Guide [Issue 45] Surviving as a Pocket Isida
Moraine replied to sonofchrysalis3 in Newspaper Archive
I think it was a wrong idea of someone relatively inexperienced and low in rank to write about a turret that was already described and dissected in so many forum topics and Press articles. Most of the facts presented in your article are wrong - it's not true that isida's "solitary purpose is to heal one specific teammate"; isida is running a hospital in a battle, it's a bloodbath and it has to run left and right in order to help its team-mates, especially if only one player plays isida in a relatively big team. "Rarely does he kill any enemies, and he never captures flags" - again, not true; my DL ratio when I played isida was always bigger, since isida can be pretty OP as a fully upgraded M3, and there aren't many players who wear a paint against it. Plus there are isida players who are more interested to attack then to heal. Also, I know large amount of great isida players who are capturing flags on their own, rushing forward and healing themselves in the process by killing enemy players. And yeah, advices about "healing the leader" and "dropping mines" aren't useful at all for those who are playing in big maps without drugs, where they cannot and shouldn't focus on only one player (read the first part of my post). There is no "proper" way to play isida - you can be a killer or a healer. You can rush around on wasp or protect the flag / capture points on titan. You'll camp behind a shaft or a vulcan in a base, or you'll throw yourself in the heat of the battle, protecting your team-mates while they are laying siege on opponent's base. Whatever you do, just make sure you're actually being a helpful and useful member of your team as isida. If you're not, you should better change your equipment... In short, it would be nice if you wrote an article from a point of view of someone who is still testing isida, an article that would help players ranked lower than you to think about it and potentially choose it as their primary weapon; an article which would focus on what isida can and cannot do, and make it interesting for those who only just discovered the game. -
Why childish? I have the right to identify myself as agender. Please read more about it: http://nonbinary.org/wiki/Agender and don't presume you know me. Also, sorry about offtopic.

What, never heard of an alien potato? :P And potatoes do not have gender :)

Happy Holidays to all who celebrate, from your friendly neighbours, chat mods :)

Don't know what you're apologizing to me for...

OK, you guys are really exaggerating - yours is to enjoy the game, not to chase violators. Violations' section is not made for that. Read what I wrote earlier and take it into account. Topic closed.

Just like he said, we appreciate reports that help the community as a whole, and we're not in favour of players who report just to spite other players or are chasing violations in order to gain some kind of respect in the community or among staff members. As I said in other topics on the forum, we're not police, nor teachers, nor punishers and players themselves shouldn't behave as such. I'm always suggesting to simply block (put on Ignore list) all players you find disturbing or offending, which is more mature and overall better solution then report or even worse, insult back.

Chat mods were reintroduced to the game as consultants precisely so they could educate and inform low ranked players about the rules and the way to conduct on the public chat. We are focusing on EN servers in order to accomplish it, but as seen, we cannot be 24/7 on the chat nor we speak every language present in EN community in order to influence each and every player. Our impact is therefore limited, but with help of other players, who also spend part of their time in the game to help those with lower ranks, we're managing :)

I already said somewhere in this topic (or some other, tbh) that many chat mods do not even get any crystals for their work, since they do not wish it. The rest also do not expect to be paid by default. But some form of reward they do deserve, for doing highly stressing job for hours and hours on the chat, on daily basis, and since they do not have much time to play and earn crystals themselves, it's logical that they'll actually get crystals for their work. Idk that, never played XP.

I did reply in that topic some time ago. And explained why it is a bad idea, and what should be done instead imo.

Of course! We had pizza on menu today.

He didn't post the best part: I survived! :D

Tell your friend that he's lying - at least regarding knowing me and me chit-chatting with him.

We have no jurisdiction over Russian mods and Russian community. Hence, if you've been banned by a Russian staff member, you have to contact their administrators and complain to them directly, there is no point raising the issue here: http://ru.tankiforum.com/index.php?s=a732c2be22c83a458f92541aab1f9d79&showforum=256 And if tech support answered you, then the case is solved. Any further questions and complaints you should send to them. Good luck and take care.

You were already replied, please do not open multiple topics on the forum. Thank you.

These are Tanki rules: http://tankionline.com/en/rules/ and ofc we know them. Please, get over yourself...
-
That was no challenge, simple Q & A message. Everything cool. Nah, not confirmed.
-
That's how we're processing reports. No other way to do it, sorry.

Yes, I'm standing behind my statement, chat mods follow the rules and do not plant any mults. It's not their fault if they are followed around by players who want to be near them, impress them, or think they should prove themselves to staffers by "helping" them in any way. It applies to both low ranked and high ranked players. We certainly do not approve such behaviour. And please, this is not a topic for such discussion, for further questions pm me.

I stand corrected, thank you. It happens.
-
Make a battle for high ranks only, and you won't have issues with low ranked players joining the battle. He did tell you right - chat mods are not in charge of game violations, Game Violators are. We can only report the situation to them, they'll investigate it and figure out if someone is multing or not. Awww, I didn't know I can impact someone's life so deeply, you moved me man! :D (and no, I'm not lying 'cause I have no reason to). Os is done with the offtopic...
-
We do not have mults, we don't need them. Nor it's allowed per game rules, which we follow. Don't know whom you played against, but I don't remember being "annihilated" by EN community players in the past.

Generalising much? :)

Chat mods vs. players :) Thanks everyone for taking part in the game, was fun :)
