We have Ares shooting electric peas and Hopper jumping around like a rabbit on coke, and some rainbow paints ruin the realism for you. Ok. Working on a couple on cheap paints each challenge is probabily pretty cheap and it gives the devs some "content" to fill the slots, now that there are no more 2010 skins to put at the end of a challenge. The fact that we have like 3000 useless paints clogging up the garage bothers me as well, but I'm pretty sure the Devs don't care one bit about it.
-
Well, game balance stopped being a thing years ago. ODs and Drones are a much bigger problem then a light hull that jumps around.
-
I have to say that Hopper is really super fun to play with, the way it can drive sideways and the jump mechanic allow for incredible plays.
-
Yeah I was too lazy to try it out since I don't play much on my main account (this one) I thought it was an useless augment, but actually you are right, it's not bad at all. It helps a ton vs twins-ricochet up close and it mitigates the effect of railgun-gauss etc. The tanks feels a bit more sluggish then stock, but I guess I will put my 12k+ speed boosts to a good use. So I guess it's the lightweight one that is completely useless outside of parkour, right?
-
I just got Heavyweight Construction for Viking, do you guys think it would be somewhat useful in battle or it's completely useless? Also, are the acceleration and speed decrease that noticeable?
-
Exactly, I appreciate the gift but I'm not gonna use it. Even if I was a buyer with tons of supplies I would still prefer other drones which are way more impactful on a battle.
-
What alteration would you recommend for Shaft after the latest balance update? I'm torn between light capacitors and rapid fire mode.
-
I knew this change was gonna come, this drone seemed way too good, especially compared to the booster drone.

Every single low-mid rank battle

A step in the right direction. Even though the prices have increased, at least you listened.

I have used this method for years, 80% of the time I can make them hit the mine before I die. And even if I get killed, the teammates (if they aren't complete monkeys) can catch up and kill the enemy off.
-
Well, I do have a use for the mines that I have never seen being adopted by anyone else, even if I find it really efficient. Basically, when an enemy is running with the flag/ball, I put myself sideways in front of them (to block them off from running) and while I shoot at them, I place a mine. Often they keep on going forwards, so they step on the mine and get killed.

I still remember back in 2012, the dreaded "Rebalance", players were absolutely upset about it and everyone was against it. Read it guys, it's like history is repeating itself: Later down the line, I also remember an answer from Hazel-Rah saying that that update was a mistake and that it did irreparable damage to the game. Now, after all this time, either they did not learn anything from that big mistake, or this is an intentional move, because they know the game is doomed to fail in the near future... so it's time to cash in what is left and then pull the plug.

You can do fine with Mk7 as well, without upgrading all the way to Mk8. You can do fine without drones, as well. So what? We should just shut up and take it because the devs give us a grand total of THREE containers per week? Containers filled to the brim with filler stuff and useless paints. Le'ts see how fine will the players do when facing a Railgun that does 40% more damage then their stock one. More importantly, I am eager to know how fine the game will do in the next future. Now that will be fun to see.
-
Thinking about it, the Devs did something even worse then putting all of the alterations in containers. They buffed a lot of them to the point of being just direct upgrades. They don't even have a drawback anymore! Like LCR now does more damage without having an increased reload. Also, why are some alts untouched and others buffed up to the extreme? I imagine that the low-rank ones that cost less will be just rare, and the super good ones (like LCR) will be legendary. Yes, I predict that alterations will have a rarity system. Also, I guess those will be put in the battle pass for $$. Honestly, I did not think the Devs could step so low, this is an extremely alarming update, so far nothing was offered for sale that was just a direct upgrade to your equipment. Sure, there were supplies but those were awarded with missions, and shop kits that gave an unfair advantage, but with ranking up it was possible to compete. Now, important game-changing equipment is involved... so from now on, I predict that things will only get worse and worse. IMHO, this is only the beginning on an extreme p2w row of upgrades.

In 10+ years you have never listened to your playerbase. And it shows. we went from 170k+ daily players to 18k at best. Your decisions clearly have shown their results with time. And those results haven't been pretty.
-
Augment for Shaft «Heavy capacitors»: Horizontal aiming speed decrease removed. Augment for Shaft «Light capacitors»: Horizontal aiming speed increase is now 100% instead of 30%. Ooh, boy...
-
Yeah, and they are buffing most of those, as well.

K/D doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme. If you think otherwise you are mistaken. If you ONLY play DM/TDM then yes, having a high K/D does mean winning games, But on all the other game modes, K/D is useless. A player can be an isida who prioritizes healing, a wasp/hornet who goes for the flag/ball, etc.. I have lost count of the amount of games I lost in the past thanks to players who were camping and not going for the objective, while me and others were struggling to even approach the base for the flag. My second account has a K/D of 5.45 because I am only playing there to relax, so I sit back and snipe... and do I win more games that way? Does that K/D make me a better player? Certainly not.

Hey! Don't forget that it can pay the bills, too.

I don't know man, the V-LOG says this: The NEW containers will be able to drop any of the alterations, both for turrets and for hulls. Remember, after the update, you won't be able to buy any of the alterations, neither for tankoins, nor for crystals. So if you have any missing ones from your collection, now's your chance to snatch them up before they disappear from the store. To me it sounds like they are going remove Turret alts too, or the sentence above would not make any sense. Snatch up what? there are no hull alts to buy before they disappear.
-
I won't go over a long explanation on how locking gameplay-changing equipment behind a paywall is absurd. Just know that this change is not made for game balance. The only reason behind all this is to make players spend more cash in containers trying to find what they need inside an infinite pool of paints and filler stuff. Also, I hope you understood that ALL turret AND hull alterations will be moved in containers. Go read the latest V-Log topic, there is not a single positive comment about all this. On a closing note: every organization needs to make money, but they are smart about it, keeping the community somewhat ok with it. Here, on the other hand, it's the exact opposite... we are getting closer and closer to a pathetic cash grab.

You guys make it too easy for the Devs to get away with stuff like this.
