Star Series Season 3 Finals - Day 4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLx19GUkcrY In the beginning of the first round on Barda opponents took each other's flags and after eight minutes of trying, ALL IN finally managed to return their flag, but the flagholder's Hunter was not fast enough to capture the enemy flag. A similar thing happened in the second round - no captures after 2 full rounds. The third in Forest was completely 1-sided with ARCADE capturing a whopping 6 flags, losing none in the process. The fourth round began in similar fashion to the previous with ARCADE getting early flags, but ALL IN pulled a major come back and tied the score 4:4. With the great momentum ALL IN went on to win the fifth round on Red Alert. But ARCADE had the final laugh upon winning the sixth round, securing at least a Bronze Paint with possibility of even more, while ALL IN exits the tournament with only 4th place consolation prize of $4000. Final Score:- ARCADE 2 : 1 ALL IN Match Log : [Time in UTC]

Star Series Season 3 Finals - Day 3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSK1_IylcZg The first round in Bridges ended up in a 1:1 tie. The second round was more dynamical from GGWP's side managing to capture three flags while losing only 1 to PSYCHOS. They third round was played on Kungur, in what was a very intense game with teams holding each others flag with GGWP only managing to return their own flag before capturing 2 back-to-back flags in the dying moments of the round. PSYCHOS managed to get one too, but that was not going to be enough. Experiencing server lags, the 4th round was stopped and only to be replayed on the next day. GGWP captured the first flag and while it looked like it was game over PSYCHOS managed to return their own flag from the grips of GGWP and capture in the last 4 seconds of the round, thus ensuring a 5th round. However once on Barda PSYCHOS succumbed to GGWP's force after two days of tense battle. GGWP moves directly into the Superfinal, while PSYCHOS now has to fight 1 more time on Friday for a chance to see the Silver or Gold Paint in Saturday's Superfinal. Final Score:- GGWP.PRO 3 : 0 PSYCHOS

