Well, it is good for Fire-haters, but overall I wouldn't say so. It's pretty expensive just to protect from Firebird, with some excess 10%s thrown in. Freeze M2, then get a hull M2.

Uh, definitely don't get the kit. Hornet M2 at a 50% sale is only about 35k and in this kit you'd get Izzy M2 (unwanted), a bunch of supplies and In love (garbage), Loam (unfocused protection unless you hate Fires), as well as the one great paint, Savanna. It'd be much smarter to only get the couple things you want, Rail and Hornet.

Occasionally low rank players (noobs) have joined a battle with me and started asking questions. In these cases they may have just bought a new item, etc., and are looking for some tips. I try to give them a couple pointers, which is usually very helpful. One player used my advice to take first place over me. :P However, my patience runs thin with those low rankers who show up and sabotage. I find this the worst in friendly fire matches and TDM mode, where they can die repeatedly, costing the game. Also, I find the real high rankers can be very obnoxious. I once joined an English Silence Rail battle with Gens. Surprisingly, I started doing pretty well and got quite a few kills. Then some teammates started complaining about me getting in their way, even though I was by the container and concrete blocks on the red side. So, after passing a few high ranked players in score, these members kicked up a real fuss and I got kicked out of the battle. I never try to abuse any respect of lower ranks, but there is a fine line between learning and becoming a liability. Hopefully we can all learn to walk this line carefully, as it has great effect upon our peers.

A rather lame discount, actually. Shaft ain't popular enough, so the other two will easily get 25% sales. I almost feel like "Choose your discount!" should actually be called "25% sale on Isida and Thunder." Oh well, hopefully hulls will be discounted after new physics.

Completely agree with this, although if you grab a Shaft modification quickly, it is very dangerous.

Well, it does depend upon what turrets you find the most dangerous, but I can tell you from experience - as this is my oldest combo - that enemy Rails and Thunders are the most dangerous to us. I bought Tundra and it serves very well, but Corrosion, Cedar or Digital are all helpful paints as well. Right now, you could get Rail M2, as a skilled player can easily defend with it by knocking out people before they even get to home base, but I'd especially suggest Titan M2, which, once available to you, will give you speed to move around your base, but also armour to protect from enemy snipers and Thunders.

Actually getting excited for these updates, what with the promised changes to combat certain issues. I hope the physics come out this week or next so we get a look at them.
