Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Do you even Fly-hack, Mr. Field Marshall?

What to buy? Which is better?

Crystals: 100,000 Should I go for (A) M3 Viking, Micro-upgrades, or © save my crystals for a sale + Kit? A) I was thinking that it's about time I get an M3 Hull. The two M3 Hulls available to me would be Hornet, and Viking. Obviously I am not getting Hornet. So Viking. . .Yes, or no? How does M2 Viking perform at my rank (and a bit up)? B] Or shall I go with Micro-upgrades. Isida, or Thunder, seem like they are very annoying/powerful weapons when micro-upgraded. That should be my Isida's current Micro-upgrades. Should I go with Micro-upgrading Isida? I was thinking about going with 5 Micro-upgrades on Healing, Damage, and the rest on Percentage of Self-heal. OR I could maximize offense by investing in both Damage, and percentage of self-heal. The reloading MU's are too expensive for such a minimal boost in my opinion. I already have 5 Micro-upgrades on damage, 10 Micro-upgrades on reload, 3 on Impact, and 1 on Range. Should I pool it all in damage? Is it worth it? How big is the increase going to be? Currently it's 60.0 ~ 77.8 damage. . . +0.8 for the next MU? Not sure. C) Of course, this last option is saving. . . I mean, I got my Thunder's reload pretty high, and Isida overall is a very effective weapon. And M2 Viking seems alright. I just ranked, so no new rank in a while. In addition to that, perhaps I could wait for a sale on a kit? Lets say there was a 50% sale, I could take advantage of a Kit, which would stack with the sale, etc.

    Let's Discuss Micro-Upgrades!

@wild001: Don't use speed ups? So if there is a sale on MU's, but not a sale on speed-ups, don't MU pretty much?

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

When Smoky got its impact nerfed, people were crying that it became "useless." What? It's still super strong. Usually 3-4 hits is all it takes for the first critical. . . But then again I had 0% protection from Smoky. Wonder what Savannah/Needle paint feels like.

    Let's discuss Vulcan!

Yes. Same happened to me. I was using Hammer/Hunter earlier today, and an enemy Dictator/Vulcan kept shooting at me. However, he was dealing no damage when he was trying to shoot at my turret. None at all.

What to buy? Which is better?

@Doduobird: I don't know about you, but I've been seeing more, and more Infernos. Especially used by insane, hardcore, mindless, don't-know-how-to-turn-your-turret druggers. So although it's the kingpin of defense, and has a nice DPS, just warning you. But overall if I were you, I'd choose Freeze. . . I assume you have back-up guns just in case there are lots of Infernos. If you want Isida, I'd rather you get it in one fell swoop, both M2 and M3 in one single purchase. As an Isida M3, other M2 Isidas make me happy. I know that I will (usually) always win 1 on 1. Lol! :D
  8. Yessss! I really like playing with Firebird again! Thanks! :D Although not the same as before, still brings back some nostalgia.

    Let's discuss Vulcan!

@Langlas: LOL true. Going to be funny for people who don't know how to turn their turrets.
  10. I think I might go use Firebird again.

Nice. Before it looked so stubby.

    Open testing of Vulcan!

You're kind of right about that, though sometimes MU's do come into play - though MUs in M0-M2 are not that common unless it's for equipment such as Dictator, Mammoth, Twins, etc. (End-game equipment). However, you are also only assuming. You are assuming that we go against the same Modifications. M2 Vulcan unlocks at 2nd Lieutenant, while its M3 variant unlocks at Field Marshall. That is a LONG way to go. You're going to be bumping into M3 Vikings, M3 Hornets, M3 Wasps, M3 Freeze, M3 Railgun, etc. etc. long before you get the M3 Variant. And remember, owners of M3 have no risk of running heavy Micro-upgrades, so might as well deem it as M4. Though your thinking may work for things such as Thunder, Freeze, etc., I don't think it's that simple for Vulcan. :( Testing servers is for testing, which is what I intend to do. I don't want to go up against other super M3's mindlessly drugging. The same combinations, the same drugging power, we all know this is nothing close to real servers. And they all cancel out. Some more thorough testing is needed I think. @genak138: I believe you misunderstood my post from the start based on your reply. You thought I said something about letting ranks below Field Marshall to get M3 Vulcan. I did not say anything even relatively close to that. Think you need to review my post. Lol.

