What about a supply 'Flare' that when used, a small air strike hits the spot a few seconds later, of course, the supply shouldn't be OP but would have a damage radius smaller than that of a magnums shell, and up to 4 shells with a quarter damage that mines deal. Shell count - 4 Damage per shell - 300-600 Shell drop radius - 5m Splash damage radius 5m Time for shells to reach the ground from the time flare was used - 5s Time between each shell dropping - 0.25s Cooldown times - N/A Cost - considering mines are 50, and this deals a min damage, but with some splash, maybe around 150? It would seem to be as worth as much as a repair kit. But would really change the gameplay I reckon. Of course, there are many ways to use this supply, although must be used wisely, due to the radius it might hit building roofs instead making it a waste, but 5s is enough to get yourself out of the damage radius. The idea is kinda complex, in parkour this would become hazardous for certain.

Hmm, well, for now, we were told that most turrets will get some moving parts, we kinda already have a decent set of short range, mid range, and long range turrets. I'm sure many may have suggested this, but we have turrets that are like magic per say if I refer to animes, so our tanks are mages. Can we also get a few knights too? maybe a turret that kinda 'melee', instead of 'magic' as to per say, some pincers? a log hammer to ram into tanks.

That has been answered above, u can always contact tech support and provide evidence of your old account, tanki can of course help u get the account back. A hacker would be dumb to even bother hacking and spending money to change nickname on an account that tanki would then return to the original owner. If you are thinking about how can u retrieve an account name that you don't know, well I'm sure tanki has some sort of logs that date back on your account which includes purchase history etc. This would have been the first issue tanki would have thought of before rolling out this update, so I am pretty sure they have countermeasures to recover accounts which are hacked and then had nickname changed with the rename pass.

Well, most likely he/she'd get compensated for the pass as long as it can be proved that they bought the pass before and the hacker used it. But the odds of anyone even hacking you are slim as long as you have linked your email and only use official tanki software/site.

There are a few 1 character nicks i.e @Q, would be cool to have the ability to make such short nicknames again.

Many games don't have the option to even change gamer tag or nickname, this is a liberty we have in Tanki, yes everyone understands your feelings clearly, there could be possible changes to the system, but all depends on the quality of feedback, but when feedback gets repetitive and abusive, there really isn't much to say. The update will roll, nothing shall stop it. Use the complaint book to send feedback there to the developers, or constructively explain your issue you have. Currently, all we see is that you dislike this feature due to it being a real-world currency purchase. Majority of people have already said this, so instead of repetitively regressing this, try come across as a tad friendlier, at the end of the day you are still here to play this, and nickname changed will not affect your gameplay. Changing the nickname does not whatsoever change the gameplay, yes maybe a cooler name will be targeted more often, but no, doesn't impact gameplay.

Um, I'm pretty sure tanki has a full history of the account, and through purchases etc, tanki can filter out and find your account, they wouldn't be stupid enough to roll out this update if they didn't have such account log history logically speaking. Tanki does have our Karma, so it is safe to assume they have whole account logs, including purchases, name changes, etc.

As for some features, maybe for some inactive nicks, maybe when u choose the nick, it could show that there are certain days till it is officially inactive and you can take it? Or more importantly, are the nicknames still limited to 3 characters? will they ever let us use smaller nicknames?

If you had read above, the person whose account was stolen can report to tech support using their old known nickname if the hacker changed the nickname. Not hard to get your account back as long as you have evidence to prove it is yours, so always log things if u can, including bans you got, items you bought when etc. They will prove that you are the original account owner and I'm sure you would get your account back that was stolen from you. I am unsure if Tanki will give u the old nick back, or an option for a free nickname change if the hacker changed your nickname.

It's a number first and foremost of all. It may mean something, but it isn't a direct reference to anything in such context.

Seems pretty efficient, and how about the following question, since clan licenses have never got sales before, am I to assume rename passes won't either? Also, will changing in-game clan tag and in-game clan name become similar to the rename pass?

Umm, its either a hack or a developer made the account with fixed stats, 0 hours cant get u 100k exp, maybe it's for some question game?

Are there any security measures? Any email confirmations needed? Or simply on a small pop up, you will enter the name, like how u enter the clan name with the clan license?

When people use 'Pay2Win', it really makes me cringe. Like how will changing nickname make u win a battle? Pay2Decorate - more like it.

Okay based on what we know: (Based on USA shop) Nickname change will soon be available for $18 in the shop. Open the following please: Next, a nickname of a tanker masks one's identity, previously tankers had to email tech support for a nickname change. As time went forward, Tanki released a form: http://tankionline.com/forms/change/en/ . This made things easier. With both old approaches, there were security measures in place, i.e providing proof that you own the account, including purchase receipts, and ISP's. With the form, there is also the verification, you get an email to verify the nickname change. With the rename pass, we still don't know how it will do the job. Are there no security protocols? any email confirmation? Proof to show it's your account? This all probably will be lost with this rename pass. If it is like the clan license, where we just enter a name and voila it has changed. This is easier, no hassle over emails, no emails bouncing over unavailability of nickname or insufficient pieces of evidence. ------ This does limit who will occasionally use this rename pass, free to play players who make up the majority of gamers on Tanki will of course not change the nickname, we should at least have an option to purchase this pass in crystals. Although this rename pass will free up time and make customer support much quicker to go through, if people lost their accounts, or it got stolen, I assume since people won't use that system to contact Tanki, most of their time becomes free to and the tech support system becomes more efficient and responsive than ever before. ----- But even so, changing your nickname will not alter or hinder your gameplay, so why bother to fuss about it?
