Played Polygon a couple of times. I think flag placement is an issue, it is far too easy. Shove the flags in more inaccessible points. Shafts are not really an issue with a rico or thunder firing on them. Garder never really caught on the first time it came out, but it honestly looks like the CTF version would be fun. Hopefully it catches on.

It is competitive when used in conjunction with double power and the stuff you are shooting at has no paint protection or double armor loaded. you can still defend fairly well with cover, but attacking a flag isn't really an option against Tier 2 M3 competition. So is it obsolete? Only if you plan on attacking the flag.

Bottom line - If they rebalance the weapons they need to rebalance the scoring system altogether. If a lower rank smokey can make his way into a tier 2 battle and be competitive, he is going to be amassing an insane amount of points for the kills being posted. Russia will probably win, they have both heavy hitting tanks, tank control and tactics down. Pretty sure they have great communication via skype or ventrilo also. USA is decent, not sure they are at the same level tactically as the russians though. Seems like the Russian teams actually think through each map and the weapons / armors they are going to use to both defend and attack. That is something US players definitely don't think about prior to a game. KSA players may get third or fourth. While they have fully loaded tanks, decent tank control, but tactically they are horrible. They primarily use Overpowering as their primary tactic to win games they take over, which doesn't work against equally powered teams.
