    Applesauce moderators....

It is not in the moderators' POWER to fix things like blocked and reset accounts. They cannot do anything about it. Only tech support can solve those problems, and they receive hundreds of messages every day.

    Applesauce moderators....

Forum moderators are not tech support. What else are they supposed to say?
  3. Maybe a little earlier than that.
  4. The time at which the contest topic will be closed has already been listed in the contest rules.

  9. ANYBODY can gain access to those things by downloading TanksTestingTool and TankViewer. Please do not ask such questions, if you have not thoroughly researched the topic you are inquiring upon.
  10. ^ NO, it does not mean that he will win in the case of a tie! Judges will NOT be announced, so stop asking for their identities.
  11. Chris is not a judge, and does not even know who the judges are. The judges will remain unknown.
  12. To WhiteKnight, FBI, and Selena: If chriswu DOES earn himself a prize, how will that be unfair? Everyone who has and will enter this contest will be judged fairly (unless they cause unnecessary problems). If chris wins, it means that his work is better than those who didn't. Being a member of our staff will not incline us to "make him win." This contest was made with the intention to gauge the skill levels of the various Photoshop users in our community. We do not want the 'best of the worst' to be on our team. Any further public discussion of anything pertaining to this topic will give the judges a bad opinion of you.
  13. This rule also applies to those who create multiple accounts, wanting their rewards to go to the maker's original account. Though a different account may enter the competition, the contestant is the same person.
  14. This is an arguement? It looks like it's going in that direction.
  15. Um... of course you can. Jut earn the crystals necessary to. You cannot get Smoky XT, though.

[Issue 4] Battle Etiquette: Second Edition

It has come to my attention that I have neglected to acknowledge some of the finer points of etiquette in this amazing, multiplayer, browser-based, 3D war game. I have sequel-ized my earlier article to cover these points that I seem to have missed. Abide and enjoy! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When in a battle of “Capture the Flag,” remember the primary objective of the game: bringing enemy flags back to your own base’s flag. That is the mode, and objective of the game. It should overrule all other ambitions in a game, including: 1. Maintaining one’s position in a specific part of the map, ESPECIALLY if it blocks the flag carrier’s route to your own flag in any way. Regardless of any reason(s) one might have, like maintaining a kill-death ratio, or hiding from a powerful enemy, blocking the flag carrier is a potential cause for banning. (See Rules, points 1.6 and 1.10.) 2. Collecting crystals in the form of boxes on the ground. If you see a flag carrier from your team being chased by the enemy, forget about that single crystal that is a couple meters ahead of you! Take out the enemy, and pick up their flag, if you must! If your team wins, you will get more crystals in a shorter amount of time than if you were running around the map picking up boxes. Yes, this also applies to gold boxes, and camping (waiting) for them to fall. 3. Helping a friend on the opposing team. Even if your best friend wants you to join his enemy’s team, to be a useless “mult,” taking up a space on the team, while not contributing to it, you must either help capture flags for your own team, or leave the game! Running in front of the flag carrier to block his route will get you banned! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ “You have the enemy flag, halfway across the battlefield. Halfway to home. A pursuing enemy fires his weapon, decimating your health to nearly 0. From your right side, a teammate of yours with full health comes in front of you. He wants you to give your flag to him! You think about the circumstances: Your own health is low, and you will probably die in the ensuing moments of the battle, also allowing the enemy to have more time to fire at your teammate. You decide to drop the flag, and take a few shots at the enemy, directing their shots away from the new flag bearer, your teammate. You are destroyed by an incoming shell, just as your friend captures the enemy flag, winning the game for your team!” Though the story may not always be a duplicate of your own situation in battle, it gives a general outline to what one should be thinking in battle. The tank with the most health should be carrying the flag, unless an unnecessary risk must be taken for the current flag carrier to rendezvous with his stronger teammate. Forget about the points given to the flag capturer; you will get a portion of them. Your primary objective is to help the team capture enemy flags, in any way you can. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ (This is more of a helpful tip for those who want to do well in battle, rather than a rule.) If you are aware of the position of a sniper on your team, please, listen to the common sense that you hopefully have, and do not get in his way unless it is absolutely necessary. Block the sniper, and you are, in essence, removing a player from the battle. A sniper shoots tanks form afar. And when you block his ability to do so, you are removing his ability to contribute to the team, much to the detriment of your efforts in battle. If you happen to catch a glimpse of an enemy sniper on the other side of the battlefield, you should be assessing yourself on what you can do to help your team win. If the enemy is an especially active one, killing a tank every five to ten seconds or so, you should make it your objective to remove him from his special little hiding spot , if not to destroy him altogether. (Only do this if you have the proper weapons, such as railgun, thunder, shaft, etc.) If you see that one of your teammates is rushing back to your base with the opposing team’s flag, but is about to enter the firing range of the sniper, you should immediately try to attract attention to yourself, and away from the flag carrier. If you cannot destroy the distant assassin, at least force him to waste a shot on you, so your friend can escape during the enemy’s reload time. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Unless they hold a flag or block an urgently needed path, take no note of flipped tanks; they are useless to both teams. They cannot attack or defend. Isidas seem to have the most difficult time abiding to this guideline, rushing to every immobilized tank to replenish its health, thus earning points for themselves. Though you may be getting points for yourself, keep in mind that you are not healing teammates that can actually contribute to the war effort, thus increasing the odds of your team’ losing the battle. The losing team always gets less crystals, regardless of how many points they may have accumulated. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Many thanks to Lhamster, for the inspiration that he so kindly gave to me.

    Leaving Tanki

Good luck in life, Britboy! I'll miss you.
  21. You do not need to be an administrator to have any of those paints. If a person owns microchip, alligator, or reporter, then they work for the game in some way, but are probably not administrators.
