You are correct. Assault Ammunition completely removes critical damage, but it makes the impact of your turret much stronger, so it will make it easier to knock off aim, flip and disorient enemies. It's not worth buying in my opinion, since it's designed to be used by professional Smoky users. But feel free to try it if you consider yourself to be professional :) And no, you do not lose alterations when you upgrade. When you purchase an alteration you'll be able to turn it on and off at any time, regardless of your rank and Smoky modification. I actually don't know why it was accepted. Not only is the timing wrong, but we can't accept that record without a visible battle timer, since video can be sped up a little bit to get an advantage.

That's not true. The single missiles auto-aim vertically if you fire directly at the tank and the angle is not above the turret's aiming capability. The only problem is that moving tanks will most likely dodge the slow missiles, so you can choose to either use vertical auto-aim and have a high chance of missing or aim manually by tilting your hull and fire the rocket ahead of the target to get a direct hit.

That's arguable. But dictator just seems kinda ugly to me. Mammoth has a more pleasant shape. Besides, I bought dictator M3 for golds (never worked out), so that was one less M0 hull I could keep.

It kinda became a running joke. Mammoth Isida is one of the most ridiculous combinations (for the record - I never said this!), so a Legend rank helper playing with an M0 combo like that looks quite... unique :) Besides, M0 Mammoth has the largest surface area covered by paint, so all paints look best on this hull. I will definitely buy Isida XT though if it ever gets added.

Topic merged Won't happen. Developers said that they won't do another major rebalance with refund of turrets and hulls. The 2012 refund was necessary because parameters of all turrets and hulls were changed drastically, while nowadays any changes are relatively minor and do not completely rework the equipment. Besides, you're talking about the use of supplies. What does that have to do with the rebalance anyway?

Developers do not plan to add alterations for Hulls anytime soon. And alterations are permanent if you buy them for crystals (e.g. 50k), but they are given to you for just 2 days if you rent them for real money. If you want to discuss and compare alterations, you can use the News topic while it's still open or the "What to buy? Which is better?" topic.
