Patch Update #784 - Released 29th November 2024

 

List of changes:

  • Added the following skins to Legendary Containers: Mammoth GT, Twins GT, Wasp GT, and Firebird GT.

  • Firebird

    • Range increased from 12 - 20 to 15 - 25 m.

    • Target outlining distance increased from 17 - 25 to 20 - 30 m.

  • Freeze

    • Range increased from 12 - 20 to 15 - 25 m.

    • Target outlining distance increased from 17 - 25 to 20 - 30 m. 

  • Isida

    • Energy consumption when idle shooting decreased from 40 to 30 units/sec.

    • Range increased from 15 - 20 to 15 - 25 m.

    • Target outlining distance increased from 20 - 25 to 20 - 30 m.

    • «Broadband Radiators» augment: 

      • Range decrease changed from -25% to -33%

    • «Sustainable Nanobots» augment:

      • Range increase changed from +100% to +60%

  • Tesla

    • Chain Lightning Reload increased from 1.1 to 1.2 sec.

    • Chain Lightning Range increased from 15 - 20 to 15 - 25 m.

    • Target outlining distance increased from 20 - 25 to 20 - 30 m.

  • Twins

    • Initial projectile speed increased from 35 - 65 to 60 - 90 m/sec.

    • Final projectile speed decreased from 25 - 55 to 10 - 10 m/sec.

    • Time to reach final projectile speed increased from 1 to 1.8 sec.

    • Range of maximum damage decreased from 30 - 60 to 30 - 50 m.

    • Range of minimum damage decreased from 60 - 90 to 50 - 70 m.

    • Range decreased from 70 - 100 to 60 - 90 m.

    • «Stabilized Plasma» augment:

      • Projectile speed increase is removed. 

    • «Plasma Accelerators» augment:

      • Projectile speed increase is removed. 

    • «Plasmatron» augment:

      • Projectile speed increase is removed. 

    • «Plasma Turbo Accelerators» augment:

      • Projectile speed increase is removed.

  • Ricochet

    • Range of maximum damage decreased from 30 - 60 to 30 - 50 m.

    • Range of minimum damage decreased from 60 - 90 to 50 - 70 m.

    • Range decreased from 70 - 100 to 60 - 90 m.

    • Critical damage chance increased from 7% to 8%.

  • Smoky

    • Projectile speed increased from 300 - 500 to 400 - 700 m/sec.

  • Striker

    • «Missile Launcher “Uranium”»  augment:

      • Reload time after salvo increase changed from +50% to +100%.

    • «Vacuum Missiles» augment:

      • Average and minimal splash damage changed from 250% to 230%. 

  • Thunder

    • Initial projectile speed increased from 260 - 360 to 300 - 500 m/sec.

    • Final projectile speed decreased from 240 - 340 to 150 - 300 m/sec.

    • Time to reach final projectile speed decreased from 1 to 0.5 sec.

  • Scorpion

    • Projectile speed changed from 800 - 1000 to 500 - 1000 m/sec.

    • «Missile Launcher “Spear”» augment:

      • Minimum rocket speed increase changed from +300% to +50%

      • Maximum rocket speed increase changed from +100% to +10%

      • Initial angular rocket velocity is now 10 instead of 270

      • Final angular rocket velocity  is now 300 instead of 270

    • «Missile launcher “Swarm”» augment:

      • Minimum rocket speed decrease changed from -66% to -33%

  • Magnum

    • «Bombard» augment:

      • Added an increase in projectile gravity by +50%

      • Maximum projectile speed decreased from -50% to -40%

      • Minimum projectile speed decreased from -50% to -40%.

  • Gauss

    • Initial projectile speed increased from 330-440 to 300-500 m/sec.

    • Final projectile speed decreased from 220-330 to 150-300 m/sec.

    • Time to reach final projectile speed decreased from 1 to 0.5 sec.

    • «Super Solenoids» augment:

      • Salvo damage increase changed from +41% to +50%.

