Oh man. I think this was why, a long time ago, Tanki Online chose NOT to have an Ideas/Suggestion section on the forums. Instead, all ideas went to a whole entirely different website. I was one of those guys who argued that the Ideas/Suggestions forums should be located here in the forums where everybody can have an easier time accessing it, but then I realized that there are those who can't take criticism at all. It's known that even though a majority may agree on something, it may be wrong. Somehow, a whole crowd of people may think that 1+1 = 3, when it equals 2, I get it. Though I think you also miss out on another way of looking at things. These ideas/suggestions people input should not be narrow-minded and selfish, or coming from just ONE point of view. These ideas suggested are presumably changes to the game (Tanki Online). In doing so, it will affect everybody. You alone do not make up 100% of the community, nor a majority. The game does not revolve around you, sorry. So when many people dislike your idea, and attack it, I think you should not overreact, something you tend to do frequently. Furthermore, you also attack with insults, sometimes derailing whole threads even though the person you replied to had a genuine interest in holding a valid conversation. But anyways, if many people dislike your idea, you should take a look at why others don't like your idea, and work on improving it so that both you, and the rest of the community likes it. Or in other words, a compromise. When you try to force something like that, saying that it HAS to be a certain way, or when you present restrictions in the game that are so extreme, you will meet equally radical and extreme replies. Same thing applies to your other idea, about not letting tanks get on top of each other because of when you used Mammoth, saboteurs tried to "bother" you. The basic idea of teamwork is top priority, and that those people should not be doing that is universally accepted. However, the idea that you chose to go with to stop that problem is what people disagree with. And I really do suppose you re-read your posts before posting them. You also have a problem with attacking others indirectly, and directly. In early stages, it is mostly indirectly, such as calling people who agree with your ideas smart, etc., and everybody else the opposite. And then when they respond with hostility against your posts that insulted them first, you act like you never insulted anybody. This is something I think you should work on if you want to be respected. You must respect others as well.

Thanks Doduobird. On my low ranked account, it just ranked and can now buy Shaft M1. Should I upgrade Shaft first, or Ricochet?

@GreeneScale: A classic combination is the Hornet/Railgun. :P So I'll suggest that. Especially at lower ranks, you'll have a fun time. . . Until you bump into Prodigis of course! _______________________________________________________________________________________ Thunder M4 or Hammer M3?

Fun owning newbies with Shaft in low ranks. They don't know what hit them! :lol: It's all fun and games until a Hammer/Hornet has gotten enough of getting 1-shotted at respawn to the point where he drugs and kills you. I mean, the ONLY person he went after was me. -_- True story at Cherynoble map. (edit) Also fun keeping hidden with Shaft when both flags are taken. Wait until flag-taker is in view, and quick-snipe. Even medical kit can't stop a well-timed quick-snipe when his double armor runs out. That instant damage! It will definitely be one of my primary pieces of equipment for my new account. Ricochet+Shaft on a Hornet and Dictator confirmed. Ricochet I'll get to M2, and MU it a bit, same goes for Dictator. Shaft/Hornet should be quick M3's. And they can also be interchanged very easily. Ricochet goes EXCELLENT on Hornet, and great on Dictator if I need for health. Shaft is awesome on Dictator with the taller height which I found gives me a big advantage. It's also great on Hornet if you want to stay hidden easier and get off a few deadly snipes from the shadows. ;)

I don't think being first was what Kevred meant by "originality." And no, votes don't mean anything when it comes to results. I'd hate for that to happen. It'd be just like those lame Facebook events/questions that rely on likes even if you have the right answer.

I'm sure any person would need more than just "originality" points to win this contest. It's just a little boost just in case things get REALLY tough I guess. But if you know your entry isn't going to do well, then shouldn't you improve it? They give you so many days to write out your entry for a reason. :P

@CombatCat2: Did you read fa2Lemuelm2's entry? His main character was the Thunder/Rustle/Dictator in the background. :P

