    Sensitivity

Adding onto what others have said, some turrets just have naturally slower rotations than others. Shorter-range turrets tend to whip around pretty quickly, so you may like those if that's what you enjoy. Also, some slower turrets (Vulcan, Shaft, Railgun) have Augments that increase rotation speed.

    Hunter HD and other changes

Isn't 6 seconds the longest EMP duration in the game? Hunter's Overdrive, Gauss's EMP, and Smoky's EMP only last 5 seconds. I'm only asking for the sake of clarity, as this description may be confusing to some players.

    Hunter HD and other changes

Ah, ok. Currently, the main window in the garage shows what I've attached as an image. After this update, instead of displaying turret and hulls stats, the main page will show the contribution to gear score of each piece of equipment (hull, turret, augments, modules). Turret and hull parameters will now only be seen in their respective tabs (the ones where you can equip and upgrade equipment).

    Hunter HD and other changes

This means that, if you die right after activating ares' overdrive, you won't be stuck with 0% - you'll instead be given some charge back. Hopper does this too if you're killed in the air, as do a couple other hulls if you're killed right after activating. All of the gear score details can be found on the wiki page. Hope this helps!

    Hunter HD and other changes

Yikes, time to wear a Mk7 Falcon module and EMP immunity for couple of months. An a brighter note, I love the new hunter skin! I also think the changes to Gauss and the Cryo rounds are reasonable.

    Question

Hi! Hunter's electric zap will still disable objects such as Titan's dome, Wasp's bomb, and Ares' energy ball if they were created by a hull with Stun Immunity. However, Stun immunity does prevent Hunter's overdrive from stopping tank motion or the activation of another overdrive. Hope this helps, and let me know if I can clarify further.

    How buy xt with crystals

In addition to the answers provided above, skins can be obtained from Skin Containers, from the last stage of the Gold Tier of the Challenges. As with the other methods of obtaining skins, these cannot be purchased for crystals.

    Railgun HD

Welp, time to pull out my ol' reliable Falcon Module again! These new augments (and the AP one that's been here for a bit) sound pretty tricky to counter, but I guess that's what hull augments are for. New HD skin looks great! Edit: just noticed the new MM maps in the patch notes. Happy to see more variety being introduced!

Nice! Those special missions look pretty doable, and I'm looking forward to the format battle event modes.

    [Forum Game] Answer the question

I like to think of myself as a big Tolkein fan, though I've by no means read everything he wrote. Have you ever picked wild fruits? What kind?
  12. Correct, this is one of the meanings of minimal critical chance, though it would be more clear to call it the "initial critical chance." Whoops! You're right here - I just rechecked the parameters, and the max critical chance is 50% for all modifications, not 100%. This is because the critical step increases significantly each modification. So, higher modifications get into positive chance sooner, and the chance grows faster with each shot. Precisely, that was my mistake - you could go 11 shots because that particular time, the luck would have it that you fired several shots at 50% critical chance without getting a critical. Using equals signs is a much better way of putting it, the minus and plus was an oversight in our rush to get the info into the wiki. The values for sorted ammunition are being set, not scaled. Thank you for the question and the additional information - that's very helpful, and I'll clarify the wiki page on this ASAP.

    xt skin for gauss

The contents of Ultra Containers vary a bit from event to event, so keep an eye out for it in future events - it might get put back into the reward pool, though there's no guarantee. If it's not in Ultra Containers, then the only other way to obtain it would be through a special event/contest (keep an eye on the forum) or a special offer in the shop, though currently there is not one that includes Gauss XT.
  14. Hello @TheCongoSpider! Wiki Editor candidate here. Here's an explanation: EDIT: Hey, random person reading this later on! This explanation has some mistakes, as discussed below. Please see the wiki page for the full, correct explanation. Smoky begins with a negative critical chance. This means you will never get a critical on the first shot, or on any shot where the chance is negative. Every time you hit an enemy with a regular shot, the chance of the next shot being critical increases by the "chance step of special damage" parameter that you mentioned. Once you get a critical, the chance is reset to negative, and you need to hit a couple more shots to make it positive (and thus possible to hit a critical) again. Maximum critical chance is the frequency you could get criticals if you were lucky enough to get a critical as soon as the chance was positive. So, if you have a maximum critical chance of 33%, that means you can hit a critical at most once every 3 shots (meaning the first 2 are negative or 0 chance). Minimum critical chance is the frequency you could get criticals if you were unlucky enough to only get a critical once the chance had accumulated to 100%. So, a minimum critical chance of 10% means that you will never go 10 hits without a critical. Smoky's sorted ammunition cleverly takes advantage of these mechanics by starting at -200% and increasing by 100% each shot like so: First shot is -200% (no crit) Second shot is -100% (no crit) Third shot is 0% (no crit) Fourth shot is 100% (critical) and resets the chance to -200% for the next shot. Let me know if I can make anything clearer! I'll be adding this info to Smoky's page on the wiki when I have some time later. Edit: There are some inconsistencies with the meaning of maximum and minimum critical chance - the upgrades pages of the wiki are listing values the way I explained them above, but the augment box for smoky refers to the shot-by-shot chances. It's a bit ambiguous, so I'll try and work out a better way of describing it when I add the above explanation to the associated wiki pages.

