  1. Thank you. I just need to hope this ultra bundle won't be ultra expensive. :x
  2. Agree with removing goldboxes from containers, they aren't necessary in any way, and were mostly just dropped in a private battle for 5k or 10k crystals, moreover, they were used to boost using multiple alt accounts, for a long while. Top 100 gold box leaderboard will be at least a bit more relevant, I hope. Disagree with removing premium from containers. Yes, premium is meant to be a paid feature, but completely removing premium from non-buyers will make the gap very notable, not just with augments, but also with even worse exp:crystals ratio resulting in even weaker equipment. Right now, active player was able to have premium quite often, which is understandable as it removes incentive to buy from shop. Lowering the chances of getting premium would be IMO the better option. This supports "finish missions with as small experience gain as possible and stop playing for today", because you can't really afford to play more. Other changes to containers look cool: - opening a drone, so you try it, same with turrets/hulls? Idk, may work, may not work, we'll see, but interesting to see regardless. - adding more augments to containers also look good, but seeing chance to drop a legendary one is 1%... Hopefully the more common ones are going to be listed as epic, not legendary. I guess it's still good change, as players can get previously unobtainable augments. As someone who doesn't care much about skins, the removal of exotics from containers isn't important for me. I'd personally welcome if animated paints were also removed from normal containers, I'd rather get a useful augment, than a paint. Also wait, so if UC now have 67% chance to drop uncommon reward, and premium, goldboxes and supply sets are removed from containers, then the only uncommon rewards you can get are 10k crystals, 125 repairs or 50 batteries? That's actually not bad, ultras are almost always going to give good rewards unlike the previous 125 mines.

What To Do With 2022 Tankoins?

3 BPs are the best value, with certain rewards. Waiting for possible future mega-ultra offer like last tanki fund might be worth it, if you aren't interested in 3 augments.
  5. Incorrect, each bundle gave you +1 extra chance to win. The more expensive bundles didn't give a higher chance to win, if you bought 2 silver bundles, or bronze+silver or bronze+gold or silver+gold, all of these options have you 2 "tickets" or in other words, 2 chances to win. All your gold bundle did was give 7k tk into the fund, instead of 1k, and you got the other contents of gold bundle like UC, shot effects... You could have just bought the bronze bundle and had the same chance to win. Each bundle bought in the end gave you about 21% chance to win (based on total fund and total number of bought bundles).
  6. You had approximately 21% chance to win around 7200 tankoins. Every bundle you bought gave you additional chance, so people who have bought a lot of silver bundles won multiple times. I don't know if it was possible to win twice (or more times) with just 1 bundle purchase, those who I've seen win twice did buy multiple bundles afaik. On the other hand, I also didn't win, just like you, but I bought a total of 5 bundles. Yep, unlucky, but it was still worth the 4th slot, and 15UC If you have read the discussion we had here back when this just started, you would have known about the possible outcomes and risks you take ?
  7. As a follow up to "what's your chance to win in this", we have finally got the data. In stream, the notepad file shows number of line, which is equal to number of nicknames. Your chance to win was 1155/5537 which is around 21% (the minumum chance was 11% and maximum 34%, you can look at the math why so here) There is also another fun question, how many bronze and silver bundles were bought? I don't actually know how to calculate this without removing gold bundles... You don't have enough data for that, but I'm gonna assume there were only a few sold. All we need now is fund (9244000) and number of participants (5537). Bronze bundles: 3684 Silver bundles: 1854 It's certainly a bit less because some people have purchased also gold bundles, but I think it's close enough. I really hope I'm not wrong on this one, but the numbers excel threw at me add up to the total fund, sooo, it should be fine ? That's quite a lot of silver bundles, I didn't expect people to buy so much, on the other hand, only 3700 bronze bundles?? I mean, that was the best offer you could get on 4th slot, maybe there just isn't enough players :x Actually no... I don't believe he won 14 times with 1 purchase, he most likely bought around 70 bundles (20% chance to win, so 5 bundles on average per win, or 70 bundles for 14 wins), which costed them 420k tk, and getting back 100k. 3500 UC from bundles for 320k, so he paid about 91tk per UC. Not a bad price, but why would someone buy 3500UC... That's enough to open absolutely everything. On the other hand, I bought bronze bundle on 5 accounts, for 4th protection module (and on main cause why not, UC and chance to win), and I didn't win on either of them. I guess unlucky, but it's fine.
