You mean DM tournaments? That was a feature that didn't do what was meant to do, so it was removed. See a more detailed answer here. For single questions please post in the Q&A topic, instead of creating a new one. Closed.

Valid Battle option for restricting certain equipment

Yeah that's a rather annoying feature of Tanki X. Pretty sure Tanki Online will always have at least the game mode selection. Not to mention that custom (PRO) battles will still be a thing after MM is released.

I'm pretty sure that the goal is to gradually implement the matchmaking bits and pieces one by one, rather than doing everything at once. We got the Battle! button, then server unification, now the new lobby, and then finally matchmaking itself. Doing it like that has numerous advantages. Players can gradually get used to it rather than having to face a massive change all at once, and devs can troubleshoot and fix any bugs one by one, rather than implementing the whole update at once and having it create so many issues that it would have to be rolled back for reworking.

Well, Hazel did say that he has something planned to make communication better. They don't plan on separating battle by language (like how it sort of worked with RU and EN servers), that's for sure. But the issue with players not understanding each other in battles is definitely present. So I did hear about plans to add a "quick chat" option, where you would have hotkeys for certain pre-made messages (e.g. "Please defend!"), and those messages would be pre-translated and saved on the server, so when you select the message, for you and other players with the English interface it appears in English, but for players with RU, DE and PL interfaces the message appears in their own language. And if that will get implemented, then I see no reason not to also add smiley faces and other emoticons, like what this topic suggests.

There's two other ways for a game to make money. In-game advertising. This makes the game look unprofessional and messy. Paid accounts. Just like all those big games you buy on Steam, i.e. to play it you'd have to buy it first. Tanki decided to do with the free-to-play and in-game purchase option, which maximises the potential player-base while at teh same time being quite effective at providing revenue.
-
So what? Like I said, this game is free to play, so it needs to do whatever it can in order to encourage players to spend real money on it. Nickname changes, gold supplies, paints, etc. - all this stuff doesn't affect YOU, so why do you care about this? Just ignore the "Shop" button and any notifications related to it and let others spend their money to support the project.
-
Topic merged And how do you propose the game should make money to support itself? Force every player to buy their account for $50?
-
That can be fixed. Hammer also had issues at first when it didn't have protective paints for a few months. But new turrets introduce new gameplay mechanics to the game, and that's almost always a good thing.

You dropped them yourself, so if anything, you're applying for "most gold boxes picked up at once", which is currently 40

I doubt that. But I guess that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it.

Cedric did this before it was cool

Topic merged I don't think this is necessary. You can just PM them from any chat and ask them what chat they're in. If they are actually in chat and reading messages, they will see yours and respond to it.

I guess I phrased it wrong then. I meant that every update has some kind of benefit and devs never purposefully release an update that only makes things worse.
-
If an update makes money, then how is it bad? Like I said - not every update is made to benefit the players.
-
Yes. Its benefits heavily outweigh the drawbacks. If you think otherwise, then just ignore that point in my list. There's still 28 other good updates I mentioned.
