While an alternative to an omnicient view is a good way to appease the requests of players, Ilya did not explain to us whether or not the game will ever permit players the divine glance. If you're trying to tell players that this will never happen then a direct answer is needed. People will just keep talking about spectator as they always have. I personally don't see the need in giving players spectator, so either bring them up or shut em up.

And are they doing that actively right now? Hazel says no. Changing the game isn't their primary job...Thus why I asked what they're going to do for the community. Common decency seems to be out the window with common sense.

I want to clarify, if there was the thought that this and UMG were the same thing. From what I understand, the goal of this group is to get the playerbase into playing different maps. Whilst that can be the same for members of UMG, these players have the predetermined want to experiment and look to play these battles for benefit and enjoyment. Two different things but all in good motion. Its great that this is being done, but simply creating the battles wont do much. Players have to see a decent amount of people playing the map before they'll join. I'd be open to a merger as we can accomplish both goals faster if we team up. The problem is the eSports disfunctionality of being forced to go to Star Ladder and trying to maintain a big chunk of the forum at the same time. Sorry DS So does that mean you'd move UMG to the General forum? :D

As far as I know, that is the case, they're not interested in updating the Editor when they'll (and hopefully we'll) probably use the Unity editor later. The MMCKit on the front page should have everything in working order. You have to instal adobe AIR in order to instal AlternativaEditor. All the libraries are there in individual folders and the one labeled "Server" is all the libraries in one with the most up to date versions of the props we have. The software works on Windows OS only.

News from the Map Makers Club Brand new policy has been introduced that is for YOU mostly. -Different rankings have been established within the club; "Cartographer" (candidate), Card Creator (amateur), and Map Maker (expert). -The works of Map Makers will be kept in our personal vaults and not on the forum until further notice. When Unity is closer, the vaults will start to creep open. -We are accepting applications as always, but also recruiting by sending private messages to players that have shown an interest by posting a map. They will be invited in as Cartographers where they will do a number of tasks to improve their skill as an editor and innovator.

How many people have given an in depth opinion of why this should or should not be in the game? Probably very few. So that offers either big benefit or little friction on those group of developers who more than likely look at it from a more quantitative perspective than a qualitative perspective. They want to bring the game to mobile devices, as you know, and they'll recognize that mobile users like the idea of emoticons and such text displays, so that would give them their basis to put it in the game anyway. Catch my drift?