    • «Solenoid Cooling» augment:

      • Salvo damage decrease changed from -30% to -20%.

    • «Hyperspeed Shells» augment:

      • Weak damage percentage changed from 300% to 270%

  • The Daily Mission “Finish battles by being in the winning team.” has been moved from Standard Daily Missions into Encore Daily Missions.

  • The Daily Mission “Earn Stars” now requires 16 stars to complete, instead of 15.

  • In the tutorial, aiming at the bot for the first time is now equivalent to dealing damage to it.

List of fixes:

  • The text on the Supermission button has been fixed.

  • Improvements to the Shop UI.

it took almost maybe 1 year to change something in this augment.

@Marcus Assault Magazine for Hammer was like a bad melee turret in the past, now after the melee buff, it's a complete joke, especially compared to Heavy Slugger and Hunter Duplet. It's an EXOTIC augment.

Stock Hammer received a reload buff in the past, other augments received buffs, all of it indirectly nerfed Assault Magazine, it itself received slight reload nerfs, but also pellet count nerfs, it's comparable to a PURPLE augment, there is NO REASON to pick it over any melee turret.

It's a joke.

 

Assault Magazine has been dead in the gutter for months, goddamn, do something.

rico nerf is strange, it felt fine the way it was. correct me if im wrong

Striker vacuum nerf is one of the most anticipated nerfs in the entirety of this game.

Seems like a complementary change alongside Twins. Turrets of specific range categories have had equal range paramaters since at least 2018. It's only recently they broke away from that with Hammer getting more direct power than Twins and Ricochet so its maximum reach was decreased, and Gauss going from long range characteristics (120m max, 180m min) to medium range characteristics (90m max, 120m min). It's natural that turrets of the same category follow one another with range parameters, just like Isida and Tesla did with Firebird and Freeze after their changes.

I am glad for that tbf, finally if someone wants to kill you he either has to use crisis/booster  to 1 or 2 shots you with medium hull, depending if you use double armor or not. Thats good enough, if they wanna hide behind defender they have to shot  more shots.  maybe it could be fun to change initial and final speed so its really behind skill gap,

Sometimes they keep augments at a certain number after a change to the base turret. With Broadband it got a net positive from 15m to 16.5m while Sustainable stays at exactly 40m. If you hadn't seen the patch notes, you'd think nothing changed at all while you were using it.

Sustainable before patch:

20m. (Initial Range) * 100% range increase = 20m. (Original range increase value) -----> 20m. + 20m. = 40m. (Final range value)

Sustanable after patch:

25m.(New initial Range) * 60% range increase = 15m. (This is the new range increase value) -----> 25m. + 15m. =40m. (Final range value)

 

They increased the original range for Isida, thus decreased the added range bonus Sustainable Nanobots receives to compensate for this buff. Doing the math still results in the same final range for Sustainable Nanobots i.e. no net change for this augment (other than energy consumption rate decrease)

If you're talking about the augments, the RU patch note specifies that it's the final projectile speed. So the initial projectile speed is still fast (even faster now) and will reach farther before slowing to a halt.

I would of taken this projectile speed buff over the damage buff smoky received a few weeks ago. But now that smoky has both, it will be a beast. pulsar users are gonna have a field day with this

Smoky was fine without both, this is just over buffing it.

First of all, why it took literally over a year to nerf it?

Second of all, is that all? Only a 20% damage decrease? It should be changed to 200%

I read this forum and wow... % - degrees - m/sec - "idle shooting' - "projectile speed" - "angular rocket velocity" ... this got to be Spacex preparing the mission to Mars. It is so out of my league!

Then I play and... the dumbest player base a game has ever seen and a ton of software bugs.

I guess forum guys never play and players never come to the forum. That would explain why theory and reality in Tanki Online are so different.

The encore daily missions is bugged. The winning team finish never appeared, and now we can't accept the supermission.
