    Halloween 2024

Halloween event this year has been great, very much enjoyed it. Of course grenades felt frustrating and I wish they were disabled, but at least overdrives were disabled in the event mode.

    Halloween 2024

Thanks for the classic halloween DM mode. I wish one of the 2 weeks also had augments enabled, but it's fine.
  3. XT drone is not a skin. It's a separate drone. If you win a challenge accepted by earning the most stars, you win the XT drone (either Crisis XT or Hyperion XT). The drone is then automatically added to your garage when they send out prizes for the challenge accepted. It's given un-upgraded, so you still need to fully upgrade it with crystals. The cost of upgrading is the same as regular crisis or hyperion drones. And to answer your specific question, if you don't own hyperion drone, and you win hyperion XT, you'll still only have hyperion XT drone. If you want the regular hyperion drone, you have to buy it in the garage for crystals.
  4. Does this mean a slight adjustment to every single parameter of all equipment, at every upgrade level? please no ;( Rip. Guess we at least know they are in active development and most likely close to being completed.
  5. 15 tk per cake ? If the drop rate is same as last year, it's so little. All miner, blaster and lifeguard in legendary category are good, we already had most of them there. It seems like the regular containers weren't changed at all, fine I guess, you can earn a lot of them. Epic containers quite buffed, much needed change since they felt quite bad for how much they cost or how few you get. It still feels like it takes ages to open just a few turret augments, which are necessary for legend rank gameplay and it's so difficult to get them. I guess it's somewhat being solved by events like team contracts and build and fight, but that still takes a while to enter.

    May holidays 2024

Good luck keeping up with the supply consumption...

    Cosmonautics Day 2024

The second mode was somewhat okay, still annoying crits, but fine. The first mode and the current one are both very frustrating. The hopper instant damage is to an extent fun to get free kills, but at the same time it makes the mode more about clicking shift and less about railgun. I'm not really a fan of the overdrive dealing damage or stunning in these special modes.

    Fool Days 2024

OMG, DM mode without overdrives, that's so good, thank you. Please can you also bring back the super golds in this mode for a few days too? Everyone was complaining about hoppers the last week and this would be perfect mode.
  9. ? Compensated with a chat ban for every violation you've done while it wasn't possible to report? Sounds like a very generous token of apology.

    Team Contracts

It already works that way, just with different numbers. For completing the mission you are guaranteed 50 points Then as a bonus, if your team gets better place you get: 1st place - 150 pts 2nd place - 100 pts 3rd place - 50pts Yea... I understand you. Just pointing out that the system you suggested is already in place, you just wanted more stuff to be guaranteed. I'd also welcome that, but they like the chaos option. Anyway, the worst outcome (10x 50) is already not going to happen, each team has at least 400 points at the moment and we still have 5 days, adding 250 more in the worst case. It's not enough for turret augment for one team (and in edge case for 2 teams), but that's how the event was designed. People who complain that the event sucks, should pay more attention to it next time, since it was clear there is a risk of earning less than 1k points. May sound harsh from me, but the risk was presented quite clearly on this one. This event is ridiculously good for average event standards, in most cases you can get 1 exotic augment for 700tk and completing every mission. There's decent chance these augments are getting nerfed soon, but it is what it this, they should still be better than average. I'm in twinserin on my main account, so I'm not praising the event as a winner. It's probably not possible for me to get the augment I desired, since I'm not willing to spend another 1.2k tk for it. A consolation hull augment is still quite nice tho.

    Team Contracts

I like this, unless your team is extremely unlucky, you can almost certainly buy one turret augment for 700tk and completing every mission. It's a nice way to choose one of the cool augments for very cheap, much better than buying hundreds of epic containers, or other events which only give certain augment option, or you don't even know what you are getting out of it. I kinda wish the bundle was a pack with infinite purchases tho... ? Ohhh, and I just realized you can spend every single leftover points on containers of your choice. Ok, this is almost perfect.
  12. Where did you come up with the 21 fewer containers? I'm quite sure you still get 3 containers in daily supermission. Just the tankoins were redistributed. May be a bit annoying, cause now you need to play daily to get all of them, but it's more friendly for most random players.
  13. That's the biggest directed L in history of tanki ? Thanks for decreasing loading time of paints category. This sounds terrible, but it's so good. Now you can gain tankoins just by completing daily missions, while until now a casual player could never finish all weekly missions. The total amount of tankoins is unchanged, and I don't think the container count was changed either? I'm not counting encore missions, they don't exist to me. Weekly missions are a joke now tho. So new meta is clicking quick battle, finding a 80% finished battle, getting top3, taking 8 stars and repeat.

