    Best choices AFTER the rebalance ?

    Fisrt, there is always something you can do ... What you can do is to go to the test server and try it out yourself. Then you will discover, that after the "rebalance" the TO isn't the same game you used to have. General rule -- there isn't a best choise. Even, if all M3 choises are available for you. The numbers of course aren't final, but as a high rank player your life is relatively easy: first you have to choose best M2 and later best M3 which isn't an upgrade to M2 you chose. BTW, you have a long way to go before M3 becomes available for you :P I'd bet most would choose M2 Viking and M3 Dictator. Or Wasp M2 and the Hornet M3. Or Titan M2 and them Mamoth M3. Depending on playig style. Low rank players have to buy more brances if they dont want to fight with M1 against M2 druing long period, since different branch M1/M2's will be available on very different ranks. Should I cry if I see TO cheating on players -- probably not. Can I do anything about it -- probably not. Should I not speak about it -- CERTAINLY NOT.

    A question about hunter and dictator .

    If that poor kid followed the suggestions and bought Dictator M0, he has probably cursed you all already many time, since the original question was posted in October. Until M2 the Dicator is out of competition and even at M2 gets beaten by Hunter M3. Dictator M3, available from WO 1, is quite good and goes up to Major or even higher and you can spend your savings on weapon upgrades. Viking M3 is of course better starting from WO4, if you can afford it ... :P

    Could you please post your fps. I use firefox mostly. I have tried standalone with now difference. However, right now I tried standalone, and its more less tolerable up to 45fps (shadows off). Yet it used to be 60 after the hardware acceleration was enabled (dynamic shadows and soft particles on) until... They seem to change something constantly, I wish TO would reconsider map rotation routines, since even now that's not smoth. Driving forward-backward is smooth but rotating is jerky.

    I dont know how to call it, I just tried to be as specific as possible. Haven't any of you noticed the change that happened a month or two ago when framerate dropped from 60 fps to 30 fps (these are official numbers). As example when I get killed and repositioned the world (map and skybox) moves like few frames per second. The same is in the game when I move or turn -- entire map is rotated very jerky. Very unpleasent. And I have the same phenomena on 3 desktop and 1 laptop. Haven't any of you noticed the same? Are you saying that everything is smooth and nice?

    If something is not measured by instrument, it doesnt mean its speculative. Its called rather empiric or subjective. "Like 3-6 fps" is an estimate based on experience.

    I'm wondering too ... however not how I got it but how to get rid of it :P Let me describe how it looks -- imagine the you rotate the turret and so the entire map is rotated -- that map rotates very jerky, as I said like 3-6 fps. Thats just how it is. Bullets fly smootly as well as other smaller things , probably at official 30 fps. Tested on discreat 7600GS, ATI X1950, ATI X3450 and intergated X3100. It used to be perfect on X1950 and normal on X3100. Now on all hardwares map rotation is jerky -- and as I said under Linux it is even less jerky. The problem appeared when framerate goal changed from 60fps to 30fps ... I hope developers can use this clue to locate the right change. If somebody cares.

    Topic sounds promising, but you got nothing to say. I read your post 3 times and still didn't understand your point -- experiment must proove or deny some theory or theoretical expectations. What did you expect and how do you evaluate results. PS! The termin "daily gift" is not appropriate, since players are given gifts only ca 2 times a week or so. Other days advertising materials are spread instead. TO of course considers these ads as very generous gifts.

    I have had cases when because of connection problems game freezes for a couple of seconds and after that I have got kicked because of "suspected of unfair play" or something like that -- probably because after unfreeze I appear in a new location too far from my location before game freeze. That sucks too.

    Hi, I can see that TO keeps changing graphic quality settings to make the game enjoyable for more players without special knowledge of antialiasing, anisotrophic fitering etc. Good work, but you guys seem to miss one crycial flaw in the current rendering engine -- for some reason world rotation/movement works like at 5fps while all tank movements are smooth. And it is so no matter what graphic quality settings (soft particles, shadows) are. The official indicator shows 30fps but world rotates is at 3-6fps. Even in linux, without hardware 3D support, the game looks more smooth than in windows (XP and/or 7) with more powerful discrete 3D graphics. That wierd behaviour appeared a month or two ago, before that everything worked like charm (at 60fps) Can that be fixed, reverted etc?

    I'm second to this. Because ... if new weapon would be less powerfull it would be pointless and if a new weapon would be more powerfull then everybody will use only this. Weapon rebalancing itself is already quite questionable - why would anybody work hard to get 2'nd gen weapon if that will give no advantage while it costs 20 times more ... :huh:

    random DCC ?

    I got 6 DCC last week ... :unsure: Its just amazing how low can somebody fall. Does TO really think, that this will help creating loyal community ... probably they don't need one ... servers are overloaded anyway ... old players, who have reached M3 are not welcome in the game. I'll take shaft or isida and start visiting "NO SHAFT AND ISIDAS" games ... :angry: PS! of course I will not buy any crystals in these conditions.

    Hi, I dont understand what you are saying. Are you saying that I'm teenager or computer ignorant who cant try several settings? Or are you saying that you have 60 fps and everything runs smoothly? If yes I'd like to know what graphic card do you have and what are 3D settings for that card (antialiasing, anisotrophiv filtering etc).

    What happened

    Hi, After the introduction of dynamic shadows the game graphics were great -- everything was smooth at 60 fps. But a week or a bit more ago something changed -- now fps shows 30 at best and real image is jerky -- feels like 5 fps. At the same time CPU load is very low. Patch notes / updates mentiones an update 1.105.0, but described changes doesnt say anything about general graphic engine. What happed? Can that change be reverted?

    is there a glitch in the freeze gun???

    Hi, Its not a glitch in the freeze ... I had a similar problem with ricochet once ... I kept shooting but the enemies didn't die ... my teammates started to ask why I'm not shooting ... :-o I reconnected and everything worked fine.

    Hi, I'm mostly agree with you, check my post http://forum.tankionline.com/posts/list/30/152374.page Kill stealing is part of TO. By far not the only one of the kind. Yes, you most certainly have play against your own team. The game concepts of WOT are fine IMHO -- they are just tweaking the hidden parameters of the tanks very oddly.

    It would be nice to explain statements like this. Of course they have their own shortcomings, but there are 3 core differences TO misses: 1. Every damage you cause to enemies in battle counts -- so "stealing kills" is impossible and meaningless -- everybody will be rewarded exactly for hes contribution, no "first, second etc" places, no square root distribution of fund. 2. If you encounter buyers in a game or loose a battle because your team is weak, you will loose only your time and even if you loose you get reward for damage you caused anyway -- in TO, if you loose or get robbed (very high possibility BTW) you get virtually nothing but your experience still accumulates. And if your experience accumulates faster than you can collect crystals you will be in a big trouble. 3. The only way to collect (virtual) money is causing damage to enemies, it means fighting for and with your team. In TO in almost every game you can see "players" who ONLY collect drop and some poor guys are trying to fight overwhelming enemies. There is one thing I learned in TO -- how not to teamplay. At first, when I was new, I focused on fighting for the team as I used to and only later realized how wrong this approach was. The real game isn't CTF or TDM, the real came is CMC (Collect More Crystals).

    Hi, When TO makes some changes and creates a new thread to discuss that change it quickly get flooded with short emotions like "I like it" or "I don't like it" There's no point to post anything into this mass of ovations since nobody will click though tens of pages of posts like ":thumbup:" or "+1" to find some thoughts. Since creating separate discussion thread is not allowed I propose that TO will create two threads in each case: one for emotions and another for discussions. Unless its intentional to suppress discussions.