  8. Sometime during the day, the time isn't announced yet afaik. Follow the news, or check back on this topic later. PS: sike, get sniped @nikunj04
  9. Not true ? 1000tk isn't that hard to earn for a free player, it's "just" 5 months of challenges, and actually less since you get quite a bit from weekly conts. Also, trick or treat gave you a lot of tankoins if you managed to do 2 rounds, which quite a few tryhards did (I'm one of those, thanks to that I could buy bronze bundle and get 4th slot as free player on alt account). Interested to see results of this fund draw, if there will be some people winning multiple times, or we'll mostly see people win just once.
  10. You mean this one? I don't remember all replies people sent to me earlier and I'm not going to check them just to be sure I don't miss something :P It doesn't change anything on my reply tho, what I said is still objectively correct. Just like 1k tk for 15 UC isn't subjectively good for you.
  11. This is literally the screenshot of what you quoted from me. The quote literally says "Yes, that's the best price you can get on UC at the moment." Not "15UC for 1k is however still good price" I know I said "good price" (the second quote) in my original message, however you didn't even include that part in your quote, so it's pretty confusing for me to reply to something that you didn't even mention originally. If it's not clear, "best price" and "good price" in this context literally mean "cheapest price" or "cheap price", since there are no other products of different quality you could compare this to, you can only compare price of different offers. You can't deny it's cheaper compared to any other offer in shop at the moment, and even if you were to compare it with black friday sale of 50%, UC were 65 tankoins per (unless prices changed, which I'm pretty sure they didn't), it was basically the same price. Saying "good price" could be considered slightly misleading, but at the same time it's not at all. It is certainly a good price when compared to anything else, but might not be good price for YOU, which is however subjective. The offer is objectively GOOD, but it might not be subjectively good for you. If something is not good or affordable for you, then don't spend money on it, that's common sense. Anyway, I contributed my 1k, earned from trick or treat game. 4th protection slot is already a huge win for me, solves my problem of getting 5k tankoins (f2p account).
  12. That does not change anything tho. What I wrote is still correct. At the moment, this is the cheapest UC offer (in case fund reaches necessary milestones to unlock all 15UC.) ? Interesting
  13. Thank you, I still don't understand all those complicated calculations and like half of words you used, but I get what each result means and why. On topic, it would be nice to see number of each bundles bought on the event's site (https://tankionline.com/pages/tanki-sport-season4/) so we can use math to calculate the real profitability of these bundles.
