You will be able to see what a paint looks like on your tank. This will be done in the garage. So no, you won't be able to take it for a ride or anything.

Tankers! We have just made two changes to paints in Tanki Online. First of all, you can now preview paints in your garage to see how they look on your tank before buying them. Second, paints in your garages are now sorted differently. Unique and award paints are at the very beginning of the list, followed by the other paints, from the most advanced to the most basic. So, the paints you actually use the most often, are now the easiest to access. Check out these new features right now by logging into the game and visiting your garage.

Changes in Garage and CP 15 Seconds to the New Year

Tankers! We’ve just rolled out 2 major changes in Tanki Online: finding an item you need in your garage is now a lot easier with the folders feature, while Control Points battles have become a lot more dynamic. Folders in Garage The garage is no longer separated into “My Items” and “Shop”. Instead, all items are now divided into 6 categories: Turrets Hulls Paints Supplies Kits Special Guns are sorted according to effective range, and hulls according to weight and protection. Paints are displayed from most advanced to most basic. Additionally, you can now preview paints in your garage to see how they look on your tank before buying them. The “Special” folder includes passes, Double Crystal Cards, as well as temporary and unique items added to the game for various events. For every folder, the game first displays the items you own, next, the ones that are available for purchase, and finally, goods that are not yet available due to your rank. By the way, the game memorizes the last viewed folder, and will be opening it automatically next time you enter the game. Also, if something new happens inside a category, such as a new item being unlocked, or a new discount becoming available, a red indicator will appear on top of the respective button. Reworked CP mode The Control Points mode has become a lot more dynamic thanks to the updated system for score calculation. Now, besides growing their score by controlling points, the leading team will also lose points for every control point currently occupied by the enemy — the losing side will be able to close the gap, so a battle’s outcome will always remain unclear till the very end, making for an even more exciting game! But we’ve also decided to make it cheaper for 48 hours! Starting from 02:00 UTC on November 21, till 02:00 UTC on November 23, all micro-upgrades are at 25% off, and all speed ups are at 50% off. Tankers! As of today, the updated system for micro-upgrades has gone live in Tanki Online. Now, improving the parameters of your turrets, hulls and paints is simpler, while speeding up the upgrades is more affordable. Upgrading all parameters together With this update, upgrading individual characteristics separately has been replaced with improving all of the item’s parameters together. For example, when upgrading a hull, you’ll be improving its protection, maximum speed, maneuverability, weight and power; all at the same time. The same goes for turrets and paints — when clicking the “Upgrade” button, you’ll be simultaneously boosting all of the weapon’s parameters, or all of the paint’s protections. Fixed number of upgrades steps Now, all turrets and hulls have a fixed number of upgrade steps — 50. Every subsequent step will increase in price (just like before), but the increase in the parameter is now uniform for all steps. This means final upgrades now make much more sense, as they still give you a significant increase to the parameter. Speed ups at fixed prices While the price for fully upgrading an item’s parameters without using speed ups has remained the same, doing it with speed ups will actually cost you less than before. The price for a speed up is now fixed at 50% of the cost of the respective upgrade. Just like before, fully upgrading the parameters of your turret or hull, will allow you to get its next modification for free (upon reaching the required rank of course). Converting old upgrades We’ve converted all of the old upgrades on your equipment to reflect the new micro-upgrades system. Now, the parameters on each of your items have been boosted to match the level of the most upgraded parameter. This has been applied to all turrets, hulls and paints that have been micro-upgraded in any way. For example, if you had upgraded the damage on your Freeze M2 to 14 steps out of 24 (up to 59,2 health points per second), and this was the most upgraded parameter for this item, the game will choose the step in the new system where the damage is closest to 59,2 and boost all of the turret’s parameters to that level. If the gun’s damage (or any other parameter) was fully upgraded, the update will have converted all other parameters to maximum, giving you a fully upgraded turret. That also means that once you’ve reached the rank needed to use Freeze M3, you’ll be able to get it for free! Detailed descriptions of each item’s upgrades will soon be added to our wiki. The community size is not the only thing we are considering when launching a new community. Other things are taken into account, such as the country's gaming market, how good Tanki would perform inside it. Lots of factors really. Poland turned out to be the best choice at this stage. Hehe it's not 50%, not even close to it, but yeah, we have lots of Arabic players. AR community is being discussed now, it might get started in the future.

