I like how you didn't include the barrel shadow because the sun is low enough to make it do that outside the frame. Well thought of for sure. I also like how you accentuated the sun's lighting on the buildings on the left with lowering expose of the background. Nice clean editing man, no distractive colors and blown out contrast or highlights. And apparantly the lens you used has 6 aperture blades based on the sun's flaring pattern :D

Critical will do 1540 damage all the time. (EDIT: no it won't, 770*) Desert is a wonderful open map. It gives lots of opportunities to knock someone off aim or do peak-a-boo behind the concrete walls. Both alterations will serve you great. I use the higher damage alt as defence, the stock Smoky on the mid-field and the knockback alt for attacking with light hulls. Lots of players use egogun there to camp at base so those are easy targets. Damn Magnums and Freezers are probably the worst enemies. I like how clean this map is. I always go in Desert to train my aim with Striker. I cannot think of a better map for Striker either. This is where I get the highest K/D's.

So if one indivual says that a game mode is boring, it has to go? Or do you represent the entire community? Ahh relax it'll be fine, you can just ignore DM's, they won't go anywhere. The only reason I can think of is that DM's suck away players from (your) preferred Juggernaut mode.

If you make use of the surroundings and decide whether to charge or not also makes a difference. You can go full ape-monkey-guerrilla tactic on heavier hulls and wear them out while being on the move constantly. I love Wasp for this. It has so much grip it feels like you're glued to the ground. It makes a ton of difference if you know the map and its obstacles too. You can drive backwards while firing and blindly knowing where you're going.. that's a huge advantage. Out of all turrets, Smoky is the one that gives me the highest K/D on Wasp (be it 1.7 average or something lol)

I agree, I keep firing when there's an enemy partially blocked by a teammate to get some splash damage. When I see an enemy in the open and I have the chance to hit a rocket in their face, I am certainly trying to hit that enemy straight on for max damage. Splash damage is especially nice when you want to deal damage without being exposed yourself. I ehh, I think it depends a bit on the situation. I will see if Shoe can make a difference in the open with salvo. I want to see if rockets still slam into team mates or not. :D

A Happy Meta is a Light Hull Meta - Light Hulls Suck

You should earn enough from missions if you keep doing 3 a day. Make the most out of your missions. If you don't do that you are simply missing out potential. If you deliberately stock up your supplies and not using them in battle you're limiting yourself and the team; no matter how skilled you are. It is all about canceling out the drugs of the enemy in this game. The whole economy here is based on drugs, go with the system or play pro battles. It is less important in the lower ranks but I don't want players in my team who think they are pro enough to leave the supplies in the garage. Basically those players are 50% weaker than everyone else. And it's not all about pressing buttons. Because of the different cooldowns, it doesn't come down to simply pressing a button anymore. There's a sequence to follow depending on the map or even your role in the map. -
That makes sense, I have trouble keeping my aim steady sometimes. I'm considering Hunter or maybe... Just maybe that huge Shoe, to shoot the rockets from a higher point. Currently 40-50% of my rockets land into team mates.

That made me laugh lol

I like Rugby more than CTF currently. It's easier to score points. Without drugs CTF is more tense though; the mode has been here for as long as I can remember.

A Happy Meta is a Light Hull Meta - Light Hulls Suck

If you don't drug, I'll consider you as mult. -
That's a bit biased don't you think?

Exactly, medium hulls are on drugs aswell. Why use a light hull when you can get effective speeds with much more armor. Even if you're Wasp on nitro, there's no way to go because there will be medium hulls cheaply killing you from the back. On obstacle-rich ground, medium hulls are about as fast as light hulls if you ask me. Everyone uses medium hulls. They have adequate speed on drugs. They have increased the speed of hulls but the maps have been kept around the same size and layout. The hull variety is destroyed. -
Does someone has tips on how to get better at aiming and driving and what settings are preferred? I am a complete mult to the team when I play through the mobile version. The controls are not ergonomic enough for a small screen. I use a 5,5 inch by the way.