  14. That's 66.6tk per UC, which is equal to 50% sale. Yes, that's the best price you can get on UC at the moment, if you only want to buy UC and nothing else. My post was meant to be a long explanation, I could probably make it shorter, but I felt like the way I wrote it should be easily understandable, even if long to read. If written in short form, I'm afraid many people would not understand it at all. Also, the people dealing with pricing of stuff certainly don't consider giving out tankoins "free", since tankoins are worth money for them and they weren't getting anything in exchange for that. It was plain extra tankoins, they didn't plan to give out for tankisport fund event. However, I think for them it was worth making such extra giveaway, so the remaining players knew they got fair chance to win (since they are ehm... not able to understand that they already had a fair chance and they lose because they simply got unlucky, not because of some YT accounts) Trust me, whoever is in charge of preparing these events is an expert, it's all perfectly planned out and the outcome is always profitable for them. They don't need to change anything, it's already set in a way it will achieve what they aim for. Also... jammer - crisis has been already nerfed by that. Crisis is too expensive for f2p players, and it creates permanent sink for crystals, so only legends can afford to buy supplies to keep using it. Moreover, they are trying to sell more crisis and armadillos, with an affordable price tag, which is smart decision, just not sure if people who spent hundreds will be happy with it ? Tho it's at least a bit more fair - pay more for exclusive early access, and at some point, it'll be cheaper or "free". Uhh, I'll say honestly, I'm not that familiar with probability calculation (however, it's more about the situations where it depends on order), so I try to use simplified approach, which should however be still correct. In this draw, one ticket can be drawn multiple times (at least it was working like this last time, some lucky people won twice with just 1 bundle purchase, I think remember someone going crazy they won 16k by just 1k spent), so I'm going to assume it's the same this time, at least with the way their randomizer 9000 works - it picks a random nickname from a list a number of times, and every time it uses the same list of nicknames, meaning you can be chosen multiple times with 1 ticket. If I understand your formula correctly, it implies that previously won tickets get removed from the pool of drawn tickets? Or is it also including the order of tickets drawn? Because in this case, your (any) ticket had the same probability to be picked in a single draw, which was 1 in (total number of bundles bought), however, the draw was repeated one time per 8 bundles bought, so as we both said, in the end a ticket had 1/8 chance to be drawn. If a player bought multiple bundles, it is the same as if multiple players bought one bundle each, these bundles don't affect each other (which was why YT accounts didn't "take money from players"). So if 8 players each have a chance to win once 1/8, then one player with 8 bundles has the same cumulative chance to win, which is 8 * 1/8 = 1 or in other words 100% Actually, even buying 71 or 80 tickets won't get you a 100% win, why? You are assuming a winning ticket is thrown out and cannot be drawn again, which is not true in this case. Yes, in a case, where winning ticket can't be drawn again, then 71 out of 80 tickets, will result in a 100% winrate with 10 draws, since even in worst situation, after 9 draws there will be only your tickets left to draw from. All of this assumes their randomizer still works the same way like last time.
  15. There is no catch except there is... Depends what you consider a catch. You've already answered it btw, it's the cost of silver bundle. Let me explain by comparing it with last tankisport fund. Last time you could buy a bundle any number of times, and it always costed 1k tk, added 1k tk and gave you 15UC. Now let's say you bought 8 bundles, so you had 8 "tickets" or 8 chances to win. Since the total fund was equal to number of bundles bought multiplied by 1000 tk, and for each 8000tk there was one winner picked, every "ticket" had a 1 in 8 chance to win. Since you had 8 tickets, you statistically had a 100% chance to win. Now, this is just average chance, the trick is you could still win or lose, but if you bought many, many bundles, you had higher chance to break even. Why break even tho - the prize you got were 15 UC per bundle bought, since on average, you were getting all your tankoins back. Now, what about this time? First of all, I'm not going to talk about the gold bundle, it's limited and too expensive for average players, it probably won't be bought in huge amount. Bronze and silver are more important. So, similarly to last fund, you can buy a 1k bundle, which adds 1k to fund and gives you 1 "ticket". However, this time there is pretty much nothing in this bundle, just some supplies. Also, you can only buy it once, so it means you HAVE