    Open testing of Vulcan!

@genak138: Exactly. Everybody obviously knows that on Test server, everybody is a G-simo. That's why we can buy everything, etc. etc. However, "not everyone is a G-simo," that obviously implies that I am talking about the real servers. Furthermore, do you know what the point of testing it is? It's so we can get a general idea of what the gun will feel like, etc. Not everybody is a Field Marshall, and thus, testing M3 alone isn't much for them. They will not be going against or using M3 Vulcan, but M0-M2 variants. Get it now? Lol. I don't think you understand my statement at all. Do you even understand English? Let me explain again. What is the point of letting us test M3 only, when not everyone is a Field Marshall? Why aren't we allowed to test M0-M2, which is probably what a lot of people will see/use? You know what the purpose of testing is right? Next time, try to understand the post first. Think before you post.

Stay in battle while you visit the lobby

Wow I just accidentally exited the battle. I thought Devs wanted dynamic battles. Not dumb hazards that can cause you to lose the entire fund. Great, another update for players to earn less crystals, and rank up faster.

    Open testing of Vulcan!

@genak138: That wasn't my point. Don't you think everybody knows that we're all Generalissimos in testing? Does the Generalissimo emblem towards the upper left-hand corner of the screen mean nothing? How about the ability for us to buy Dictator/Mammoth M3? Etc. etc. My point was that on the REAL servers, not everyone is a Field Marshall, and thus cannot purchase M3 Vulcan. It'd be much more helpful to us if we can test M0-M2 versions as well. @hhgb: Looks kind of different though, no? I prefer the current look better - with the belt of bullets.

    Open testing of Vulcan!

@Pow12345678: This will surely help with their goal of letting us use the Mouse to shoot, I guess. I'm just still waiting for them to let us test M0-M2. After all, I'm not buying M3. I'm not a Field Marshall.

It's still pretty good though. :o You know the high platform on Red team in silence? It's facing the Red Pipe, on Red Team's side. Machine Gun is EXCELLENT when stationed there. And meanwhile you can lay mines behind you to protect both you, and the path to the flag. And Isidas can heal you without getting shot from the same enemies you are shooting at. And you pretty much have every enemy tank in view. You literally mow down Blue enemies coming from the path at the Red Pipe, and you pretty much provide excellent support. The great thing about this turret is that you can lend your teammates cover fire, in case they're trying to make a quick rush. And if the enemies do try to stop them, they'll get knocked unbalanced. And if you take a look to the left, you have the option to shoot at the bridge, and that whole area around the double power supply drop. With that awesome range, you can even shoot at parts of the ramp, and in the tunnel. I'll say this is the best support gun yet. Too bad it got more expensive. If I were to get it to M2, it'd drain all my crystals. . . . I think I'd rather get it on an Alternate account to be honest. (edit) And the delay before you start shooting is not a problem at all. I believe (any) Railgun user will be able to adapt to this easily, am I right? You simply press the spacebar a little bit before you engage enemies in the open, so you immediately start shooting. Just like what Railgun does, since it also has the tiny delay. You shoot early, and as soon as you expose yourself, you already launch the shot. (peek-a-boo tactic)

Behold, the new stats. But why can't we test M0-M2 yet? Not everyone is a Field Marshall. And MU's are disabled right now I think. I like long-range, so this is a plus for me. . . . :P But also, the price went up. . . .By like 50,000 crystals or something for M2.

@dogm45: Then start moving your hull. Might be faster that way. Either that or you make sure you keep up and don't let them circle you.
