Polygon TDM?? Those battles even exist? I've never seen one before. Edit: Polygon is made solely for deathmatch.

In my opinion it doesn't work. For Hornet, in my experience they have to be far away and it works less than 50% of the time. However, it works for newbs using Rail/Wasp. Why do people use that combo anyway?

Is M1 Rail good? I have seen others use it and it is insanely good. I'm pretty sure it will go on sale in the next week or so, and I really want to get it.

Does M1 Smoky work in Lieutenant ranks? I've been using a lot of Smoky/Mammoth and I play Polygon DM's the most. However, sometimes when I use it against Lieutenants it is hard to get kills. M2 Smoky unlocks at a high rank, and I heard M2/M3 is very OP.

I've always used Q+E for camera controls. I didn't find out about the [+] until yesterday.

Smoky is good for battles under WO4, especially against M0 hulls. However, I feel that Smoky looses a little strength starting from WO5 into the Lieutenant ranks. I have Smoky, and now Polygon DM's are a lot harder because the Smoky/Mammoth doesn't work quite as well.

So you're asking what our favorite gamemodes are? By the way, "HOTSPOTS" are control points and "FFA" is Deathmatch. I like Deathmatch the most. The rest are team battles, and if your teammates suck but you're good, then you're still going to end up not getting a lot of the fund. For DM, if you do bad, you can only blame yourself.

Don't get Isida. Although the difference between M0-M1 is slightly noticeable, it is not worth 18K (Unless you get it on sale). M1 Freeze is good, and if you only buy Freeze, then you will be able to get M2 Freeze faster (unlocks at WO5). M1 Hornet is very good. I got it on sale. Health and speed are significantly improved, and it is definitely worth the price. I also strongly recommend Rail. I don't have it, and I really wished I saved up for it earlier. Don't buy Firebird. Although it is cheap and the difference is noticeable, the reload time takes way too long. Also, you will need Wasp to use it and you're better off with the extra 7K crystals.

Isn't Smoky good with Viking? I bought Hornet on the sale, and whenever I use Smoky/Hornet in Polygon DM's I wish I'd gotten Viking.

RIght now I have: Marine - I don't use this one anymore, and it doesn't help due to Firebird's after burn. Forester - This one I use a lot with M1 Hornet. Helpful against Rails. Dragon - I got this one during the paint sale a couple of weeks ago. Don't know why I got it, but I don't think -22% Ricochet even helps. So do I need something else? I have heard people say that Forester is a paint that lasts a long time. Also, I recently joined a team which uses Jaguar for protection paint battles. By the time I have 23K to buy it, I'm going to be too tempted to buy another upgrade (Rail) especially with more sales coming.

Yes. When I was your rank, I was very worried about this. However, like others have said, the battle fund increases. Make sure that you go to the forum before buying a M1 weapon, because you can get a lot of good tips on what to get. Another tip is to always play in battles you have time for. Never play in the 999 kills battles if you don't have 4-5 hours for it.