to take the high chance of losing 1k or low chance of winning 8k (it's not 1 in 8 chance tho, I'll explain why). Now, the silver bundle, this one should cost 6k and add 3k to fund, while giving you 50 UC. If I compare this with UC price, which is 80tk per UC (20k tk bundle available in shop right now), these 50UC at 80tk each would cost 4000 tankoins, out of bundle's 6k price. So you are left with 2k tankoins spent on buying 1 "ticket", which will however add 3k tankoins to fund. Now, this calculation depends on what price of UC you use, it's not very accurate. If you were to use the price of UC right now in shop, it's 130tk per UC, or 6500 for 50, which is more expensive than buying silver bundle. So where is the catch, you can buy either bronze bundle and collect loads of free stuff for reaching fund milestones, or buy UC with silver bundle for even cheaper prize than in shop (well depends, but it's still good deal I guess). Milestones are (or can be) the catch. You need 15m tankoins in fund for everyone to get these prizes. There are two options - either 15k accounts buy bronze bundle, or if less than 15k players decide to buy it, there there need to be some players who will buy one or multiple silver bundles. Now, by buying silver bundle, you are buying a "ticket" for 2k tankoins (you can read the calculation I've done previously, I'm going to use the 80tk/UC price) which is already double the price of first bundle, however, you also add 3k tankoins to fund. I think it's best if I explain this with 2 extreme situations: Now, let's compare the results for both bundle buyers: Bronze bundle: Worst chance 1 in 8.89, 7k profit. Best chance: 1 in 2.96, 7k profit. Silver bundle: Worst chance 1 in 8.89, 6k profit. Best chance: 1 in 2.96, 6k profit. Every other possible situation will give a chance somewhere between these 2 scenarios. Silver bundle buyers have little impact on chance if there are only a few of them bought, and if there are many bought, they do have higher chance to win and in fact, make "free tankoins" (which is not true btw, since you forget that you already compulsorily spent extra 4k on 50UC per "ticket"). If I were to use 3k price for UC included in silver bundle, the "free tankoins" would disappear, and if you'd assume that the UC in silver bundle add no value to it, then you spent 6k for 3k in fund, which means in worst case you have 7.89 in 8.89 chance to lose 6k tankoins, or 1 in 8.89 chance to win 8k (but you only profit 2k). You see how bad are these chance, if you don't care about 50UC included in silver bundle. On the other hand, bronze bundle buyers have either 1 in 8.89 chance to win 8k (which still isn't "100%" return rate like last time), but if there would be many silver bundle buyers, then suddenly, their chance to win can rise up to 1 in 2.96 chance to win, while they still only spent 1k tankoins. From 1 in 8.89 (11%) to 1 in 2.96 (34%). Now it's obviously not going to happen, as many people will buy bronze bundles rather than silver, but every silver bundle bought raises your chance to win 8k tankoins if you bought just one bronze bundle, while buying silver bundles is not worth it, if your goal is to gamble for more tankoins. However, if you wanna buy some UC at quite a good price, while you don't mind taking a risk on return of your tankoins, then you might wanna buy silver bundle(s). In worst case, you are still buying UC cheaper than using the normal UC offers in shop. Now, realistically, is it worth for you? If you don't have 4th slot, have the tankoins for buying bronze bundle, and want to get 4th slot, this is THE BEST offer you were given so far. If the fund reaches further milestones, and you don't have armadillo and crisis yet (or multiple protection slots, if you only have one), and want to get armadillo/crisis/more slots, then buying bronze bundle is even MORE worth it. However, if you already own 4 protection slots, armadillo and crisis, then the only reward you are getting are possibly 15 UC (and normal ones), 3 skins conts and a low chance to win back 8k tankoins, in which case buying bronze bundle depends on your preferences, if you consider these rewards worth 1k tankoins, or if you wanna save them for something else. 15UC for 1k is however still good price, so if you consider this a purchase of 15UC for 1k tankoins and are fine with it, then go ahead. Silver bundle - buy if you want the paints or if you wanna buy more UC at quite a good price, however, you are boosting chance of bronze bundles getting 8k, at your cost. Similar to this is also gold bundle, it offers 150UC at better price than silver bundle, but you are paying even more tankoins for a single "ticket", while boosting the chance of bronze (and silver too I guess) bundle buyers to win something. Again, buy if you want quite cheap UC, and more specifically, if you want those shot effects. Conclusion - this event is insane for free to play players (or light buyers) who accumulated 990 tankoins to buy the bronze bundle, as they are most likely going to get the best value out of this whole thing, while still