Tankers! It’s an exciting day for Polish tankers all around! Tanki Online now has a full-supported Polish version including full, in-game translation and two dedicated servers (PL1 and PL2) where Polish players will be sent by default, with more dedicated servers being added as needed. Of course, Polish tankers will always have the option to switch to other servers should they wish to do so. We also have a Polish forum and social media, as well as a dedicated help site. Tankers! It’s time for the hauntings to begin! Halloween is here and Tanki Online has been flooded with the restless spirits of long-forgotten tankers. This also means you’re in for a bunch of treats and fun with our yearly Halloween celebrations. In case you missed yesterday’s announcement, here’s what’s waiting for you in the game right now: Special Halloween map with extra treats (Gold Boxes) We all know Halloween is about atmosphere, so we’ve prepared a unique Halloween DM map with all-new looks designed just for the occasion. And since candy is bad for your teeth, your special treat this Halloween is a load of gold boxes. That’s right! On the special Halloween map, gold boxes are falling 10 times more often! Additionally, the gold notification has been changed to match the spooky theme. Just make sure you keep your nerves steady! NOTE: The gold drop frequency is only increased on the Halloween map. Golds drop normally on other maps. Special prizes for top Halloween gold hunters For those of you with steady nerves, there’s a special treat. The top 100 Halloween gold hunters, (those who catch the most Halloween gold boxes on the holiday map) will receive a special reward as follows: 1st Place: 100 000 crystals and a dream tank (any turret+hull available by rank, including XTs) 2nd — 10th place: 50 000 crystals 11th — 100th place: 20 000 crystals The winners will be announced on Monday, November 2nd. Special Halloween-themed daily mission This Halloween, we challenge you to face your ghosts with a special daily mission: Earn 3000 experience points on the Halloween map. Completing it might take several hours, but the reward will be totally worth it. For example, a Major will get 10 750 crystals for completing the assignment, while a Generalissimo will be rewarded with 16 750! IMPORTANT: Just like any other daily assignment, the special mission is assigned randomly and requires at least one free slot at server restart. If you haven’t received the Halloween mission after last night’s server restart, you can still try to get it by changing your existing assignments for new ones. Make sure you complete the Halloween mission and ALSO claim the reward before 2 am UTC on November 1, or it will be automatically removed from your missions with the restart, and you will not get the prize. Two unique Halloween-themed paints While others are fooling around trick-or-treating in their silly costumes, you’re out in the arena hunting ghosts and golds. And that means you need to have the costume to match. That’s why this year we’ve prepared not 1 but 2 unique paints! The first one is the traditional Holiday paint. The second one is pretty special. It’s called Eternity and it is available for purchase to Premium tankers in one of 4 versions, depending on the rank. In fact, as a little extra on top of all the fun and goodies, we’ve slashed 13% off all content in the game, except for product kits, Premium account and premium items. That means you can get regular turrets, hulls and paints, as well as MUs and speed ups, supplies and passes, all at a 13% discount. Additionally, we’ve added a 13% bonus to all crystal purchases. So: If you buy 200 000 crystals (100 000 paid for + 100 000 package bonus) without a DCC, you get 13% bonus on top of that, resulting in a total of 226 000 crystals If you buy 200 000 crystals (100 000 paid for + 100 000 package bonus) with a DCC, the amount is first doubled, and then the 13% bonus is applied on top of that, which means you get a total of 452 000 crystals Now hurry up, tankers! There are only a few hours of celebrations left. The ghosts and goodies go away at 2 am UTC on Nov 1. Tankers! If anybody has ever doubted your claim that you’re the best tanker in the world, it’s time to prove them wrong. Personal Statistics, Ratings, and Achievements are now in the game! In case you missed the details in yesterday’s announcement, here’s how each feature will work. Ratings A crucial element of the new system is a weekly TOP-100 of tankers in 3 categories: experience earned, crystals earned, and gold boxes caught. These lists are reset every Monday with the scheduled server restart, at 2 am UTC. The good news is that the ratings are in real time, updating every few minutes. So, if someone is close on your heels, you’ll be able to see it, and more importantly, do something about it! Additionally, you can find out your current position in Earned Experience Points (EXP) and Earned Crystals (CRY) ratings without leaving the game. This data is displayed in the right part of your experience bar. Statistics Each tanker now has his own profile page, displaying various statistics: current rank amount of XP till the next rank number of enemies destroyed number of deaths total death/kill ratio currently equipped gear current positions in weekly ratings The bottom part of the profile page lists all the turrets, hulls and paints used by the tanker, including the amount of hours spent and experience earned using each piece of gear. The system also displays the number of supplies used, as well as the time played and experience earned in each battle mode. All profiles are publicly visible, which means you can view the profile of any tanker, whether he’s on your friends list or not. To do that, simply find his page using the search feature on the site, or by clicking on his name inside the game and selecting “Profile”. Of course, you can also share your profile with the world through social media. NOTE: The only parameters that have been monitored since the very launch of Tanki Online are experience points, kills, deaths, and crystals earned. All other numbers have only recently started being monitored. So, to avoid any confusion, experience, kills, deaths, and crystals earned, are counted from the beginning of the game. Everything else has started being counted as of Friday, October 23, which is when the statistics system was integrated into the game. Achievements Achievements are Tanki medals issued for reaching various milestones. There are nearly 150 of them, ranging from the most obvious, such as destroying enemies and capturing flags, to more unusual ones, such as collecting all XT items or getting a rare paint. Your personal statistics and achievements, as well as the weekly ratings, can be viewed by clicking on the Ratings button in the upper panel of the homepage or forum. It’s time for you to finally prove that you’re the best on the battlefield. Join a battle right now, start building up those statistics and ratings, and collecting achievements, and then rub them in your opponents’ faces! Victory is now twice as sweet.
