I think it should be remastered to an extent to match the overall new graphics. What do you think of this fan-made remake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G2A2q6dM1Q?
-
it does not? From what I understood any inflicted effects were being removed once AT is activated. Either I didn't fully get it or it is a bug
-
Status-effects no longer apply to a Mammoth with activated overdrive
-
I should have use a different word than 'outclass', because you are right that some combinations individually can perform better than another combo - what I did mean is that a certain combination performs better in combat than other tanks. Months ago, RGC-Hornet was the meta, it was functional at all ranges and was a threat for most tankers. I was thinking if a similar combination is conquering today's game
-
I agree on your assumption on Prime-skins, it sounds like the most logical option. I do not think that Legacy skins will remain the same. It is true that it removes the 'legacy' aspect of the series, but it would look incredibly odd if those skins appear as 2D when all other graphics have been remastered. Honestly, they could just slightly update them, a bit more depth and details, but nothing game-breaking
-
Even so, it does outclass other hulls in the gamemodes you mentioned above. Overall, Hopper performs above average in matchmaking, it does not need to be specifically oriented at the game's objective
-
Not an official answer, but it can be assumed that all skins will get updated. XT and Legacy skins likely get a remaster to match the new graphics. I have no idea how this update will affect Prime-skins, as they already exists a 3D-ish model of them which is the Ultra-series

I wish to be able to play this game next year

On Dec. 28th, paints and augments will be for sale at -50%

I am not too fond of the EXP-multipliers either. Your tank-career doesn't feel like a journey anymore, instead you are rushing through the ranks. On this account, I am a legend so I am not too bothered by it, but I can completely understand that lower-ranked players feel different about this. As said above, you can enter the game to complete your daily missions or attend some events, after which you can either log out or join PRO-battles. I started to join PRO-battles some days ago, it's quite enjoyable to spend time

Just as we thought that we got rid of the Hornet flux, a second wave will be approaching us upcoming days... Just kidding. The new model looks truly amazing. I expected to see a graphics/visuals update for a very long time and it finally landed. It is no surprise for me that Hornet has been chosen as the first skin to be updated, even though I hoped Shaft would have caught the attention too :P. I hope that the other renewed models will be released soon as well! EDIT/added: I am actually curious how paints will appear on these remastered models, I expect them to look like their appearance on ultra skins but let's wait until tomorrow shall we?
-
Currently, I dont think there is a specific META in the game. Undeniably, Hopper is dominating most matches, but there is not a true fixed equipment combo that outclasses any other in the game. I have not a clear idea, so I'd like to be proven wrong. Any thoughts on this?

Chances of seeing a crystal kit are pretty low, and it is also possible that these are not the kits you want. So the chance that you get your desired kit for crystals is incredibly low, yes. Hence, you should be flexible with what you want: if you find a kit with items you think are good, I would advise you to buy that one because waiting for the perfect kit can take months if not more than half a year! Also, never refresh the shop-page, because everytime you do so you have to pay more tankoins to refresh the page again. Therefore, always look at the shop-items for crystals, for you may encounter your dreamtank. If you do not want to wait for such kit and want to get the turret and hull asap, it's best to buy the items seperately. For example, if you want to buy Gauss, then it's better to buy the weapon itself than waiting for another kit to come. Kits are only 35% off, while during Christmas sales for garage items go up to 50%: the crystal kits itself will not become -50% off.
-
You can either buy the Mk6-kit when it appears in the garage, or you can wait till you hit Lt. General and then buy the kit. However, it does take a lot of time for your kit to appear in the shop for crystals. So it is best to check what is available instead of aiming for one specifc kit. As you are almost Mj. General, having Mk6 items is not wrong at all! But I remind you that crystal kits get no further discount during sales: it will stick at the same price as now. 500K is a lot of crystals. As @At_Shin said above, upgrading vertically (turret and hull) is your best option. Pick a weapon and hull to upgrade to Mk6, if possible you can also upgrade some ofyour modules. Try to keep some crystals left: if you are ranking to Lt. General you may buy yourself a good Mk7-kit. Do not invest in micro-upgrades, you are going to upgrade most of your items to Mk7 so spending crystals on MUs is a waste. Good weapons to upgrade are Smoky, Ricochet and Gauss; good hulls are Hunter and Viking
-
To put it short, upgrade your turret and hull first, after that you can buy modules. But try to invest in both at the same time: go for one turret and hull and try to get a couple of modules upgraded. As you are brigadier, Mk5 is the highest you can go for iirc. But if this is too expensive, try going for Mk4 modules How many crystals do you have currently?

