Kungur is almost 100% a drugwar :evil: It could be a nice map with many different opportunities by it always drowns in drugs.

Hi, I'm not a code-writer but have dealt with systems for a long time by now. IMHO, it's not the code that needs to be fixed. As you said -- movement should be validated. It seems to me, that in order to reduce the load of servers every client (program running in players computer) keeps all its parameters and tells other clients where he is and what it does. That model is based on trust and obviously hasn't work as well as planned since the current hacks alter game parameters in cheater computer and all other players have to respect these (movements, positions, power levels etc). I support the idea, that the model needs a validation party to be added what keeps a track of all(?) players, their parameters and activities and therefore can detect anomalies. The problem could be the amount of information that arbiter has to process. I guess some compromises are necessary. Edit: I see optprime already said that this is essential ... :) 9 million players ... get real. Create a new account, advance to corporal and see what your rating (not rank) is. I agree, that this is commercial product/service and I have been too lazy or too tolerant to write a complaint to law enforcement :)

Hi, We all assume that the daily gifts are selected randomly. During last week I was offered Double Crystal four times -- every second day. That doesn't look random at all. I just want to let TO to know, that if they hope, that this will make or force me buy crystals, then they are very wrong. At the best it's just irritating.

Some players spend tons of drugs even for 50 crystals -- or maybe just to feel being "aces" or "kings of the game". :lol: If they buy these drugs ... for real money ... no wonder NoSupply battles are unwanted :) There is a recover time before you can activate drugs again BTW :)

In my opinion, That will ruin the quality of these games. Once you start playing them you just can't look back. The normal games become super easy. :mrgreen: Ruin the quality of these games :shock: What games? How?

Playing no supply games with 500 crystals a month feels like a cheap premium service :mrgreen: Maybe :P Still, 500 crystals isn't nothing. And since there are so few NoSupply battles it would be a waste of crystals. Probably everybody, who considers buying monthly ticket has the same doubt. Besides, this is like fee, and many people rather pay for something they can get once rather than paying fees ... On the other hand, if I'm not mistaken, there are so few NoSupply battles TO doesn't earn much on these. Why not to make these battles free, if the interest will be high, the fair fee can be set again. Have this already happened?

Hi, First lets see what drugging means: it doubles the protection, the power and the speed, meaning a drugger has a 4 times better tank than nondrugger. Plus double speed. Practically it means that when players start drugging, those who don't drug are kinda out of the game, and 9 vs 9 game becomes 1 vs 4 game or something like this. Noone enjoys playing 4 vs 1 normally, but somehow using drugs is considered fair ... The other aspect is, that in drug wars matters who's drugs last longer and its a good situation to use unlimited supply cheats which can't be detected. If you want a guaranteed fair fight in TO with balanced team till the end of the game, you have to pay. However, almost nobody does :) Selling supplies if profitable to TO and probably they are afraid, that if NoSupply battles would be free, nobody would need and by supplies again. In real life sport drugs are officially banned. Who would enjoy watching football (soccer in USA), where suddenly some player (in critical situation) becomes 4 times stronger with double speed? I would like to propose to set some limits to drugging -- like possibility to activate only one drug at a time -- but I'm afraid drugging has so deep historical roots, that nothing will be changed here.

If there is a will, there is a way. Any business can redirect it's resources according to the needs and priorities. Outsourcing is also an option. Meaning, the main question is about the need or will. Today's news: Meaning gaining crystals in the battle on corporal/sergeant level is impossible since cheaters have to rob these games before they gather enough experience.

Hi, could somebody explain how this algorithm determines by Crystal & XP gain who is the cheater. What number would be supicious and why?

I can't believe the TO is so dumb their algorithm will block crystal collectors -- the real cheaters can take the game fund only if they get the highest score (experience points) in the game/team. And that's what happens if you keep capturing the flags for example. So why would crystals without experience be something suspicious. I do crystal harvesting too, fortunately I also play at least some games in a day too :) However, that makes me wondering, is Tanki Online more concerned about players getting crystals (not buying) than players cheating in the games. That does make sense, since this a business projects that looks like a game. :twisted:

Hi, I keep seeing hints that developers are working with new graphics, designs, maps etc. .... something that could be called TankiOnline v1.1 At the same time due to the number of hackers the game isn't a game any more so Tanki Online can't keep its promise that players can gain crystals in the battle (http://tankionline.com/en/game/): What would you, as players, like to see first: new design or hacker-free game?