@jomama_tanker: Ah. I suppose you are actually right. Basically I exaggerated. No different then those people who spam "Tanki is going downhill," yet is doing just fine. Tanki Online would still be running, true. Though my main point, in a gist, was that the community would not be the same. I really don't like playing games where it's only you playing, kind of feels like there's no point. So the community is important, etc. Not to mention the community is what makes some people stay in the game, and it helps spread word, and make Tanki popular. You know, socializing and spreading word about it, etc. etc. So although in literal terms, Buyers do keep the game RUNNING, but the combination of Non-buyers and Buyers both contribute to Tanki Online in important ways. So it's important to not disregard one of them entirely. Though when I think of buyers, I ignore the ones that buy just turret/paints/hulls and don't start drug-wars. (Though that's not saying they don't drug back) We can all see in the high ranks how it's like. Insane drug wars. Recently made a lower account, and came out of a battle. Druggers are worse over there. Like, seriously. I was 1st on my team, and we were pretty skilled, winning 3 rounds. Same people stayed, maybe 1-2 left. On the 4th round, two guys joined on enemy team, we were winning, and they start drugging. Two druggers, all it took. Drugging non-stop. In the end we lost 2-6. On the enemy team, there were Shafts who only knew how to do arcade shots, and the druggers couldn't even turn their turrets! No skill at all, and yet drugs helped them win by such a huge margin. No skill. Just basic maneuvering. 1. Take flag 2. Drive back to base. 3. 1-Shot un-drugged tanks 4. Use overpowered health pack and repeat Even if they do have skill, it was NOT shown during their drugging period. Not one trace of "skill." Skill alone simply can't win against a drugged super-tank when at the same modification as the un-drugged or higher. No chance, too strong. And "crazy druggers" are mostly associated with buyers by many people. So I guess that's how the general reputation of "buyers got no skills" grew. Which is wrong, true. Buyers have skills. Druggers don't need them.

@felony_1: See my post? It wasn't directed at you. TG159 clearly states what he thinks: "be happy non-buyers we are the only reason tanki is still running!" If you really think that, then I don't know what to say, then to look at the bigger picture. :rolleyes: Eh. If it's only turrets/hulls/paints, then I don't really care, as long as the equipment is rank appropriate. I don't think it's fair that Captains go against Emerald/Prodigi paint, and ranks lower than that go against Inferno paint. But one cannot deny that buyers do drug like hell. Lol! Though not all, I do acknowledge. And it's not a show of skill when you can run the flag in a straight line back to your home base with double armor/nitro, and health kit, knowing nobody can kill you. Sheesh.

@AR12: I've always had Freeze effect nerf in my head. :D Glad I'm not the only one. It was the best gun for non-druggers, and they crushed it by nerfing its freezing effect, and BUFFING health kit to delete freeze effect.

@TG159: Hold on, you guys are the ONLY reason Tanki Online is still running? I disagree. Although I agree that "donators" are an important part to why Tanki Online is running, and still developing new updates for the community to enjoy, I disagree that you are the ONLY reason why Tanki Online is running. Without both non-buyers and buyers, the community would not be like how it is today, and it would not be very large if only buyers stayed, and every non-buyer left. Would it make buying worth it, if you gain no real advantage if everyone were buyers? Hmmm. I still feel like the biggest problem is how drugs are way too powerful. Take a tanker without drugs, and play it against a tanker with drugs, 1v1. Same modification, same or different combination. The drugger will most likely win unless he either lags and disconnects, flipped over, or is incredibly stupid. And Buyers would have easier access to kits, and would most likely have higher grade equipment, and paint. Though that I don't mind. (Though I was very bothered by the earlier kits that handed out Prodigi/Emerald/Inferno paints to Captain ranks, or lower with Inferno, and were very expensive which made it most commonly an item for buyers.) And since they buffed health kit (which was unnecessary IMO), and weakened guns like Freeze, they further increased the gap between buyers and non-buyers by decreasing standard turret stats and buffing boosts. They returned Firebird to its original version pretty much, but before the burning time was cut in half, you could see how weakened Firebird had become, on top of drugs. Though the above two sections would be only aimed at buyers who buy drugs. Buyers that buy only turrets/hulls/paints, I think it's not a big deal. And if you play it out with drugged team vs. non drugged team, it's too sad/painful to look at. So it's the scenario of hop on the same team, or get destroyed. And then you'll have to basically pay 5,000 crystals a month to play fair games, for all ranks. So yes, I think that's why people think of buyers as "no skill noobs." Simply put, the drugs overshadow their skills even if they do have skill. So it's not shown. The non-drugged knows they have no chance on killing him/her unless they are wounded/flipped over. Lol. Not a display of skill vs. skill. Though I have drugged back against druggers, won, and they started to call me noob even though they started drugging. . . . What a drag.

Guess we'll have to wait for either Kev or Remaine to arrive and clear things up. Does the contest end on the 22nd like how it says on the front page, or was it changed? Hmm.

I've got Isida M3 to do that. :P And if I feel like it, M2 Firebird, M2 Freeze, M2 Railgun, M2 Smoky, though non-MU'd. So I'm good.