Star Series Season 3 Finals - Day 2

Match breakdown : @Lankbouv's analysis This was it, the big one we'd all been waiting for. ARCADE, on the back of a number of defeats, would surely be looking to take revenge for a 4-0 drubbing by PSYCHOS themselves, so this match was always going to be a matter of prestige for ARCADE The first round was played in Kungur, with ARCADE playing on the red side, arguably the better side while PSYCHOS faced them on the blue side. At the start of the round, the new trend of ensuring that neither side had drops continued, with a face off ensuing. This did not last long, however, as Muctep_Kpa6c (Mister Crabs), Hormony and S_E_N_T_E_X all picked up drops and they had soon rampaged all through ARCADE's base taking the flag back to their base. It eventually resulted as a capture, as both UDJIK and Advokatee somehow managed to flip their hunters, in two enormous blunders which cost ARCADE the first flag of the game. It was not long before the same thing happened again, Muctep_Kpa6c taking full drugs twice in the space of 5 minutes, and the second time he did this he made the score 2-0 to PSYCHOS with ARCADE barely having scratched the surface of their opponents base. All in all, PSYCHOS controlled the drops in the first round, which ended 3-0 due to another very similar capture near the end. Round 2 began with ARCADE on the offensive. You_Always_Iose used his wasp to great effect in bringing the PSYCHOS's flag to their base, where UDJIK guided the flag back the rest of the way for a capture, making the score 1-0, partly due to I.Shomaa's incredible shot, destroying any chance of a return. It wasn't long, before a similar thing happened with You_Always_Iose's wasp's speed proving the decisive factor in evading any attempts for a return as ARCADE made it 2-0. The rest of the round, was a relative breeze for ARCADE. At one point PSYCHOS had their flag almost about to be captured, but UDJIK saved the day, by appearing with full drugs, in Muctep_Kpa6c style and returning. Yes, PSYCHOS pulled a flag back, but UDJIK's skill with a hunter in Kungur was un-rivalled as the final score of the round was whopping 5-1. Round 3 was a game of ping-pong the whole way through which PSYCHOS ultimately won. Both teams took each other's flags near the start of the first round resulting in a stand-off. This was not remotely surprising, as Barda is well known for flag-standoffs. Ultimately though, after squabble after squabble over flags, with Only_Win performing a rather remarkable feat of parkour by accident and flipping himself, PSYCHOS came away 3-1 up with 3 minutes to go. Overall, you have to feel, that, should You_always_Iose had have been a little less frivolous with his wasp, and had left his nitro for a hunter ARCADE could well have managed a comeback. In the end, though, PSYCHOS found themselves 2-1 up in rounds. Round 4 started in an energetic fashion, with Olimdjon infiltrating ARCADE's base within a minute, completely owning A_R_A_K_E_L_Y_A_N who had a very poor round indeed and somehow taking a highly obscure route back to his base for a capture. ARCADE's attempt at a response was quickly snuffed about by the highly efficient PSYCHOS defenders who despatched UDJIK in style. It wasn't long, either, before Olimdjon was back in ARCADE's base, harassing the defense after having picked up a Double Armour. Notably, A_R_A_K_E_L_Y_A_N was once again not able to deal with the incoming hunter, missing several shots. Several minutes later, after a fair amount of camping by both teams, each team destroyed their opposing defenders and we found ourselves with a flag stand-off. At one point Kirill.132 should really have returned, and would have done, if it hadn't been for the long-lasting corpses of the eSports Server. This proved to be a pivotal point in the flag stand-off as, shortly after, A_R_A_K_E_L_Y_A_N made his first really good contribution to the game, by returning the flag. ARCADE swiftly captured and the score was 1-1 with just less than 5 minutes remaining. Moments later Olimdjon and ilmo12 took the ARCADE flag and almost captured, and would have done, if it had not been for a mistake by Hormony letting ARCADE return. Then, once more, both flags were taken and another flag stand-off ensued. PSYCHOS almost returned their flag a number of time, as ARCADE made a mess-up of attempting to hand their flag off up a ledge. They recovered slightly, only to have You_Always_Iose lag out, who was swiftly replaced by Advokatee. With only about 30 seconds to go in the round, both of the teams took the oppositions' flag to a more exposed place by their flag in the hope of a last minute capture in the case of a return. This ultimately led to a spectacular return by ilmo12, resulting in PSYCHOS edging the round 2-1. And here we were in Round 5, the deciding round for ARCADE. They had to win this, or the match would go to PSYCHOS, dropping ARCADE down into the losers bracket. It was to be played in Parma, a map notorious for flag-standoffs. And so the round began, with A_R_A_K_E_L_Y_A_N attempting to move down PSYCHOS right flank, to impede their attackers. Following on from this, in a move typical of the old Noobest, completely in control of the game, UDJIK, equipped with a nitro captured the first flag for ARCADE, making it 1-0. However, ARCADE did not remain ahead for long, gangstachel picked up a double armour and nitro in defence, but was promptly flipped from across the map, allowing Muctep_Kpa6c to take ARCADE's flag back to his base, with relative ease, 1-1. At around 6:30, Muctep_Kpa6c once again took ARCADE's flag, and almost made it out of their base, thanks to some beautiful support from his teammates from across the map, but was shot down moments later. ARCADE responded in turn, by bringing PSYCHOS' flag back to their base and could well have captured if it had not been for gangstachel getting flipped again So, with 3 minutes remaining, possibly the most epic, and long-lasting flag stand-off of all time happened. UDJIK, with nitro took PSYCHOS flag, while PSYCHOS did the same with ARCADE's flag. Both teams pounded the other sides flag carriers, but neither side could return. You_Always_Iose steamed in with his wasp, time after time, but somehow did not manage a return. As you listened to ARCADE's TeamSpeak call on the russian stream you could now hear the intensity of the ARCADE players' voices. Finally, You_Always_Iose managed a dramatic return, expecting his teammate to capture. However, it was not to be. Muctep_Kpa6c, who had had an amazing match, was blocking Only_win from capturing, almost a centimetre from the flag. You could hear the frustration in the ARCADE players' voices, as Muctep_Kpa6c returned his flag. ARCADE, in the hope of somehow grabbing a flag, bombarded PSYCHOS' base, and a 20 second stand-off resulted, but this time, neither side had time to return, making the final score of the round 1-1, with PSYCHOS winning the match in dramatic circumstances. ______ Overall, PSYCHOS had certainly been the better side. Olimdjon and Muctep_Kpa6c in particular had played amazingly well, their attackers picking up the necessary drops and capturing a great number of flags. ARCADE, in contrast, in all honesty, looked a shadow of their former selves. A_R_A_K_E_L_Y_A_N was certainly no longer the best smoky in the game, and ARCADE's tactic of defending with hornets also did not work, with gangstachel in particular flipping way too many times.