  15. emrakul

do you need tankoins to upgrade to the next mk?

I will add that you get 120 extra tankoins from the tutorial missions, and entry bonus, which gives 100 tankoins gift. Both of them can be completed once.
  16. I used to do these minigames on alt as well, but never with this great luck. The best result I got was completing the wasp/fire demonic minigame (with about 800 candy if I remember correctly, 600 of which was caught in battles), but since then the events were always setup in a way that it wasn't possible again. This minigame I wanted to try it on main account and spent a lot of time catching gingers in the new year's DM event mode. The one positive thing about legend rank is that I can also complete all daily and special missions for ginger, while on alt I'd not be able to. However after rolling my steps when the first event ended I already had an unlucky start: That's nothing tho. I'll let you do the math on how unlucky this was (screenshot from today, after more daily missions and some ginger gold boxes): So that's the minigame for me, catching 80 is not realistic at legend rank. I could buy 60 for 1.8m and grind the rest, but for what? 2 status effect augments? Or the 21 epic keys? It's not just the 1.8m, it's also the hours of ginger grinding, and all missions. And this isn't even the first time this happened, it's my usual luck. The minigame last year ended the same way: I know in later checkpoints you get pulled back more often, but I just think this is worse than what you are supposed to see on average. Every minigame I'm more and more disappointed, the price is and always was ridiculously expensive, so that even boosting yourself the few steps to next checkpoint is not worth at all. Maybe this monetization works on the rich people, but I'm certainly not rich. Well, as usual, let's see what happens in the next minigame, I still hope that it might get better. The first halloween minigame was too good and probably shouldn't happen again, but I also don't see why it shouldn't be possible for few lucky people to complete the entire minigame if they grinded for ridiculous amount of time. It's still great for new players to unlock extra protection slots for free, and gives you few extra supplies and containers if you only complete the missions and don't care about anything else.
  17. Do you have any paints left in the leg category? If paints are twice as common as leg augs, then with no avaiable paints the "experienced" chance of getting a legendary will be considerably lower and it's more likely you'll get to the forced 300th cont. For example, if I make up these chances: (so this adds up to 1%) 100k 0.2% 100tk 0.2% paint 0.4% augment 0.2% Then if you open all paints, you end up with only 0.6% "perceived" chance to open cont, and the remaining 0.4% will be split among all drops, increasing them a tiny bit. You probably still got unlucky, but it sounds like you'll be getting the forced legendary more often. If you still have some legendary paints in the container, you got really unlucky. I'm not sure if I like that key is the more common reward. Good if you want to get an exotic, bad if you need crystals.