having a low chance to get quite rich. That is, if these players want more protection slots, armadillo or crisis (and some containers). It's also quite good for bigger buyers who plan to buy UC, they get an ok price for UC, but silver bundle purchase boosts value of bronze bundles, more than it benefits the silver bundle. For big buyers, gold bundle might be worth it, depending on it's price and what you think is worth it. I will personally probably stick only with bronze bundle, maybe also with silver, depending on the number of silver bundles bought so far. (however, I already own all the good prizes, so it's not really worth it, I'll take 3 skins conts and some UC for 1k tho, still good price). I'm quite sad that the 1k bundle is limited to 1 only, since the first bundle already gives you the main prize from fund milestones. Actually, despite the fact you may think these accounts made you lose tankoins, it's not true. The number of winners was determined based on number of bundles bought. So if a youtuber bought for example 80 offers, they added 80 000 tankoins to the fund, which added +10 winners, and they had 80 times 12.5% chance to win 8000 tankoins. It is probably hard to understand, but all it means is simple. They added 80 000 tankoins, and they most likely (on average) also won 80 000 tankoins, meaning they didn't take anything from you, they just won back what they spent. You still had the same chance to win, or lose, regardless of who, or how much they bought. These tankoins, which they didn't spend real money for, were added to the fund, and also taken out of it. Perfectly balanced. Moreover, tanki had an extra drawing, from all the participants who didn't win in first draw, so they had extra chance to win! (which IMO wasn't necessary, but it was nice that they decided to do this, since they literally gave away quite a lot of free tankoins, which players didn't pay for)
  16. I see nothing besides this If it still has 0 cooldown on armor/damage/speed, and lowered cooldown on repair kit and mines, I'll actually consider using it as base drone, instead of crisis. It's already not completely useless, but still sucks when compared to the rest of updated drones, hopefully this change will make it viable. Oh, also major hopper changes which... I don't really understand what they mean ?
  17. It's called constructive feedback, in case you didn't know. :P Seeing reactions from many players, I'd say that the mechanic to get sent back instead of forward is the worst of the whole minigame. You have a chance to keep getting sent back over and over which is just cruel and you are only gonna get negative feedback and complaints while achieving nothing, since first island gives only little rewards everyone is supposed to get for free. It would be a lot better to remove the chance to get sent back 2 islands and instead change the rolls as following: (random numbers, it's just an example) Chance to move forward by 1 (high, maybe 50%) Chance to move forward by 2 (low, maybe 30%) Chance to move forward by 3 (very low, maybe 20%) This way you will need a definitive number of steps, or lollipops, energy or whatever resource to reach the destination, but if you got lucky, you might get there faster. Now, obviously this would need some balancing, just adding a number of islands so the average "lollipops per round" stay unchanged would solve this problem completely, while keeping the LUCK factor, removing most of frustration and keeping the intended mechanics of this game (you would be able to finish 1st round f2p, second round only by catching tonn of goldboxes and further ones only by spending money). Other than that, I think the game is quite balanced so that you are very likely to finish first round if you do most of your daily missions and actually give a chance to complete two rounds to the biggest tryhards.
  18. The game makes money from selling stuff, not a big surprise. I'm also not a fan of this, but what can I do, I'd also rather have only cosmetic items being sold for money. Yes, the announcement is not entirely clear, and IMO it might be better to explain that it's almost impossible to reach past second round without buying offers, but they can still get some free stuff just by completing missions. Not sure if players would be "happier", but they chose this option. Yep, I'm guessing they figured out, that this is more profitable, after all, why would they make this, and not what you proposed. Makes sense? Giving "everyone" (affordable for many) crisis means noone wants crisis anymore, and there is no incentive to get it from ultras, so no money spent. The idea behind this event is similar to esport bundles, but I liked esport bundles more, as that one was "accesible" for many more players, who would only spend a little on 1-2 bundles, already get ultra containers for better price than usually, and have chance to get everything back, or even more. This is is unfortunately really only for people who have the money to buy 80-100k tankoins. PS: Crisis possible without buying, if you catch enough lolipop boxes?... ?