But you're right. Developers might give it some more time so people believe they're microupgrading the best turret in the game. I am planning to buy Freeze protection only to see Freeze nerfed slightly after that purchase... They swapped stats between Hunter and Viking, made Isida's healing completely useless and Magnum has never been nerfed since it came out lol. Everything can happen. They might rip you off completely with these 'balance tweaks' if you have only one turret and hull in your arsenal because technically you're milking out the system. They rendered sole Isida users like my alt completely useless and my main has an M4 Isida with nanobot alt sitting in the garage for, I think; the rest of time. Time for everyone to buy more turrets and protection paints only to find out that your garage is full of underpowered items because there are not enough crystals to upgrade them.

Your name suits the turret.

Wowow they nerfed the score, Ok then. I will instantly stop using it and leave it there in the garage with the nano-bot alt for the rest of time. +- 615000 crystals gone to waste (raw price) But seriously, it was way to powerful so it had to be done.. I didn't have to do anything with Isida and reach #1st place. If I look back at all the benefit I gained from before the update I'd say that equals out the nerf somewhat. I just don't like what they did to the scoring system. I like Isida as a primary healing device. The alteration is now completely useless but I am not going to whine about to ask my money back because I know that will absolutely never ever happen ofcourse. But it's not underpowered at all, we still have the extreme damage output ánd the healing ability. Though I believe the administration should have done exactly the opposit; reduce scoring from damage instead of healing, or remove it altogether so the alt will get somewhat usefull. (and I can sit back in the base again healing everywon and finish 1st)

Juggernaut, Balance Changes and new XTs are coming!
splitterpoint replied to r_Nives5 in News Archive
How about letting it fly and drop bombs on people.. and the only players who can shoot the Juggernaut are Magnums. For sure that'll stop Freezers from swarming the poor fatman. -
284, I'm upgrading the drones in the meantime. I still have the Assault drone and that one is at 9 Mu's.. Out of my head I have no idea what it does though lol. I mean most of my favorite turrets are M4 anyway. You get batteries for free so might aswell use this feature. I don't know if it'll make a difference comparable to protection modules. But I don't like drones.. it made everything worth less again because there's a new money pit to fill before reaching peak performance.

Maybe... Just maybe Thunder users can breathe a little again in this game full of protection paints. Nice update! I'll be awaiting Juggernaut. If they all swarm the Juggernaut player I guess Magnum will be pretty effective. Does Freeze's freezing ability affect Juggernaut aswell? -
But I want matchmaking to stay because it is more fun than the old battle list.
-
Barely, people who use protection paints can easily follow me when I circle around them. It's not effective.
-
You got that right, No cheap kills on me either... I might even use speed boost to get close and blow up in their face.
-
Yes Smoky was my first M4, protection makes a huge difference like with all turrets. Short range guns with high damage output are affected less I guess since the protections are %-based and they do a lot of 'shots' or- damage clusters per timespan. Smoky is already pretty weak in dms but it has those critical shots and the direct hits + knockback. That makes it a worthy opponent. I mainly use the knockback alt in open maps where I face enemies head-on. I like how Smoky's main ability doesn't get affected when enemies use protection paints; where it does with Freeze's freezing. Knockback is always there.. and no one is tampering with the reload either lol. But yeah, you want to deal damage.. if that damage gets cut in half it feels like you're shooting with potatoes.
-
I think the main reason why people bring in the Smoky protection is because Smoky is very annoying to deal with, especially an experienced one. Not to brag or anything... Actually I am... Yeah I consider myself a pretty good Smoky user.. yeah so whenever I use the little turret with the knockback alt; I get a response of more protection paints. It seems a lot of people have their Smoky protection stand-by. It's always the stupid protection modules that equalize the skilled people and the noobs. I am being put down by those protection modules. The only turret where someone can really get potential with is Striker. Why bother getting better at something when people deminish your potential anyway. On the other hand, I understand this from a newb's perspective when alt accounts of high ranks dominate in the early ranks.
-
There's no P2W aspect here, you can take advantage of sales and do spend your crystals on one combination + additional protections. Protection modules are they key to win up in the highest ranks. No one needs an M4 just drugs and protection paints. The system also allows you to only buy one combination and MU that one during the mid ranks. There the MU's will make a difference. You can easily and effectively trick this game, it just requires insight. Newbies who've just discovered this game are probably overwhelmed by the sales on items and supplies and buy all sorts of stuff in the beginning. The game will lure you in for sure.. and why wouldn't they lol; I can totally understand it from a business perspective. So the player makes the choices, there's no right to mention P2W.. but if you want the extra stuff you'll need to pay for it.