You mean that developers announce the concept of a certain change/implementation in the game, and that players can decide whether they would like that update or not? I agree and disagree on this idea. It would be pleasant if players can share their voice and opinion about such changes, it gives the idea that players are heard and taken seriously. On the other hand, certain updates may need to happen regardsless of peoples opinions or may be too complex for the regular tanker to understand; some updates can have consequenes and effects that are not known well at that moment. Aditionally, players should not completely decide what changes should be made or not,

From prior discussions, it has been made clear that deverlopers are not going to implement night-mode. On normal settings, the map appears to be too dark where entities and other structures are hard to observe, making it difficult and unpleasant for players to play in them. Plus, constant variation and rotation of light and dark maps may be disturbing for people. According to Maf, there's already been plenty of experiments carried out by other games/companies, which have shown that night themed maps with poor lighting are not favoured by players. If you want to know more, you can have a look at these topics:

I think I understand what you mean, I have had this same bug for some time now. Only difference is that my screen did not turn gray completely, but was stuck at that page and no animation showed up. Next time, you have to refresh your page restarting your game. After that, you can reopen your containers or they have already been opened; in that case, you already received your awards
-
I am looking at your profile and I notice that you only have Firebird Mk6 and Wasp Mk6, the rest of your garage is rather underwhelming in upgrade-levels. I strongly advise you to invest in upgrading your gear, so that you have two or three strong turrets and hulls, and also modules. I think that augments are one step ahead of you: they are incredibly expensive and if the corresponding turret is not well-upgraded, the augment itself is a waste of money... Upgrading your equipment would be your priority and you can buy a good augment later on. Hence, I would advise you to go for a close or medium-ranged turret and a medium hull; if you have enough crystals left you can buy yourself a long-range turret and a heavy hull if you please. Good turrets are Ricochet and Smoky, a good hull is Hunter or Viking but you can also buy Dictator if you like that one more. It's really important to protect yourself against turrets, especially in the high ranks. Crucial modules are Grizzly (Thunder), Falcon (Railgun), Griffin (Magnum) and Owl (Gauss). Other good modules are Dolphin (Smoky), Shark (Vulcan) and Wolf (Hammer).

What VPN do you use or would you advise? -
Speaking of which, I came along this screenshot of a battle I had during the 16vs16 experiment some weeks ago. First place of the enemies team was taken by an Autocannon-user with a GS of 3938 - overall, he wasn't even doing that bad, but at the same time I wonder how he got such score because he did not appear to have astounding skills. I actually had to laugh when I saw this end-result of that battle. I never try to look down on people, but surely these people should have been ashamed that someone with half of their GS managed to conquer 1st in a Legends battle.
-
I care about it to an extent. I think having high-upgraded gear is important to be efficient in combat and I also like to show off my upgraded equipment in battle. My highest GS rises to around 9700 and I am proud of that, to keep this GS constant I aim to micro-upgrade other items I regularly use. Reaching 9999 does have to wait however, since upgrading modules to 50% is an incredibly expensive trade-off - the same goes for drones, but luckily I already own a maxed Booster so I do not have to go through that hell again
-
I am making a small attempt to revive this topic. With the recent introduction of hovering hulls - Hopper, Crusader and Ares - it has become possible for new equipment combinations to arise. This year's balance-updates also drastically changed some turret's and hull's characteristics and mechanics and noticeably buffed or nerfed them, with regards to drones as well. Not to forget the many changes brought to parameters of augments, the introduction of hull-augments, the conversion from the M0-M3 to the current Mk1-Mk7 system and the serveral changes in overdrives. Even so, one of my favorite and former popular equipment combo is Shaft w/ Light Capacitors and Hornet: being fast yet stable enables me to drive across the map quick-scoping enemies while still contributing to my teams progression by disabling threatening tanks and even take some flags or footballs. Recently I was extremely lucky with container openings and I received the Shaft-AP augment as well as a nice skin for Hopper. Nowadays, I am mainly using Shaft w/ AP and Hopper so that I can bring mobile sniping to a newer and higher level. The Armor Piercing augment lets me snip eon enemies, disabling their defences, so that my teammates can finish them off. Assistance of the Booster drone helps me to deal with threatful enemies quicker. When my team is not doing well or needs a big boost in power, I tend to requip to Gauss w/ EM-Salvo and Hunter w/ Heat-Immunity.