Star Series Season 3 Finals - Day 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2XSyWWIxnw The match started in Kungur. PSYCHOS were prepared seriously for this match and didn't need much time to capture the first flag. Soon, the second one was captured, followed by the third one, leaving no chance for ARCADE to take over. ARCADE started the second round strong, capturing 5 flags and losing only 1, the perfect response to PSYCHOS' first strong round. At this point in the overall match score was 1 - 1. The next two rounds were played in Barda. It took 3 minutes for PSYCHOS to capture the first flag of the round, but soon they captured two more, making it easy to guess the outcome of the round. The rounds in Barda were both won by PSYCHOS. The 5th round started in Parma, where both of the teams captured a flag in the first minutes which turned out to be the only captures in that round ending up in a 1 - 1 tie. Final Score:- ARCADE 1 : 3 PSYCHOS

Star Series Season 3 Finals - Day 1

Match breakdown : @Lankbouv's analysis We already knew the first battle was going to be an exciting one when with the potential 6 rounds that could be played with a different map after each 2 rounds as opposed to the typical 4 on just 1 map as we've seen all throughout the season. The first round, on Parma, the famously even-sided map had a more exciting start than it should of had.. All the drops had been taken, and neither side seemed to pose any remarkable attacking threat to one another. However, All In were caught napping as lutu and KOT-9 infiltrated the All In base quickly making their way back to their own base and capturing. Noticeably, this was mainly due to GGWP's eagerness to advance down their left flank at the start of the round, which ensured no one would touch their flag, allowing their attackers to capture. Soon after, both flags were taken, and then began a tense standoff, with both sides not eager to give up the opposition's flag. However, mainly due to listorub's carelessness by letting himself get shot easily, GGWP's flag was returned and All In's flag was captured. Then, soon after, GGWP captured another, and it was at this point they switched off, based on the assumption they had won. This allowed All In to pull back two flags, making the final score 3-2, not entirely reflecting the general 1-sidedness of the round in GGWP's favour. With the teams switching sides for the second round, the battle started in a similar fashion, except, this time both flags were taken simultaneously. Instead of a long standoff however, GGWP managed to return quickly and capped to make the score 1-0. Soon after, All In showed some attacking promise, with their hunters taking many shots to grab the GGWP flag and head back to their base, however, unfortunately for them, the GGWP attack arrived just in time to stop them capturing. And then, in the true irony of Parma, a long stand off again ensued which sadly for All In, resulted in GGWP capturing again. By the end of the round, it had become clear to viewers that All In did not have the patience for a lengthy standoff and parma was definitely not their strongest map as a result. This was backed up by another swift capture for GGWP, resulting in the round being won 3-0. Round 3 started off in barda, and once again both sides made sure the other team did not have any tangible drops to use on each other, except the odd Nitro which were spent in futile efforts to sneak down the side of the map. The round in general, was GGWP's but All In did have the upper hand at the start, as around 09:00 green picked up double drops, and both he and Juness cleverly infiltrated the enemies' base from the non-standard side. This caught GGWP by surprise, and thanks to green's incredible shot which predicted exactly when his opponent would pop out, they brought the flag back to their own base. At one point, it looked possible that GGWP would return, however, KOT-9 flipped with his wasp on the bridge when he had a fair chance to return and All In made it 1-0. GGWP soon regained their footing, and KR1 picked up a double-armour and nitro which were carefully left for him by his teammates, and the large number of shots he could take before dying meant that GGWP soon captured in a swift manner. Then several minutes of quiet exchanging of shots followed and after a while both flags were taken. Both teams seemed to have secured their opponents' flags in their own bases, when suddenly, KOT-9's wasp allowed him to sneak in between his opponent unnoticed and make the return, hence allowing his teammates to capture and ensured GGWP winning the round 2-1. At this point, it started looking pretty hopeless for All In. They had had a good chance to at least tie a round, however, Juness' carelessness and messi_barca's occasional lack of attention meant that GGWP were 3-0 up after 3 rounds. Round 4, was the ultimate make-it-or-break-it round for All In who had to win this round to have a chance of pulling off a draw in the overall match. Once again things began with All In showing prowess in swiftly bringing GGWP's flag back to their base. This lead lasted merely 5 minutes as All In tried to maintain yet another flag stand-off but gave in to GGWP's constant pressing, making the score 1-1. All In had one last chance to salvage the round, when IgrokBezPravil had double drops and could well have captured. However, due to his seem inability to drive past a wall, he was stalled up long enough for GGWP to grab the All In flag and run away. As you'd guess by now, another flag standoff, and as you'd guess again following the match's trend on these situation, All In were the first to let go of the flag and GGWP wasted no time to make the capture, finishing the round on a 2-1 score. Overall, GGWP's convincing management of flag-standoff's ensured their superiority. They came out on top on all four flag standoff occasions there has been during the game. All In, in contrast had made way too many blunders to have any hope of beating this strong GGWP team which look determined and certainly good enough to finally break Arcade's hold on the StarSeries.

