YES! This is it! I noticed the exact same thing. After placing this augment in the battle pass the devs may have silently decreased the freezing rate (if it wasn’t already weaker).

Yep, Cryo and Jamming augments seem to be the new meta (apart from Helios and Pulsar, of course).

Is it now 50% of the minimum temperature? Or did it not change like most Burning augments did.

You can camp at the back and troll Crisis users by switching off their extra supplies ?

A lot of players have EMP immunity and quite a few are now using Jammer immunity (since the latest BP) so barely anyone has Freeze immunity equipped. That makes me really want to play Cryo Smoky now…

Oh yeah, I remembered that Freeze + Dictator in Silence was you ? And yeah, I was testing it out and the crit rate does seem to have increased a bit.

I calculated five crits out of approximately 23 shots on target.

Just for clarification, look at this streamer‘s video showcasing Pulsar about a week and a half ago: It’s definitely increased. Well, in that case, I must change my opinion. It does seem to be much more powerful than I initially stated.

Something is wrong here. I just know it. Why is the crit rate so high on Pulsar today? Have a look at @Hiroyukisa’s video as well - he’s getting crits every few shots just like you are. Surely the devs have put through some sort of patch update today? I suspect a few Pulsar owners may have complained about how low the crit rate was so the devs decided to increase it.

Is this gameplay from today? I could swear that Tanki have increased the crit rate on Pulsar or Rico generally in these last few days…once again it seems abnormally high compared to before.

The problem isn’t that it was going to get nerfed. It’s that it was mediocre and unoriginal from the start.

Honestly, I would be fine if they just increase Rico’s range a little bit and give Helios a hefty nerf. After all, Pulsar is supposed to be a uniquely-obtainable and limited time augment. Ideally though, Pulsar would have been much more unique if it had a random status effect lasting two seconds with each crit. Now that would have made it a really fun augment to use.

Watching this clip, I am convinced that mobile players get some sort of crit rate buff. Either that or it’s some weird bug. That crit rate is not normal.

I’m not seeing a lot of these three drones being used at the higher ranks but I am seeing A LOT of Blasters, Saboteurs and Boosters as well as the odd Defender.

I would rate Trickster above Crisis and Hyperion tbh. The extra speed is incredibly useful in virtually every mode and moreover it’s unlocked relatively early. With Crisis I am often forced to switch to Armour mode in a direct engagement which severely limits my DPS, though the extra speed is definitely nice. In fact, I would probably rate Hyperion above Crisis as well since you are never left without armour, damage and speed boosts. So yeah - Trickster, Hyperion, Crisis - in that order. You could make an argument for Hyperion over Trickster but I still think that extra speed gives the latter the win here.

Trickster is overall the best drone in the game. Change my mind.

Agreed. It’s just one second and people heal through it like it’s nothing. Even the five second burning at 50% (?) temperature is a bit of a joke. Really, really gimmicky.

Oh no, I have seen the future… NEW “DETECT” STATUS EFFECT - affected enemy tanks are revealed to you and all teammates and have their outlines visible for 10 seconds.

Short and melee range turrets can still work well for a completely F2P player (especially with Trickster) and with the right augments, but you’ll have to expose yourself to a lot of damage doing so which usually means that your survivability is extremely limited and therefore your score. This is even more true in the current climate where burst damage is king. However, out of the melee range turrets, you’ve made the right choice in using Freeze. It has great DPS which is made even better with Adrenaline. I believe Duplet Hammer was made viable again in a recent patch which is why I mentioned it. But HCAC and AR are overall more effective Hammer augments. For Smoky Cryo rounds does seem to be the way to go, as @TheCongoSpider hinted at. I don’t use Smoky much but I assume it’s simply due to the nature of the Freeze status effect (although, I must say, I was under the impression that it was nerfed recently, or was that Incendiary rounds?..) I personally like SR Smoky with Hornet/Dictator and Booster/Crisis for those high-damage crits. And yes, it is gimmicky, so it may or may not fit your own playstyle and preferences.

The infamous no damage bug seems to have somehow reappeared for me after a year since it was supposedly fixed.