I think Hunter HD would be fantastic - it's my favorite hull overall, but currently the default skin is a bit lackluster. How's the weather where you are?

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

Couldn't take a screenshot, but here's how I ran into a bug a couple of times: Fill up 100 shards Click the "Claim" button for a container (it was a little unresponsive, required clicking twice) Click "open x1" At that point, I get a notification that says: "info: undefined." Trying to open it, the open button became the orange Buy More button, without actually opening a container. I reloaded and my container did not come back. I'm not sure if I received a reward or not. A similar thing has happened with Weekly Containers, but with them, this happens: Claim a weekly mission reward Click the "open all" on weekly containers When I do this sometimes, the button greys out, and no weeklys open. Reloading the page restores the weekly containers and allows me to open them.

    Continuing experiments

Hey! Idk if anyone will actually see a comment this far down, but I figured I'd give some honest, constructive feedback. Here goes! I like this experiment better than the last one, and indeed better than the original 8v8. Here is what I liked the most: There is always something to do in battle - no cruising around waiting to find any enemy or teammate. The turrets are more balanced: various ranges and styles are all viable when there are more targets Supplies don't go to waste as often, but also don't seem to give druggers quite as huge of an advantage over other players as before. It's a good balance that makes players rely more on skill. Introducing several of the previously pro-only maps to MM brought more variety and interest to the game. Drones and alterations that previously were hard to use to their fullest can now more easily be used, making creative strategies more viable. Waiting times and lag were only minimally affected, at least for me. There were a couple things I didn't like so much either, so here they are: Light hulls did not function as well in such crowded battles. Though their speed was nice for the size of the maps, there are simply too many enemies to effectively dodge shots from or avoid, and so the speed was less of a redeeming quality than it used to be. Wasp and Hornet suffered the most, but Hopper probably would've as well if the experiment continued long enough for people to get used to fighting it. Despite the 16v16 format, the largest maps still felt empty. Specifically, Dusseldorf, Berlin, and Lost Temple would better with 20v20. Small maps are fun too, and I missed the variety they brought. So, what do I suggest? Bring back all map sizes, but instead of standardizing the number of players in every MM battle, balance the number of players with the size of the map. This should make players' experience more interesting but also more balanced. This balancing of players-to-size should also address light hulls' difficulty. Keep the overall density of players higher. Maybe not quite as high as, say, 16v16 in Year 2042, but definitely higher than, for example, 8v8 in Highways. Again, make the number of players proportional to the size of the map.

    Complaint Book

As Tanki brought up (rather strangely, but insightfully nonetheless) while changing augments, Railgun has a bit of a problem on its hands: Falcon (rail protection) modules are worn very frequently by many (if not most) players. It's not at all uncommon to enter a battle with Railgun and see six or more Falcon modules on the opposing team. The turret on its own, as evidenced by its popularity and winning tendency with Hornet (which has an overdrive that ignores the modules in question), is quite clearly overpowered in comparison to other turrets. Why would everyone be wearing modules if it wasn't? It's effective at any range, can skewer multiple tanks, has no chance of self damage, packs a high impact force - pretty much the perfect storm. Several of its augments are also very powerful, one of the most popular being Scout. The end result is that Railgun is too effective in comparison with other turrets when paired with Hornet, but is very hard to use effectively with other hulls because of the widespread protection. (It may be more powerful than other turrets, sure, but it isn't 35%-50% more powerful as the module use would require it to be). Why doesn't Tanki fix this? They just had a rebalance where they corrected several similar issues, such as the Vulcan imbalance, and the prevalence of the Shark module declined to normal levels shortly after that. Not only could they balance Railgun better, but they could make people more free to use their modules for protection against problematic turrets for them instead of generally OP turrets like Railgun. *I'm looking for your honest opinions here (or an answer from someone affiliated with Tanki); I don't mean for this to be a thread to respond with more complaining.
  24. Whoa! PLEASE don't increase experience relative to crystals. They both need a boost, to be sure, but making players earn more experience than crystals makes it much harder to upgrade their garages as they unlock new equipment. Because of that, it's not as efficient to play battles; it's best to only do your missions and leave. Doing that will decrease the amount of time players can play and still be successful.