Star Series Season 3 Finals - Day 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmhiCM_fqZQ The match started in Parma and right away GGWP.PRO showed its high level of preparedness by winning the first round as well as the second round. GGWP.PRO made aggressive attacks and very early during these rounds ALL IN's flag was captured. Round 3 and 4 were played on Barda, where the teams showed almost identical gameplay, but GGWP.PRO won round 3 with just a one flag advantage. ALL IN did not give up yet and went on to capture the first flag of round 4, but GGWP.PRO would make a comeback and after that they even managed to capture their second flag in the last 5 seconds. Final Score:- GGWP.PRO 4 : 0 ALL IN

  18. All Dueling topics are now moved to the Specialists clubs section. We've also created a Tandem Club section and hope to see as many Tandems as solo duelers in future. Your feedback about it is greatly appreciated. There hasn't been much changes in the clan section. We'll tackle that part in a few weeks time once we've finished the other eSports parts. For now Tier 1 and Tier 2 are locked. All new clans get created in 1 section. Once we have a proper plan for clans and their progression we'll start making the changes. As for the new Resources section we aim at filling it with useful material typically used by our eSportsmen as well as useful guides made by you. We'll even give you some rewards for producing great pieces of work for that section. More info about that in the coming weeks ;) oh and btw, in the coming days you might see something like that in the Events section All your comments and suggestions are welcome in the Feedback topic
  19. We've also added this news section to keep you guys updated about various events or news concerning eSports. Just click on at the top right corner of the eSports News section to keep up-to-date

    Relaunching of EN Community eSports

As we mentioned earlier we made some changes to the eSports forum. As you can see we removed the old FreeSport section and subsection in favour of community events and added some new section for the rules and a news section. Community events are paused for now, but as you'll see some of the tournaments that started out before the changes were made are being allowed to come to completion. In the mean time we'll be working on a new plan for tournament organisers to better help them in making more dynamic and successful events for all. One of the main complaints about old FreeSport events were lack of prizes from the start. We'll try to tackle this and set some programme which will guarantee your events a minimum funding provided it meets certain criteria and drastically improve the funding where the even goes beyond expectation. The new set of rules are designed to be global to eSports and flexible enough so organisers need not rewrite new sets each time they make an event or find themselves being tricked by some clever participants trying to play around the rules. And If it happened we missed out on something, let us know and we'll include it to the set for all to benefit from it

hehe , just stumbled upon this quite by accident tbh and it kinda reminds me of this old plan we had for just that period this thread was started Well as you can see for yourself the initial map was scrapped and we got a better looking one http://i.imgur.com/OEnZZuV.png and for various reasons the race event never happened. There was actually more to the the first picture but I can't remember where it was written , I may even not have the file anymore, or it could simply have been in skype chats, can't remember. But yeah, tanki races are always fun :D
