You're forgetting one thing. Product Kits available for Tankoins are usually of the next modification. And the reason why that is, is to lure buyers to buy them purely with Tankoins. If players can use crystals to pay, say 50% of the price of the kit; then what's the incentive for buyers to spend a major portion of TKs instead of just paying half of the price with easily obtainable crystals? So, if Tanki does implement something like this, it's not like you will be able to use crystals to partially purchase a kit with TKs. Rather, the kits available for crystals will the ones this offer comes up for. And I don't think that would be of much use for us F2Ps.
