Hey guys, dunno if anyone remembers me but I'm a shaft player for a while now and came back to tanki after a LONG break. It seems to be that the short  band emitter augment (yeah, I guess that's what they call alterations now xD) is the best one. Is it me or did the price of alterations increase drastically omg

awesome weapon if used properly 

1) hiding shaft laser so that opponent cant see you and then go boom 

2) defending flag/point/

3) In small rank you wont be needing double dmg  box but if u go higher and higher  100% required 

4) Mammoth is  awesome camp plus tanky enough to take dmg if using double defense / defender drone 

5) overdrive when low hp or someone who is close range  but make sure you use speed boost because they will run away from u if they have ?

easily 1 shot wasp hunter viking hopper  hornet sometimes it may not happen depend on their upgrades , modules , defense box 

6) hiding in  place where u are hard to find or making them a difficult angle to aim you 

7) even dictator good for low rank because you dont  have enough  supply early game

Well the Sniping was nerf Ed too. You see I sometimes to 860 damage to enemies in low ranks!!!

You mentioned low ranks. I'm assuming, they don't have high Defender Drones, or Eagle Modules.

There is something clearly wrong if your Shaft only deals 860 damage...

Well I assume everybody has seen and experienced the new shaft mechanics and changes (nerf) after the recent patches notes. Shaft is changed a lot. So I want to ask which is a good shaft alteration to use now ?

Shaft is nearly useless now. It became a weapon, after the last update. It is taking way to long to charge, I feel sorry I struggle to upgrade this weapon to maximum.

To bad I can not sell the weapon, it is useless now.

To bad I can not sell the weapon, it is useless now.

I like to play it using the mammoth hull. The OD charges super quickly and if anyone tries to disturb by peace ill just sit on them.

A better way would be decrease the reload time based on Mk#.

Mk0: 10 seconds. Mk8: 8 seconds.

I would make MK0's reload be 7 or 8 seconds and MK8 reload 5 seconds.

Been a little while, but yeah, I can't help myself....

Formalities first, pony tail is a complete and total <insert what you want here>...ker and hates any strategic game play that doesn't involve rushing and copious amounts of drug use (which of course raising the bottom line).  It's no secret he hates studious and patient campers and if he could, he'd ban them, all of them.  Tanki is a joke now.  Floating tanks, alien turrets, and fairy power augments, not to mention force multiplier drones that make no sense.

Obvious second.  Shaft is a sniper, it was meant to one shot, it should, period, end of discussion, it's not built for anything else.  It's there to take all the wind out of the enemies sails by being used carefully, at the right time, against the right tank, to change the course of the game play. pony tail wants you to run around now with your shaft 24/7, barely scoping a shot, and, AND, mind you, have you enter the fray with the rest of them in order to even hope of scoring points and etc, nevermind the fact you're really kind of useless in any other role than sniper.

10 second reload is unacceptable.  If, IF, only IF, you wer to enter a 7 minute game, not have to phase in, and could simply hold down space and fire the moment it was completely charged, you could only get 42 shots off.  15 minutes battle, 90.  We all know that's BS.  The reality is maybe 33% of that number between spawning, searching, zooming, tracking, firing, reloading, repeat, IF YOU'RE lucky.  30 shots in a 15 minutes battle where nearly EVERY hull has Sniper protection and damage gets nerfed and reload too?  How about a all might F U to Tanki?  This is done consciously, without any real thought given to how it plays out for shafts.  This appeasement to the little prick Hopper buyers who, as of late, were being blown out of the sky with their double speed and hop by the only turrets that could mitigate such an attack, and only sometimes.

 

I've warned you all, Tanki is trying to find a final nerf for Shafts.  Pony tail boy would love to see them gone, the only thing relatively close to its damage being, dump dump, duuuuhhhhh, DOUBLE DAMAGE, but, I digress.  Shaft was fine, just as it was, and just barely too.  Every time shaft players settle into a comfortable routine of use, function, and resignation, mind you, our great turret gets maligned.  It makes it that player choose to move away from it.  Why?  Statistics, always stats.  Lots of people put money into them.  If you want to nerf it, you have to justify it.  Prove no one plays with it and the few that do show poor stats and it doesn't contribute to the game anymore.  He is trying to kill off your turret people, flat out.

 

To be fair, we should all see it now, shafts will be relegated to nothing or useless, not like it hasn't been constantly nerfed for the last 3 years.

 

I hope and wish nothing but bad things upon all responsible for this, and really, I can't believe the pettiness that goes on and on over this turret to this day.

 

I you don't agree, you haven't played long enough.  Change is to be expected, but to be defrauded of your time, effort, and money, well that's another matter entirely.