    Parkour Discussion / Q&A

Just stumbled upon this and read most of the discussion since December. I know it's all over, but I want to add my thoughts. I never liked turning general parkour into an official system. It was always about doing something you want to do for the result, not for the reward. You probably consider me a hypocrite because I was and still am participating in parkour contests, but in my opinion there's a difference between a contest and parkour in general. I'll say what I believe most know, but don't want to hear, or refuse to accept. Parkour club paints are and always were the issue. Ask yourself - Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to finish a video within a time frame to meet some criteria of parkour support? Did you do it for the parkour, or to keep the paint/get support? I have been there. It's a whole different feeling to work on a video that you want to make as good as you possibly can and THAT is your goal, or you are working on a video just to finish it, because deadline is pushing. I'm not saying that the second video can't be good, but your goal is to get some reward out of it, not to produce a video that is reward on its own. You may have a different opinion, and consider obtaining a (all) parkour club paint a goal - for prestige, collection, or you just like the paint. I respect that, but mostly disagree. I can understand the prestige of being in a specific club and the paint representing you - if you are actually doing a lot for the parkour. I still think it's core of the problem. Maybe parkour club paints are the last thing keeping it alive, but is that good? I hate to say this, but you should take example from the parkour fighting community (if I can even call it that). They certainly don't do it for support from tanki. Do they still do it? Do they need supplies? Did *anything* stop them? If you want to do parkour, do it for the parkour. You don't need special paint. Supplies are quite easy to obtain these days, and even many years ago it was possible. What's stopping you then?
  19. Yes, that is exactly what happened. Precisely what convinced me of the "item group" container system. Missing supplies make the biggest difference and it wasn't possible to do this check until recent update which made supplies unavailable on recruit through containers. Just checked one opening, 286 of the last iteration of regular containers on one recruit account, before the keys update dropped: 216x 1k 75.5% 28x 3k 9.8% 17x 10k 5.9% 12 rare paints 4.2% 11 epic paints/shot effects 3.8% (I forgot that they are different items... so I counted them together) 2 leg paints 0.7% (too rare to take seriously Similar result on second account, with 204 containers, 72.5% of which were 1k crystals and 8.8% 3k. And more, with same results. So yes, you just independently proved to yourself, that the system isn't based on rarities. How do you have 800 common keys already? I guess you've converted few thousand containers? Well, all of my relevant questions were answered, that was interesting.
  20. So basically my theory was 100% correct, pretty much to last detail. I'm... happy? Idk, I basically confirmed that's how it works about a month ago, so it's just nice to hear it from you too. Aaand it took me only few years, about 10k containers saved up, to try scam the containers by controlling which items are available and which aren't, but instead getting scammed by the containers. I mean... fair, I understand that this is good way to roll random loot, it's just quite annoying that we were presented with "official chances" which weren't entirely wrong, but also we were indirectly mislead to think that the system works differently. I like the idea of showing the exact drop chances. I read it earlier, thanks for checking that. However, did it work previously like so? That every 15 UC you were guaranteed to get 25k crystals? I mean, it's changed with keys or with tomorrow's update. I'm just a player who wants to get as much loot as possible, so I'm obviously going to ask for increasing the chances of items. But I really do think the chance to get legendary augments is ridiculously low, for how many containers you can earn f2p. Even a 1% chance is a joke, but the chance is obviously lower than that. Epic augments feel much better. And thank you for making the guaranteed drop from entire rarity pool, that is a huge change.
  21. Okay, and while we are on the topic of container drops, I'll ask one more question. (I also read the other edited comment, thanks for checking that.) Before key update, I'm quite sure the presented rarity drop chances (common container: 50% common, 34% uncommon, 10% epic, 1% legendary) weren't presented accurately. If certain "type of item", for example "100 supplies of a type" wasn't available in container (which happens on recruit rank, supplies aren't unlocked yet), then the only possible uncommon drop are 3000 crystals. So then it should mean that 34% of time an uncommon item should drop and it can be only 3000 crystals. But in reality, the rate at which 3000 crystals have dropped didn't increase that much. And more importantly, the amount of times a common 1000 crystals dropped increased to over 65% or so (it's supposed to be 50%). Of course it's all random chance, but if I opened on average like 600 (I can find the accurate number) times 1000 crystals from 800 common containers, it's a little bit sus. So that made me think and I realized that it looks like items are grouped and a certain group is picked. So if a group is missing because it's not available or already obtained, then everything else slightly increases its chance to be dropped. Is it possible to explain how this works?
  22. I (and I think almost everyone else) assumed the pity system guaranteed you an epic item in ultra container only if you didn't get another one, and that pity item is always the 25k crystals. But I guess this explains why it always seemed like if I get one epic item in set of 15 ultra containers, then it is always crystals. Well... it's because that's how it works, but now I understand why that happens. Even if you get lucky to drop a random epic item, you are also guaranteed to get another epic 25k crystals, so that the item is never "alone" in the set of 15 uc. Thanks for clearing that up, that's useful information. And that's actually quite a nice boost for ultra containers. (Original statement was checked and changed, so this isn't really relevant) The second question: Is the guaranteed drop a random item rolled from the rarity, or is it crystals as it used to be till now?
  23. Guaranteed drop in containers is nice, but to clarify: - For example - in case of the exotic item. If I open 300 epic containers and get lucky to open an exotic in... let's say 100th container, do I still get another exotic in the 300th one? If no, does the "unlucky counter" reset at the moment I randomly drop an exotic item? So if I get that exotic in 100th container, I'm guaranteed to open exotic in the 400th one as long as I don't open another exotic before that? (I expect it's the second option, that makes the most sense) - Is the guaranteed drop any item from the category, or is it crystals as it used to be with ultra containers till now (guaranteed 25k crystals)? Other bug fixes are nice ? More splash damage changes, magnum now needs almost a direct hit, that's cool. Scorpion augments interesting changes, might be very powerful now. And now the real deal. Crisis is dead. It's arguably worse than brutus. Not because of the ability, it's still playable, but for the cost of supplies it's not. The damage boost is equal to booster's. The armor boost is still +90%, but defender has +70%. Speed boost decreased as well to 50% (trickster has 40%). It might sound like it makes sense, after all you get to choose one supply boost at a time, but you can only use that one supply. The problem is that unless you are camping, you need all 3 supplies. Even before this change, crisis was quite weak, considering it's an exotic drop. Maybe it's time to move crisis in the garage, available from same rank as hyperion. If it didn't use extra supplies, it could be worth while spamming out the supply change non stop, but with 2 supplies per use it doesn't seem worth compared to any other drone. Time to go back to defender.
