For me the 12th of April will go down in history as the day Tankionline lost most of it's charm. Many of the ingame dynamics have been swept away in one blow. No more dynamic game play, where everyone no matter what rank you were could come together for their social killing spree. It was this mixed bag in battles that appealed to me the most, but that's history now. No more Smoky's messing up the aim of railguns, no more Twins stalling Freezes in their movement and so on. Every tank or gun had it's own purpose and believe it or not, this mixed bag of players could be just as well balanced as any other team. Battles have become less versatile now, only tier 2 weapons to worry about for me thus making it less interesting. Expensive Paints have turned out to be a complete and total rip-off. Take for example Emerald. The 30% Smoky and Twins protection has become obsolete for high ranks, since those guns belong to the past now. Sure a high ranked Marshal may decide to play with his tier 1 gun, but it's not very likely going to happen on a large scale. And if a Marshal feels like playing with Wasp/Smoky he will be the new artificial mult. In reality he's not, but I'll bet you he will be perceived as such. So, one might say tier 1 guns and tanks have also become obsolete for high ranked players. And whatever happened to rating?! Is rank now the standard for how good somebody is? One might be playing with Thunder from WO1 up, while others start to explore the possibilities of M0 Thunder at Marshal rank. So in fact, you never know when or if somebody is good or bad. As long as people have fun and are fighting for what they are worth, I have fun too. Shouldn't fun be the standard of this game? I find the reasoning as to why these restrictions are forced upon us very poor! Why?! Firstly, because it was always, yes always possible to create battles with such a rank limit. Tanki staff should really ask themselves the question 'why nobody did?' Secondly, as far as the drugging Marshals are concerned... I thought we had no-supply battles that matter. Plus, one could always drug back! And it's not like it was a surprise, because by looking at the rank limit before entering a battle one could always know what to expect. Thirdly, mults are found among every rank. It's just how higher the rank is, the more creative they get and the more difficult it is to spot them (in most cases). And last but not least, does Tanki perhaps insinuate that the problems caused by cheaters are never to be solved?! I thought this was only a temporary issue, in that case there was no need to specify it as a reason. You are a lucky, I logged in only to discover I had 'Zero' :?. Next server gave me only 3 options :cry:.

As I have explained, that part is just an expression. We use it around where I live. To be more precise "to stick a feather up someone's ..." means to compliment/ praise somebody. Nothing more, nothing less. It is a positive phrase, perhaps it got lost a bit in translation though. Your allegations however e.g. "GTH" and "*****" are a different story. I won't go into that any further, but try to consider your actions next time. Sorry, I can't find the part where it says good... I don't know, you tell me what my rating should be at this moment. Being superior is in my eye's not related to rank, but skills, experience and tactics are. Where as you might have a higher D/L than my, when I win and take the crystals my rating probably raises while yours drops. That's how this game is balanced (SQRT(experience_points*(kills/deaths))+(earned_crystals)/200)! Don't we all play for fun? I do! Fun indirectly enhances my skills and tactics. I go out there and try, because the more versatile a player uses his gun the more he owns and adapts to certain situations. It happens to be that I like attacking and capturing the flags the most. It works, in fact it's epic, that's why I felt the urge to reply to your topic since you advice against it in your guide. So I read you have tried attacking with Railgun and it failed. Well, don't expect it to go right the first time. Rome wasn't build in one day, was it? By stating it like that, you make it sound like you are a one man army. You're not! Use your team, and I don't want to sound repetitive, but...... just move forward, use cover, dance around, dodge bullets, help team mates, make way, block, kill, get flag, kill some more, get killed, start over... (of course most in a strategically well considered manner 8) ) And in case of the Freeze and Isida guarding the flag. Use your advantage, which is distance. Know where you are coming from, or can escape to in case they advance on you and of course take them both out. This way It sounds like a though job, but it isn't as long as the rest of your team isn't hiding behind a wall near home base :lol:

That's playing like a noob. The best railguns risk everything, go all out and if they die, they die - they do more for the team and get more points and crystals that way though. So you're saying a suicide Railgun is superior to a sniper Railgun? I don't understand your logic. He's right! After reading your complete guide I'd like to comment on what you wrote... (I'll try to keep it short :)) Having used this combo for an extended period of time now and all I can say is that it's EPIC!! In terms of revenue even more epic than Isida. I'm a less than 10 K from being a General and still on top of most games with this combo. Will most definitely be playing with this combo till I reach being a Marshal. My motto is 'stick with one combo and learn all there is to it', you will be paid out in crystals :) To me this would be very boring. (of course also defend, but like I always say... the best defense is a good offense!) More then effective if you ask me. This sounds a bit like the pot calling the kettle black! Because you couldn't go for the flag, others should?! Perhaps the others were in the same position as you, just couldn't tell by looking at the picture.

All these alternatives that have been described got me thinking again as well, so here are some other suggestions for you all to discuss... Gold is only paid out at the end of each battle, if you grab it you receive it only when finishing it. Gold gets distributed over the whole team (like mentioned earlier), but now it will be divided at the end score wise. Even if your team loses, these 100 crystals will not go to the opposite team. Battles will stay more interesting, you'll have less deserters because even if you are on the losing team you have a motivation to stay till the end :P

Good to see so many reactions! I seem not the only one that cares about this problem :D Good point! Dough I still think people will enter battles for these 10s and 5s, although they will be spread more evenly. Also a very good point! I see nothing wrong with that.
