I know there isn't a definite rank that says when you need a certain turret modification, but I would like to know when I should be getting a M2 turret and hull. I know it is best to get one as soon as possible, and they unlock at different ranks. For example, for M1's, they can be unlocked as early as Sergeant Major and as late as WO4, but it is probably best to get one at around WO1. In other words, up to what rank is it acceptable to use a M1 combo before other players say "look at that noob, he is still using a M1 weapon!" ?

Solution: Play DM. You can't get kicked from those, unless you get disconnected by your internet.

M1 Isida sucks. The difference between M0 to M1 is noticeable, but not worth the 18K (I got it on sale). Only get it if you insanely love healing. And besides, it's a rubbish gun. Can't heal or attack properly, and it looks extremely ugly. I haven't used M1 Shaft, but I guess it is ok if you like sniping. It's also relatively inexpensive. Edit: Actually this is what I recommend. Don't get Isida or Shaft. Get M1 Firebird, which is only 7K. Use it with M0 Hornet, and then save crystals. Don't buy paint, and then you can get M1 Hornet. (If you don't buy crystals, this might take time, since I got M1 Hornet on sale too) Another option: Get M1 Smoky (11K) and use it with Mammy. Save for M1 Hornet, and then if you don't buy anything else, you could have enough crystals for Twins or Thunder.

The only downside is that more players = more chance of lag.

Statistically it has the highest damage per shot, but as modifications move up, then the hulls have higher armor. M0 Shaft can't one-shot M0Viking, M0 Titan, or M0 Mammoth. At M1, it still cannot one-shot those hulls (when they are M1), but now it cannot one-shot M1 Dictator. Also, keep in mind that Shaft only has high damage when it is fully charged, and when fully charged, the turret moves insanely slow; not to mention the crappy view from the scope. And, in drug wars, Shaft fails completely, especially with everyone using Medikits.

This is why you shouldn't spend too much on paints. I know plenty of players above Captain who use Forester.

Don't forget these (Most people know them, anyway) 1 Good view and spot for sniping. When using Rail, you can hide underneath the ramp. Double damage supply also drops on the same ledge. However, because of the camera view, it may be hard to know when other tanks are attacking you. Also, it may be hard to get to this camp spot. 2 Similar to the first one. The view is the same as the first, but you need to be careful since there is a spawn spot in that corner. 3 Also a spawn point. The view is not as good compared to 1 and 2, but it is more secure compared to the first two. Like the second one, watch for tanks that spawn there. 4 View is decent, and you can easily jump off if needed. However, watch out for people sniping you through the bridge

Ranks under WO1, Moon Silence DM - Freeze/Mammoth, camp on side ramp. At your rank boxes get you more crystals than the fund. Also, don't spam your crystals on lame paints (Only buy Forester, it will last you up to at least Third Lieutenant and beyond) and rubbish weapons/hulls, like Ricochet and Titan.
