Yeah, the church actively denounced Galileo, putting his book and Copernicus' book before him in their index of forbidden books. They tried Galileo for heresy and sentenced to life imprisonment. Just like today, an equivalence can be found in how some people still believe that the Earth to be a few thousand years old, back then, they thought that everything orbited the Earth. Ever since humans have had the ability to think and to reason, they must have looked up to the stars and wondered, where did all this come from. To them, there must have been some big people with special powers that made it all. Anything back then was miraculous because they did not know why nature did what it did. It must have been God because nobody can explain it. One by one, the unanswered questions in science that creationists have attributed to a God, are getting answered, pushing the "God must have done it" reason to an ever decreasing realm of fantasy. The Church backtracked when Galileo discovered with his telescope the Earth was not the centre of the universe. And so they backtracked again when all the supporting evidence backed up Darwins theory of Evolution. They're always backtracking with each new discovery. Einstein proved atoms existed in 1905 just by studying pollen grains in a liquid. Here we are a century later with Quantum Theory, which describes how nature behaves at the microscopic level. What can we learn in another 100 years... or 500 years for that matter! That reminded me of Feynman's view This too.

I've out-grown you? :D Yeah, annoying. Have you tried ccleaner? My pc still runs vista and I got it in 2007 although it was a pretty good spec back then and I keep it maintained by replacing the power supply and hard drives every couple of years. If I ever think it's getting too slow, I just revert the system drive back to a clean, updated installation image.

Is anyone experiencing disconnections over the last few days? I can't seem to play a game lately where I'm not having to hit refresh to re-enter it. When I do manage to get back in, I see lots of paused tanks. Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I can't see a notice anywhere that Tanki is experiencing technical difficulties. Will these be fixed soon or is it a problem with player's pc's?

First off, I'm baptised in the Christian faith but I'm an atheist of 10 years and agnostic before that for some time. I defend people's right to believe in whatever they want, whether it's a big invisible man in the sky, Santa or Celestial Teapots, just as long their beliefs don't affect me - carry on believing. Having read the first 8 or 9 pages of this topic, here are my thoughts on Evolution in no particular order... The Pope believes in Evolution as does the Catholic church. The current Pope, who I greatly admire and the best Pope ever by the way, believes God created life through evolution and has gone on record saying so. While it's called a "Theory", don't confuse theory with unproven. Darwinian Evolution is proven scientific fact due to the sheer weight of documented evidence that can back it up. People who ask, "where is the evidence", clearly have not looked or have shut their ears and eyes to it because it conflicts with some belief or other. Theory has 2 main meanings. Evolution is in the first, not the second. 1. "A well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world; an organized system of accepted knowledge that applies in a variety of circumstances to explain a specific set of phenomena" 2. "A tentative insight into the natural world; a concept that is not yet verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena" eg, Theory of relativity fits with example no.1. Your satnav wouldn't work properly if that wasn't true. Lawrence Krauss has written a book, "A Universe From Nothing". Richard Dawkins: this could potentially be the most important scientific book since Darwin's Origin of Species. How we can get something from nothing goes to the very beginnings. Evolution hasn't stopped. We are constantly evolving as are our cousins the chimps who we share more than 98% of our dna with. You only have to look at the genome sequencing for the proof of that. Creationists say there are no examples of species changing, clearly have not looked hard enough. Google "Ring species" or watch Potholer54's video on youtube explaining it citing real world examples. Entropy - a regurgitated and bogus argument when trying to disprove evolution citing the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Funny how science is believed when it's to try and backup creation points of view. Sadly they conveniently forget to add the, "closed system", part of the argument. Just thought I'd stick up for Goldrock... :) edit: Forgot to say how disappointed I am with the poll results. Questions. When micro upgrading, I see it takes a certain number of steps to fully upgrade. Each MU costs X amount of crystals and you get a Y boost for that modification. Is there a table you can supply for each step, detailing X and Y for every item in the garage? My m2 Thunder has 5 parameters and 68 MU steps in total. Can you go into detail a bit more on how discount is earned for the next m3. What if I just fully upgrade 1 of the 5 parameters, how is that percentage determined? Say if Parameter 1of5 has 19 steps and parameter 3of5 just has 4 steps. Does just fully upgrading parameter 3of5 for get me 1/5th of 70% off an m3 or does it get me 4/68th of 70% off? Thanks
