    I agree on the opinion of most tankers that CTF-missions are hard to accomplish. Due to the large density of the teams, it is nearly impossible for an individual or small group of players to attack the enemy's base. Organized teaming and planning is a difficult task since the large amount of present players often results in a lot of chaos on the battlefield

    most m2 skins looked really nice and clean, on all turrets and hulls. I am also fond of the legacy skins but if I had to choose a turret's model, I would say Freeze, Hammer, Shaft and Gauss have the coolest appearance
  5. what do you mean with the defense nerf? Currently, Defender already grants 150% protection so defense boost is not increased/decreased by any percentages. Only thing I suggested was to heavily decrease activation time and increase recharge time. Speaking of which, a main issue with both drones, especially Defender, is that a player can cycle through his supplies to decrease smart cooldown of the corresponding supply. Though useful, I never truly understood the point of this feature. Removing this cycling-aspect may make these drones more fair to use. But I dont know how you and others think about this EDIT: I just read that the latter point was something you proposed as well. But to what extent can this be beneficial? E.g., in current situation removing the cooldown-buff will make defender slightly less powerful (still powerful though) but Booster will get nerfed to the ground even more. If applied to my idea, then I agree on your point

    Meanest thing you have done in Tanki

    Getting EM-salvo and Hopper Xt from a container last Friday, and wrecking people every battle after. It proves to be super-efficient, but I feel so incredibly dirty I have to take a shower after each match
  11. The problem with Defender is that it has a long duration period (30 sec) and a brief recharge period. Hence a Defender-user can easily retain its increased armor by cycling his supplies or pick up double armor-boxes. For a drone that can be unlocked at First Lieutenant and has such stats, that is straight up overpowered, both on paper and in practice. The fact that this drone is pretty much META makes it even more annoying for the average player to counter one. Defender's duration time is simply too long. On the other hand, Booster has a power-up duration of 3 seconds, plus a recharge period of also 3 seconds. Even though this drone supports a massive damage-boost, it can be incredibly hard for a player to control this power in only a few seconds; this mainly goes with medium-/long-ranged turrets. I often pair it with a long-range turret, but once I activate DD and my aim is thrown off by an enemy or ally, I wasted a precious power-up as well as 3 DD... Comparing it to Defender who also consumes 3 DA, but for 10x the duration, this is extremely unfair. One could say that increasing Booster's duration to 5 seconds may provide it with more benefits in combat, but the main issue with Booster having 5 seconds of duration is that for some weapons not much benefit is gained while it makes melee-ranged weapons drastically overkill (e.g. melee/close-range turrets). I would say, with my limited knowledge of balance and statistics, a more balanced version of both drones would be: Booster: - duration of 5 seconds; - 150% boost (instead of 200%); 100% boost (instead of 200%) / 3x the normal amount of damage; - recharge time of 10 seconds (instead of 3) Defender: - duration of 10 seconds (instead of 30 seconds); - 150% boost; 100% boost / 3x the normal amount or armor; - recharge time of 20 seconds (instead of 3) This way, Defender is able to defend itself against heavy fire, because often multiple enemies are attacking at the same time - however, it requires more timing and skill to activate this drone. At the same time, Booster is able to deal some heavy damage for some seconds, and can pick up its boosted effect 5 seconds after its prior activation - having a lower damage-boost for a longer period of time results in more extra TDO (statistically) Both drones are limited in activation due to their longer recharge time, considering their current usages and mechanics i think this is more than fair EDITED: boost in percentage - I wrote down wrong percentages on armor/damage boosts

    Mouse or Keyboard Aiming?

    Same scenario for me. I had chosen exactly this laptop since it had to meet certain requirements for the study I was going to do. I have little to no knowledge about laptops and technology. When I discovered mine had anti-ghosting programmed on it, I decided to learn mouse-controls so that I could still play this game. At first, I had troubles getting used to it and I even took a seperate keyboard to plug in whenever I wanted to game. After a while, I finally got the hang of using my mouse effectively. I mainly used Thunder back in the days, so playing with mouse was experienced more consistent. Mouse controls are, from my experience, superior to keyboard-controls. Aiming feels more controlled and precise; you can get a quicker overview of surroundinds without having to turn your turret or hull; your tank is always aimed forwards so you do not need to adjust your turret to your sight; also, being able to shoot, turn your tank and adjust your vision with one hand is more controlled than having to move each of your fingers across the keyboard. Plus, it feels more natural and comfortable to use, mostly since other games rely on mouse-controls as well. I could never return to solely keyboard. Fun fact: since I became clever with mouse-controls, I decided to buy Shaft to try out my new skills. That's how I got to play with Shaft and got to be an excellent sniper, and how I got to be member of the greatest sniper-group in this game

    Gauss is basically Thunder on steroids, you can still use it as a substitute regardless. It is also the reason why I abandoned Thunder, after using it as my main weapon till reaching First Lieutenant. Plus, most recent items I received from containers motivated me to use Gauss again

    Above is also applicable for this topic, but I am not motivated to copy paste everything. Anyway, I got some crazy stuff from the bundle
  19. So I initially wanted to buy 8000+ double-damage during this event, however things turned out a little different... I have rarely made in-game purchases for real currencies - only times I did this was to buy tankoins for 5 battle-passes which costed me around 15 euros - but since I had plenty of money left this, I decided to take the risk and buy the colossal Black Friday-Bundle. In the ten years I have been playing this game, I figured out I could allow myself to buy something in-game... Boy, little did I know what was coming my way... To conclude, I received all AP-augments from turrets including Rubberized Rounds, plus some neat hull-augments. The coinboxes gave me a lot of tankoins with which I bought more containers; the rest can be spent on potential battle passes. The remaining crystals will be spent on MUing my modules and Booster, I also will upgrade some of my turrets and hulls and I'll be buying Hopper apparently... This was my biggest container-opening in this game ever, and I am never going to do this again

    Rapid-Fire Mode performs decent. Range of arcade shots is decreased drastically after last updates of Shaft, so you will need to approach your enemies on close distances - if you are an aggressive player who likes meelee-/close-ranged fights this augment may be a good choice. However, damage is rather underwhelming: dealing averagely 700 damage per shot is just enough to kill a light-hull with one series of 3 shots. Killing medium and heavy tanks is difficult with this augment. Most players with RFM use an upgraded Booster-drone to be more effective in combat - I also use this combination because without Booster, Rapid-Fire Mode ain't really that great. If you want to buy Booster Rapid-Fire Mode, I also advice you to invest in Booster

    All 3 of above features are related to the purchase of in-game items and the games economy. Adding a festive map liike you suggested has little to do with the overall event. Besides, taking into account recent updates, introduction of Ares and Hopper, anticipation of the new Tesla-turret and upcoming changes to the games graphics, I do think that any addition of new items was unneeded