Hi, hackers aren't that stupid. Many of them already wait for couple of seconds before capturing the flag after stealing it :evil: Or only smart hackers survive measures like this :) I dont't understand this: if players (games at client side) send each other their movements and positions, why can't they send the same data to server, which also knows what parameters each tank has and which checks, that all movements are within allowed limits. And if it's not ... bye bye. Or apply these check only to the tank carrying a flag if its too hard to monitor 2000 tanks.

really? is this how it works. hmm, i would have thought something like this would be done on a daily basis, say at server restart. its all that would be needed. running an algorithm constantly on an already lagtastic system ?? :( doesnt make sense....daily removal is enough! That's how it seems to work and it's the most realistic approach at the moment. However, all what it does, is making mods job easier. It doesn't protect players from cheaters in any way. Meaning it is way too far from being enough, if the goal is to keep cheaters away. Anyone can still launch a mult-cheat and rob the honest players by taking the fund. He will loose this mult by next day but will create two instead. etc. Some checks must be active constantly and I don't believe there isn't hardware that can't take that load. Interesting how long players will stay in the game if robbers take the fund constantly .... :roll: If players leave, that would be perfect for mods/admins -- no players, no trouble :lol: What makes you say that?

I'm wondering, what cheating in not shameless or direct :lol: If a tank is on the roof where it can't get according to the rules of the game, then it is direct and shameless for me :D PS! eh? what you on about? I think he got an impression if you have said that regular players can't be trusted and only admins/moderators are smart and honest ... :) Anyway ... if the news to be believed the new clever cheater detection system is out and working. Could somebody, who has more information on that, tell us, will that first collect the data and analyze it later or will it block cheaters immediately when the anomaly in the game is detected? If it will cheaters to void later it will be not enough since one can still launch a cheater-mult to win the game. As I've said before, anybody can afford to loose a mult.

If I understood that correctly, you will be blocking or eliminating users who have been cheating. Does that mean, that cheaters will still be able to cheat in the game, just on next day their accounts will be deleted. So, if one wants to win a game with a big fund he/she will launch a mult who will help to win the game and on next day the mult will be deleted. Would it be possible to block the cheater immediately?

Hi, MonkeyMagic. So, you are saying, that in 99% of cases people cheat. However, there isn't a chaos around us if you step out of the door. Why don't you go and smash and destroy your neighborhood? One way to ensure order in a country is to have a strong Army and Policy. However, in most countries it is found to be inefficient to use only police and army. So there are many kinds of other organizations incl. neighborhood watch, home guard, volunteer rescue teams etc. Also, in non-totalitarian countries citizens are allowed to have guns if they pass some test and are mentally stable. Citizens having guns are not a lesser kind of police. Don't underestimate the amount and will of honest players who do need a confidence, that the games aren't robbed every day. In the current hopeless situation many of those have left the game ... this a loss to the game, but unfortunately not to the TankiOnline as a business projects. In order to stop the current wave of cheating there must be a permanent moderator in every game who could respond in seconds -- I find this unreal. You could be more specific and describe in details what in worst case would happen if you give players to kick cheaters. PS! If you need a definition, then I beleive we could say that Mult is a player in the game who doesn't play for his own and/or hes/her team benefit.

Hi MonkeyMagic, I hope You understood all aspects of my proposal, I'm not a native english speaker so there could be some language failures. Please pay attention to a little difference: "anybody can afford to loose a mult, but nobody wants to loose his main account". People will not abuse it if there will be consuquences. :D Nobody is stupid enough to cheat with its main account -- anybody could but nobody does. People abuse the game right now massively cause its safe to launch a cheating mult and let it to win the game. This is quite easy to implement -- most of similar functionality already exists in the game -- just minor modifications needed. The only thing that needs to think over is whom to give the right to kick players -- we obviously do not want to give this power to mults :) One factor could be the history of the player, but I cant propose a pattern at the moment. The main point is: IF TANKI ONLINE CANT PROTECT PLAYERS FROM CHEATERS THE PLAYERS SHOULD BE GIVEN POWER TO DEFEND THEMSELVES. Very old and prooven way in human history -- it just needs a courage from the rulers (admins).

I've noticed, that it has a huge memory leak -- when you change a battle flash player takes a another big chunk of memory, so after being in 3-4 battles you better log off and log on again otherwise the game becomes terribly jerky.

Thats the case when cheater comes for its personal benefit and both teams agree to join against cheater. But in many cases the loosing team brings in a cheater (mult) intentionally and takes as much advantage of its presense as possible. The cheater captures as much flags as necessary and leaves ... Then what? :evil: I referenced earlier to the game where cheater joined and started to steal flags, our team managed to get their flag and keep it (not capture), but their entire team did everything they could to return the flag so the cheater could do its job again ... :evil: Plus one of their top players made a statement, that "Cheater are far not that bad as players using supplies". ... Alliance you say ... Would it take few seconds to kick any mult-cheater would neutralize mult's very easy. I dont care how many mults exist as long we can keep them out of games.
