recommend you keep an eye on the Tanki X Developer's Diary series, First episode is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6M-l9vlEA It means making sure something works at the best of its potential. I've been with AP for about 2 years, lurking in the shadows. I was originally approached through a recruitment agency. Yep, born and bred here :) I usually start the day with forum and PMs (I get a ton). Rest depends on the day. I try to communicate regularly with my top people, get feedback from them, and see where they need help. On some days I'm writing reports, on others I'm working on the V-LOG script, and on others still, I work on strategy. You see, being a CM is all about using your team properly. My team know a lot more about the game than I ever will. They're experts in their respective fields. My job is to figure out how to connect the dots between them to make them all awesome. Food, music, magic (as in "tricks" though I don't practice much anymore) and writing. And probably a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now lol. I seriously doubt it. When taken seriously, the job of CM is quite a handful. I barely manage with this community as it is. I love Freeze/Wasp and spinning around my opponents. I don't have a particular favorite map, but I really like Rio. Sorry, I don't understand your question. I intend to have a good look at all people with spectator mode. I want to make sure spectator mode is only in the hands of people who are actually doing something worthy with it, and that means entertaining the community with high-quality videos. Spectator mode was never intended to be a toy, but I suspect quite a few people think it is. That has to end. But, to answer your question, I'm not opening spectator mode anytime soon. First I revise, then we'll see. I have no freakin' clue :D
