Whenever there is an earthquake, there is definitely an earthquake. Are you good at biological calculus?

player @dupuy has been banned for as long as my tortoise lives. Reason: I'm supposed to ban you for the game to continue.

You must always earn your likes. There is no shortcut to success... (well, you could post a nice pic in TPOTD, or Real Photo, or congratulate a whole bunch of helpers in Congratulatory Post...) Which day of the week is your favorite and why?
-
TWBH coz Spy is sinister.

A 6 was once larger than a 5. But God declared that numbers shall always be inferior to words. Hence 6 is less than five. Why do Admins get incinerated?
-
But it might be hot coz you can always fight back and win.
-
If you multiplied 5 and 4, you'd get 20, not 21! Are you good at mathematical history?
-
Um, somewhat... coz I've won 2 days on this account! How many days have you won? (Check your profile)

I might eat broccoli if it tasted like chocolate. Would you eat chocolate that tastes like broccoli?
-
Nice... So admins do get Incinerated... um, at least Flexoo does! Thankfully, gamers respawn...
-
Whatever is your question, I must avoid it at all costs. Do you dare think that I like broccoli?

@ILiveOnTheChatBox123 This will be hot coz chatbox is here!!!

But it might be hot, coz I rarely get that message.

I have a suggestion for a new prize/award, as another category in the Best of AWS awards: You reward writers of the AWS for the titles of their works. Judging could be done on the basis of how witty and appropriate the title is. It doesn't matter whether the title belongs to a story or poem or guide or review. What do you think?

By the way, I sometimes even turn off the skybox if I'm lagging too much ? But I really liked this idea, and as Maf said, it could be a 24 minutes cycle.
-
Wow, I didn't know that! Well, maybe because I have the lowest graphics settings to avoid lags and crashes on my potato PC xD This is a great idea!

How many winners will there be? I really enjoyed the experience of writing my entries for this contest, as it was fun and challenging! I'd love to see such contests in the future, but I might not participate... ?

Um, I won't lie, but saving up more than 200 tankoins is extremely difficult if you don't buy. I'm currently trying a new (new for me, old for many others) experiment, though. I'm saving up weeklies on this account, which is WO5 right now, and planning to open them all at once at Legend. I'll definitely have at least a hundred weeklies by then, which is 300 tankoins. Even this isn't an impressive amount. If I manage to get 500 tankoins, I'll definitely save them for a good challenge which will have the augments and paints that I really want, and then buy a battle pass. That's all I think that can be done. 2.5k tankoins is a distant dream for me... do let me know how you think a non-buyer can get that amount, without excessively participating in tough contests or giveaways. But thanks for the advice! Also, I don't really buy coinboxes coz I feel "a need to gamble ". I simply buy them coz, as I mentioned, I feel that they are the best use of tankoins (for non-buyers that rarely accumulate more than 150-200 tankoins...).
-
LOL thanks! ? Well, since I'm a total non-buyer, and I feel almost nothing in the game is worth buying for real money (personal opinion alert!), getting Tankoins is super tough! You can at most get them from contests like The Game, or some giveaways and stuff, but hey, I have never taken the game that seriously! I play just for fun! Getting tankoins from weeklies is the only sure way to get tankoins. If you manage to save up 150, which is a great feat in itself, then here are your options: 10 coinboxes, 1 container, 1 UT container, 15 Country paints, and maybe a Goldbox, or nowadays some supplies and premium. Now out of this, according to me, it's best to get 'em 10 coinboxes, coz you get a chance to get more tankoins. I admit that you rarely get more tankoins than you pay, but if you do get more, you could buy a decent kit, or buy more coinboxes, or get a battle pass, or buy a hull Immunity. It's very similar to gambling, but I feel it's the best option for those who don't spend real money on the game. In real life, obviously my way of handling finances will be different. Gambling is like hitting an axe on your foot instead of wood, in real life. But virtually, when you have practically nothing at stake, I love to experiment. This is a game, and I treat it that way. I enjoy the community more! I sometimes feel I like the Forum more than the game! To me, it's more about meeting and playing with wonderful people around the world, than playing the game super seriously and overworking myself. Of course, there are people who feel quite differently from me, and well, that's the reason we have buyers, that's how the game thrives, and I respect that. I am grateful to those who buy. Due to them I can play one of my favourite games and enjoy it (most of the time). Regarding discounts, they are useful only for crystal-based purchases, coz you hardly get enough tankoins, and I do use them as wisely as my small brain can allow...

Don't be shy, Spy!

Thanks a LOT for the awesome feedback! Commas, it seems, will always trouble me... but I'll try and overcome this 'comma' issue. Thanks for italicizing certain thoughts... I had never thought of it! It has a great effect. Thanks for the mini-lecture on independent clauses! I'll try to keep that in mind. And please do continue to give critical and detailed feedback, I never feel bad! A little background as to how this story came about: I had just finished reading the Trials of Heaven series by Nat, and a few great stories by other AWS writers like Lose and Dupuy, and I had found that their works had a certain richness; the text had some beautiful and sometimes powerful words and phrases that had a profound impact on the reader. Also, I was rereading a book, Sparkling Cyanide by Agatha Christie, and it had a wonderful style of writing. (before the AWS, I never read books for their writing finesse, but mainly for entertainment.) I wanted to try and write that way. My previous stories were decent, but they rarely had any rich words or phrases (except Not For Nothing, perhaps... xD). I think when you asked me to be more descriptive, Random, it helped me to start using better synonyms. To describe the same mundane thing in more than two lines does require you to add some figures of speech, some idioms, or better synonyms... So I just wrote "Sam sat on the sidewalk underneath a flickering streetlamp." in my notebook, and began writing as if it was my English exam, and that this sentence was the cue to start a story. Of course, when you do this, the plot does tend to change a lot, but I managed in the end!

Do you plan to optimize the HTML5 version even more so that even players with not-so-decent computers can also play in a relatively hassle free way, with a decent FPS, and low PING?