  19. Yep, it seems it's hard, if not impossible to finish second round without buying special offers. If you think about it tho, crisis was always a drone intended to be obtained by buying, so it would make no sense to give out crisis drones to many players basically for free. I get what you mean and sort of agree, but it was never actually said, you can finish everything without buying offers from shop, announcement just tells you about options to get lolipops and possible rewards. I hope I make sense here, Actually, I disagree here. Think about it, if the game sells ultra containers, which are the only way to get crisis, then giving crisis for free, to almost everyone is a small brain idea. But wait, so what this minigame offers you, as a free to play player? You should be able to finish the first round, by completing missions daily, which you probably already do because of challenge, weekly missions, shards, etc... On top of this, you are getting lolipops, with no extra work, which are probably going to get you a little bit of stuff (I've seen rewards with 100-200 batteries, some goldboxes, around 50 tankoins and little crystals). You would be getting all of this, by doing the regular stuff. In short, yes, but no. The premium stuff, like skins, crazy amount of tankoins and crisis are meant for buyers. Free to play players can still get some bits for literally just doing missions everyday, which is already great. A little bit of math: It seems that you need around 220 lolipops, however, since there is random element of getting thrown back, or forward, it might be less or more - maybe 200, maybe 250... You should be able to get 288, from doing all 3 missions every day (24 days x 3 missions x 4 lolipops), which is certainly enough for first round, and almost certainly not enough for second round. Even with lolipop golds is seems quite hard, as you'd probably need over 120 lolipop golds, and maybe even 150 or 180, if very unlucky. Quite balanced in my opinion.

  22. Was very surprised by this, it's getting close to crisis in speed, but you can also use armor with it, often much more useful than even higher speed. Price reduction on some drones was good, maybe reduce the price of other drones as well, proportionally to unlock rank Stat changes to drones are IMO small, can't tell how much impact they have: - sprinter felt like a great drone already, just pickup flag and ezgg - supplier still seems too weak, not sure if changing the duration would be good enough, maybe change it to X% of closest teammates? So if X is 25%, then in 8v8 match, activating supply would give the supply to 2 other teammates. This way it's equally useful in every team size, and this X% could depend on microupgrades, let's say at 0/20 the drone gives supply to 15% of team, while at 20/20, it gives to 20, or 30% of team. When testing this drone after this update dropped, I realized the worst mechanic is it's range or effect. It's so inconvenient to make sure you are within range of drone to use a supply, so why not replace that mechanic with the one I proposed. - booster change probably good I have no idea what shaft and rail changes mean, but shaft seem to be both a short, and long range turret now. I spent way too much crystals upgrading the now cheaper drones and barely used them. sad

    eSports Tanki Fund

You are fine to guess, but what you said is personally biased. By chance, it was equally likely that they got lucky and won more (tk "taken away"), or unlucky and won less (tk "added"), so the correct guess would be that they won back exactly the same amount which they spent. Since they certainly bought many bundles, statistically it makes such outcome more likely. In other words, your guess is like guessing a coin flip. I understand that for you it's frustrating, maybe you participated, but didn't win, but those accounts did not make your chances worse. Chances of players winning were never affected, as your chance of winning is based just on what you spent. The only thing that was affected was that with more total purchases by community, there is higher chance for you to get either very lucky, or unlucky, rather than breaking even. If your goal was to break even (like mine), just purchasing paints and UC for "free" (since if you win back what you spent, it makes all those UC basically free), then I'd understand. Then again, people who bought only 1 or 2 bundles, entered the giveaway knowing they are at high risk of losing and getting nothing in return, while players who maybe bought 8 or 16 bundles had a much higher chance to break even. I'd say that "E-sport bundles were basically a 50% sale on tankoin purchases", which sounds like a win-win for everyone. PS: I bought 8 bundles and won twice, yes, that means I got above average luck. I just wanted to break even.
