I will greatly miss those moments with my Wasp, where I'd lost my focus for a split second and ended upside down. Trying not to get flipped using Wasp at full potential was for me an extra dimension to the game. Wasp has lost this dynamic feature due to the new physics you so perfectly described, but affects also other hulls. Hulls have become so stabile, that you will only have to get the steering and aiming right. Tipping over has really become a challenge, even when jumping of ledges. It somehow feels like we've have lost that extra dimension for "total" control of your tank. Wasp will in the end much more easy to handle I think. Two other aspects I would like to address are maneuverability and turrent rotation. Changes in maneuverability perhaps made the hulls more stable, but it seems to be harder to maneuver in confined spaces. Corners do have to be taken wider, which I belief does not benefit gameplay in a good way. And by speeding up hulls, it seems the turrent swing speed has not been increased enough. As a both Wasp & Mammoth lover, I had no problems before this update concerning balance. I might be just that odd one of the bunch...

You are both absolutely right!! The same applies to many evolutionists...Note that I'm not an evolutionist, nor do I believe in any god. I do belief there is something more between heaven and earth, I'm just not religious (ietsism). I also like to be provocative, hence the statements that I made. I was going to follow up sooner, but time wasn't on my side ;) Of course evolution cannot be denied, just take a look around! Everyone is surrounded by proof. Natural selection within all populations of organisms leads to variation within species, this is caused by mutation, isolation, degeneration and recombination of genes. This fact has been proven over and over again, all scientist agree upon this!! You could call it micro-evolution... But there is a catch!! What people do not agree upon is, whether this causes to form new species over time! Up to date macro-evolution has not been proven. The theory still stands...

Problem with links from stand alone Flash Player....again!

It worked! Thanks a bunch :) -
Many creationists would not believe in evolution if prove was handed to them on a silver platter, understandable because it would destroy that what they so strongly belief. No more after-world perhaps... They often turn to pointing out the flaws in Darwin's evolution theory, inaccurate details, or other missing pieces of the puzzle. Sorry, but Darwin's theory is more than a hundred years old, many study's have followed since. Some study's might have some inaccurate details or missing pieces, but one must look at the bigger picture. All those study's combined lead to only one conclusion; evolution cannot be denied!! Something every scientist agrees upon.

Straight after update 169 exactly the same happened. I was provided with new links and everything was fine again. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177569&hl= Thanks for clearing that up for me :) -
Problem with links from stand alone Flash Player....again!

Since yesterday the links I used to use for playing in stand alone flash player don't work anymore! Any help would be appreciated... -
Great update! Though I think it doesn't go hand in hand very well with the kick vote option...

You need both, assuming that you are going to use Fire on a fast and Rico on a heavy hull. Clay for Fire in a medium map, Prodigy for Fire in medium/large map. Zeus for Rico!
-
You have got to be kidding! Rico is da BOMB!!! Even in NS battles...
-
Unless you're on nitro 24/7 Hunter isn't going to do the trick well.
-
It will feel very slow yet way more stable. Still, I'd prefer Wasp!
-
You simply can't compare, when you take the rank requirements to obtain turrents, hulls & paints in consideration...

Nope! I'm pretty sure I was asking questions, hence the question marks at the end of my sentences. All I did was emphasizing on the fact why these are such important questions. I could only be suggesting if I got a decent answer to my questions. For all we know these plans could've already been implemented. You seem to be confident this has already been suggested. I'm pretty up-to-date when it comes to reading the forum, but I have not seen any official reactions from Tanki about this fine tuning not being available, nor have I seen it being suggested. Feel free to point it out to me where you have seen this.... (note, that I'm not interested in downgrading from M3 to M2).

It does seem very hard to get an answer to one's question out here! It feels like the questions that do get answered, are either been asked a million times or already explained initially. Critical questions, which have not been covered seem to get no attention. I have asked different question before in the ' Micro-upgrades in progress' threat a couple of times, without any reply. This question still stands! I also asked for an explanation some pages back. I still wish to get an answer, so I will ask again...

So you are playing and think it's okay to kill the opponent, but if it happens the other way around they are idiots? Hahhahah, you funny!! There is no such things as "peacefully" on a battlefield... On a serious note. I despise players who enter team battle's solely for picking up crystals. It's a bloody disgrace that these players still exist. They often withdraw themselves completely from battle, or at least minimizing their game play. If it was up to me I'd completely remove crystals from battle's, adding them to the battle fund. This way crystals can only be obtained by players who truly deserve them!

Are we able to fine tune these parameters? For example: having to much weight for one's liking, are we then able to cancel the upgrade? There is no way we can fine tune our tank if we can only upgrade and not downgrade parameters! And by canceling upgrades, I do not mean getting crystals back. Different maps/ weapons bring different tactics. I can see myself favoring speed over stability in some maps, while stability over speed in others. Same goes for weapons. Can you imagine trading in your 1 gear bike (regular M3 hull) for an 18 gear bike (fully MU'ed M3 hull), only to discover going up hill you can't down shift a gear...
-
Not really! I mostly use firebird and don't hang around to wait for the kill. I go for the flag, which is yet another advantage wasp has over mammoth when it comes to getting points.
-
The scoring system is perfectly balanced if you ask me! Why? Because a Mammoth may have a higher D/L, that does not mean a Wasp can't compete. If using Wasp I tend to have a lower D/L, but more kills then when I would have used Mammoth. Think about it! After a kill you line up way faster for your next kill and after being killed back in action quicker.

Sorry for my uber late reply, I can be very lazy sometimes :) I'm not being naive, only objective. The problem can most certainly be applied both ways, if the set rank limit allows it then the highest and the lowest rank may join. I do see what you mean by your comment though, still there are many high ranked battles out there in which lieutenants and majors can't join. Like there are also low ranked battles where generalissimos can't join. Sure I have taken over battles, therefore I plea guilty ;) However, that's not why I still play this game. How rare it may be.... I find battles (whether it be a drug war, NSB, a battle with mixed ranks or high ranks only) most joyful, when there is a perfect balance in strength. As for asking low ranked players to leave, I stick with what I wrote in my second post.

Load, Lock & Load!
-
That could perfectly be the case, however it does not answer my question... Imagine a battle ranging from the lieutenants ranks to generalissimo. If that particular battle is full of lieutenants and majors, would it be fair for a generalissimo to join? Yes it depends, but it mostly boils down to the fact that balance is key for any good battle. The reason many teams of lieutenants don't ask a generalissimo to leave is a selfish act, where winning often surpasses good game play. That is, if the generalissimo causes a major shift in balance! As for generalissimos asking a lieutenant to leave... if a battle is already full of generalissimos why bother entering, you know you won't do the team any good. Asking them to leave is more than reasonable! However, in many cases when a generalissimo enters a battle to help out the lower ranked players major shifts in balance occur. Left and right people leave and more generalissimos join, up the point where the initial team members they were trying to help become a burden. Will it still be reasonable to ask them to leave, no! And sometimes it it just a grey area :)

Interesting discussion! If I'm really honest and objective on this matter I can only conclude this problem can be applied both ways. Imagine a battle ranging from the luitenants ranks to generalissimo. If that particular battle is full of luitenants and majors, would it be fair for a generalissimo to join? I can't seem to figure out why this fact isn't brought up...
