Karma = ban history. You can call it however you want :) And you can have ok karma if you didn't get banned for a year or two, for example. They aren't robots, they simply have the rules of conduct they gotta follow. It's completely normal thing anywhere in the world - if you get into a bar and order a meal, your waiter is not going to sit in your lap and feed you your lunch, right? Or get on your table and start singing karaoke - they are going to accept your order, serve you the food in a professional way and that's it. Same here - helpers are going to try to help you with Tanki issues you might have in a professional way, if they can. I wouldn't call that "robotic".

Unfortunately, we cannot censor what people are talking about. We can warn or ban but bans won't prevent unwanted topics to appear on the chat nor rude jokes about various issues. So the best option we can offer to players in order to protect themselves is to block everyone who bothers them or to simply disable the chat, if they want to prevent getting or reading any disturbing content completely.

I'd just like to add that it's a common misconception that ban history is somehow becoming clean if you're not getting a ban for 6 months - it doesn't. Karma is never getting "cleaned" nor deleted, it's a valuable document which contains the history of every player of this game. Also, having a clean karma isn't the most important requirement for helper positions so even if a player doesn't have any bans, it still doesn't mean he or she will become an official helper of the project.

The greatest leaders in our history were ordinary men ;) Just because few players ignore you or doesn't take you seriously shouldn't discourage you to be the best you can and try harder... It will give results in a longer run and help you in life as well, not just in an online game :)

There's a lot of requirements that each player has to fulfil in order to become an official helper of the game and unfortunately, for most players it's not possible. But the fact that you didn't become an official helper shouldn't discourage you to help other players in your own capacity and support the community in whichever way you can :)

For me, old Kungur was the best map in the game... a lot of options for parkouring and attacking enemies from the walls that surrounded blue base... Also you needed really good driving skills to run with the flag from that base, the passage across the rails was much more narrow in the old version in the map, you were more likely to end up in the ditch than to actually escape with the flag. Btw, you lack original Fort Knox and Fort Knox II maps in your review, those were different from current Fort Knox map.

It's good that we cannot, that option was abused a lot in the past.

Once upon a time, Tanki looked and felt quite different from now - crystals were falling from the sky, freeze could actually freeze, parkour wasn't a format, maps had different look and shape, enemy teams would hang out one with another after the battle was done, fairplay was alive and well and special paints weren't that easy to find on the battlefield. Anything Makoto Shinkai directed or wrote is worth seeing imo. That guy doesn't have one bad item on his list of works.

Never understood why is everyone so hung up on Code Geass - CLAMP has much better works under their belt, like X , Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle or Blood-C.

Often those who are not at all known do a lot for this community, they are just not on the "out there" positions like chat or forum moderators... you can see by yourself by checking here. I second the notion to start from the scratch and put all Helpers in the poll, to make it a bit more fair. Also, it's better to make Best Helpers poll for the whole year, not only one month.

Chat was stopped only twice, when the situation on the channel got really heated and we couldn't get through to players anymore nor make them listen to us. So we stopped the chat in order to rely the message which was (finally) noticed by everyone and posted even here. Those who flammed the chat the most got only an hour ban, an action that was done in order to calm the situation down a bit and so the players who wanted to chat normally with others can use the channel again. It worked, the chat did calm down pretty fast without punishing too many players nor banning anyone for too long. And no, we cannot do whatever we want and ban whomever we want - for every action there's a proper reaction and all is documented with proper proof.

You don't realise that mods and admins cannot fix anything? We can only collect your complains and reports and send it to higher ups, those that actually develop this game? And I'm sorry but we cannot allow flamming of the chat, that's what contributes to lags immensely.

You do realise that there's a whole team of moderators working on the chat, trying to keep order and calming people down? They are banning flooders for an hour only, so anyone who's upset with an update can chill for a bit and calm down then return to the game without an overwhelming desire to flame the chat :)

Tanki admins are investing in communication and cooperation among themselves now more than ever before, in order to minimize the possibility of someone with problematic personality or low work ethics/activity getting into helpers. I dare to say that a lot of former helpers wouldn't even pass nowadays, exactly because we're now sorting criteria and requirements together and doing our best to encourage and accept players who are genuinely selfless and devoted to the community, even thought they already have a lot on their plate IRL. Sometimes less is more :)

It's clearly posted in the application rules for chat moderators what is going to happen. We cannot answer to each and every application, there are simply too many of them.

Coming from someone who's currently banned for 6 months for the acts of racism and major offence of other players in this game on his main, if I were you I'd start from myself before calling others "bullies", "suckups", "blind" or "stupid". As much as helpers are thought to be above the others with their "fancy paints and benefits", they are actually hard working members of the community who are managing chats and forums on daily basis, bringing you interesting & funny texts and articles in newspapers, helping you find your way through the game in Wiki and Help and altogether work A LOT to make this community and this game a nice and enjoyable place for everyone. Now, if you spent less time breaking the rules and more time thinking of ways how to get involved and help the community, I bet you wouldn't post offtopic posts now nor seven pages letter to Alternativa directors, you'd actually help other players to enjoy this game and post helpful tips and ideas on how to move onward and make this community the best one in Tanki. Which you still can, btw. Always a good time to start anew :)
