As you use Rail, both are very good. However I'd suggest Hornet as it's more maneuverable, which is a key part of aiming with Rail.

Sandstone: Twins 5%, Thunder 14%, Railgun 20%, Shaft 15% -Twins and Shaft protections aren't worth much, IMO -Thunder and Railgun are good, but not a lot of protection Hohloma: Freeze 20%, Ricochet 20%, Smoky 22% -Freeze and Smoky are nice protections, especially considering all the M2s and M3s of each that players use -Ricochet isn't very common now, however once you're at Major, new physics will have given it a huge boost Light or medium, but it's all down to what you prefer. I'd suggest Hornet or Hunter.

Yeah, but right now Hunter and Viking at M2 are better, IMO.

No, they aren't going to refund us after new physics, even though it's a ginormous change in stats for most hulls and some turrets.

I know there will be a lot of changes along the way, but what paints do you like in the upper ranks?

Ignore Robbie. Hornet is a great hull at every modification, unlike some of it's competitors. That fact, and its versatility, is what makes Hornet such a popular hull.

After getting Hornet M2, should I buy Thunder M1 to pass the time, or just save my crystals as I plan on Rail, Hunter and Smoky M2?

Of course we do, but according to Tanki it's too hard and not really a real change, so, you know, buy some crystals to get what you want now.
