Very well said and I agree with what you've said. however I'd like to look at the angles of it There are multiple areas of pressure to get people to buy crystals. Once people notice what it means to have more power with better supplies, equipment, micro-upgrades, etc. They either give in and hand over the credit card or keep it to themselves and work through it. The game wouldn't survive without the people who don't pay. I wouldn't say those players stop at Brigadier, I'd say around Major. Once people have passed that they generally go farther. The one year, short term kind of gamers wont get passed Major. I thought it was explained in a Vlog that it would be possible to transfer over to Unity...But of course they see it as a new beginning. They would probably rather get the Unity oriented audience that has moved on from Flash and recreate the base of the game from scratch. I once saw somewhere on the company's site that their goal was to have the game reach 1 billion people by the year 2020. I've not been able to find it since. Even with the new graphics, the current monetary system is what is going to prevent the longer term players that may purchase several times to be prevalent. The fact that there is a sizable amount of players that don't make it past a certain rank should be a red flag. But I digress, Unity is not the knight and shining armor for the game. It will bring out the broader audience(progress), but people will see through the purchasing pressures just as they have prior. More change with the new platform will be key.

Put a thumbtack in a corner of the missions somewhere so they can be pinned. Once clicked, the Change button goes away and you don't have to worry about an accidental click. Button can be clicked again to unpin. An "are you sure" message would also be nice when changing, although its already been suggested. Something I am unsure of: If lower ranks have the possibility of getting bigger missions as well. With such a select amount of missions that get cycled through and the fact that you get three a day probably gets old for people. There are not enough missions of course, but I'm sure lower ranks wouldn't mind a mission that takes them 1 to 2 months to complete, instead of 1 to 2 days. Needs. More. Suggested. Maps....Suggesting all the popular ones is pathetic. Have people go to Osa, Solikamsk, Barda, Molotov, etc.

Hey tanker, its time to brush off the dust on your Alternativa Editor and get to work; its the paper's very first installment of "Tanki Online MapMaker" contest! With the upcoming release of the Unity, there is still uncertainty about the maps of the game. Therefore, it is time to resurrect the lost art of map making and you have a chance to be a part of the movement. Your task is simple; create a map using the props provided. I'll give you the details so you can be on your way to make your card. Rules: 1. The map you submit must demonstrate your personal work and should be unique unto you. Submitting others work is prohibited. 2. You mustn't take any current game map, former game map, or contest entry map and recreate/change it for the contest. Brand new maps are what we're looking for. 3. Only the props in the "library" folder of the TanksTestingTool you will receive can be used. External prop usage is not advised. If you did not find a certain prop that you felt you needed, please describe it or post a picture of what you wanted. 4. Gameplay area of the map cannot be bigger than 55x55 spaces. You can extend the borders past what will be played on, but its not required. 5. File size cannot be bigger than 2,401 kb. 6. You can only submit 1 map. Makes me think of Deck-9, which was removed within the last year or two. The gameplay becomes stale when people only play popular maps. The fact that there are "dead" maps in the game also devalues the experience even further. .

The Firebird; all I can say about that is "run and hide"...lol. Depending what position I'm playing dictates the hull I will use out on the battlefield. My primary hull is the Viking. The faults of each category must be recognized before the benefits. When someone can live with the downsides, they'll be able to see passed them and know the good of it; based on that, they decide. Then you must be divergent. Oh what will we do with you?

Just remember, the stars make it look like you're hiding something. I feel like this is some sort of fan fiction that needs to be pursued. What is also clear is that the variety of missions is also very small. You need to expand the spectrum because you're basing your data on very minimal standards that you've set to start out. You'll just have to revisit this same issue down the road when you add more.

Time to get down and dirty about the most over used and lose term used in the chat; “noob.” Sometimes being spelled as “n00b,” this four letter word is easy to type and rolls off the tongue. It’s one of the most cliché terms associated with online gaming; therefore, we should look to clean it off and put it in its place. You can’t deny your use of the word, even once or twice. Everyone is guilty of this seemingly minute insult. To level the field, we will consider all past uses cleared.... And that is where it will stay if you keep reading. Let’s scrub deep into the word and its uses so we can determine how to use it in the future. Its Meanings "Noun, Slang: Usually Disparaging. A newbie, especially a person who is new to an online community and whose online participation and interactions display a lack of skill or knowledge: Some games and gaming forums are crawling with annoying noobs." – Dictionary.reference.com This is the most commonly understood version of the words definition; whether or not people recognize both parts of the meaning is a different story I’ll get to. If you weren’t aware of two contingencies, being new to something AND lacking skill, then you’re setting yourself up for the trap. "(Internet slang, pejorative) A newb or newbie; refers to the idea that someone is new to a game, concept, or idea; implying a lack of experience. Also, in some areas the word noob can mean someone is obsessed with things." – Wiktionary I included this version because of the last explanation depicting its alternate use, one I don’t see used very often in the game. Used as though it was referring to the person as an addict. It seems hard to believe when if one were obsessed with a game they would be more likely to be good at it than not. Also note that it highlights the first definition's aspects in a more definitive way. “New, inexperienced person.” Internetslang.com This three word explanation subtly defines the two contingencies with just the words “new” and “inexperienced.” The length only goes to show how such a site backs the word and how serious it is taken amongst internet junkies. It should give a hint as to how it should be used. Incorrect usage One can either be sure or have the gist of the words meaning and not use it with both contingencies in mind. In the heat of the moment, it is used derogatorily toward the opposition and fellow colleagues. Users are typically unaware of how long a player has been playing the game or their skill level. What level of play the user sees of the player is what they judge from and call them out on. When we judge someone, we tend to pick out the negatives and accentuate them prior to even considering the positives, or with total disregard to them at all; which in a lot of cases is how the word is used. It’s thrown out like Halloween candy left over from previous trick-or-treat events. People don’t want anything to do with it and it is out of date. Players don’t put in time and effort into a match to see them being called something to be believed inferior and users aren’t aware of the player’s effort or service to the team. Most importantly, the word is frequently used upon players who are not anywhere close to being considered a newbie. If that is the basis of the word and its origin, then one cannot infer that the person is a noob based on simply seeing them play in circumstantial battle. When to use Noob Along with the word being used incorrectly, it’s also become the go-to insult used in online gaming. If you use the word regularly, you’d be more likely to be perceived as an obsessive gamer compared to anyone else who would have just bit their lip. And is labeling someone with such a merciless word is supposed to make them better? Is it going to solve all the problems associated with someone you consider to be inferior? No, it will not; thus it’s not appropriate in the heat of battle. Since rarely used with both contingencies in mind, “noob” should only be used within friendly banter and with people who will know if you’re joking. It should only be said in minor-hearted conversation and should only be taken as a poke to one’s side. This doesn’t mean you can use the word left and right on your friends, just every once and a while in select instances when the mood is groovy. Who does it hurt? Now that the word is cleansed of its impure use and properly shined, we can conclude that the word noob is more harmful in hindsight of the user. Depending on timing, the word looks worse on the annunciator than the one labeled. When the use does reflect badly on the informant, we could reason that person’s efficiency and say it that attributes to 10 unforced errors that otherwise would not have happened. All prolific speakers with Noob in their vocabulary should consider that a challenge; to make yourself a better player and give others a chance to enjoy the game in peace.
