Wrong, majority doesn't win. With 15.4% chance to win, you win on average 1 in 6-7 funds (per pack purchase). One of the rare times I see somebody who understands how it works. It's true short-term it's basically condensing the scattered tankoins from multiple accounts onto a few with more. At best he earned up to 4k tk from the free sources recently, which is 4 funds. So far we had 3, next one will be the last one for him on accounts which didn't win yet. Accounts which won at least once will be able to continue purchasing fund bundles for a very long while. Fund is still one of the best value purchases for people who want to spend money. This one was of course worse than last 2, but it's still quite a good purchase considering you have a decent chance to win so much. The next best purchase is probably battle pass (if you don't own the skin yet) and the event passes for both UC and the skin.

My fav part of the fund. Players complaining they didn't win, even tho the chance was obviously low and they knew from the start. Funny. This time she said the number of bought bundles in stream, so it's super easy to calculate the chance. 18449 bundles and 2846 winners, which is 15.4% chance to win. As for my personal stats, I didn't win on the only f2p account I actually care about, for 4th or 5th time in row ? I always entered aware this might happen, so don't worry. To be fair, I don't think I need tankoins anymore, so they will probably just get used on more funds. Cg to winners I guess, please think twice before spending them all on random stuff.

If you consider 1.5x almost the same as 2x, then sure. 1,5x more expensive than month ago, and actually... 1,5x more expensive than the old prices with speed ups. If you also consider speed ups, then the old system was actually more expensive. I agree with you. This one is sad ? At least those are only modules, doing this to paints, turrets or hulls would be horrible. Fun fact. If you would upgrade a module in 30% MU + 50% SU sale before, it would cost you more than upgrading the same module now, during a 30% sale. Yes, you had an option to slowly upgrade it, which took you over a year and at 30% sale at best. In that case you paid only 66% of current price during a 30% sale. If you decide to upgrade your modules during a 50% sale (usually 3 per year), you pay around 7% more (compared to upgrading once per sale in the old system), for instant upgrade. Modules were moved to be a late-game crystal sink, which is actually good for new players, as they need to focus only on turrets, hulls and drones. The idea is nice, but sadly the issue of legacy accounts with protections at lower ranks might be a problem. It will be not tho... Not more than youtubers playing on low accounts with infinite tankoins. And the occasional buyers are also not an issue, because they rank quickly. The upgrades are so expensive for a low rank player, it's almost never worth to upgrade modules, I believe this will have almost minimal impact on gameplay unlike Mk7 conversion. Well... except for some specific cases, but these cases were already an issue in the past, so not much changed. In my opinion, this change is a possible problem only for the transition at before-General, when MM matches you with higher rank players and also the sudden unlock of all protection modules at once, creating massive sink, with very little income. I guess that's still an issue of MM, not modules. I'm curious, non-legends - did you notice any change due to the update so far? Since modules weren't available for a while, there may already be a large decrease of protections at lower ranks.

The price of MUs is already updated on wiki (pre-update prices are in a spoiler at the bottom, so you can compare, etc.). https://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades_of_Modules The total price was increased by 50%, from around 830k to 1.26m, but (Akame mentioned it too) this will still be cheaper than old system with speed-ups. I guess we at least had few months of cheap upgrades and even during a 50% sale. Now the interesting part, you can still save some crystals if you do certain upgrades today, before the update. (haha, bit over 4 hours left) If you can't be bothered to read or try to understand, just trust me, there are some upgrades which are cheaper at the moment than they will be from tomorrow, even during a 50% sale. 1) Players under General rank who have some modules and can only micro upgrade them. (comparing the price now, to the new price during a 50% sale) 2) Players at general rank or higher. (same, comparing to a 50% sale) If you plan on to buy/upgrade stuff in a 30% sale, it might be worth to spend even more right now, but that's up to you. I'm quite sure about these results, but as usual there can always be a mistake, so use the info at your own risk, thanks.

Good point, they start as 5%, so I'm assuming they will be 5% in MU off battles. Sounds very sad ?

The fact that chance to win is independent from the number of purchased bundles is one of the key "mechanics" of most, if not all funds so far (maybe the first few were different). You are not new in tanki and also active on forum, this has been mentions many times and even if you didn't see any of those posts, the mechanic is really self-explanatory. That annoys me the most. You should be aware of what you are writing and not spread incorrect, potentially misleading information. You didn't do it on purpose, but you still did. Well if there was anything they didn't notice, it was your false claim ? I didn't pay too much attention to the fund recently, but we are almost at ANOTHER set of 3 ultra containers. And the next million is smoky pulsar, nice... or well...
-
Wrong. Not that I'm aware of. Without any unexpected situations this fund will most likely end at 24m in my opinion. Sad, but what can we do. I'm still buying it on accounts which won in the past, following my "statistically free" approach. Or well... statistically 200 tk profit per fund.

Yep, the token gave around 3.7k tankoins, so I guess most players only collected 3k of that. This is the 3rd fund since, so most of accounts are drained. Some players have certainly collected all 3.7k, earned more from missions and challenges and also got 300 from survey and 150 from mobile token. That is enough for 4th fund, but there will certainly be less of them. Then only those who won will be able to participate in more funds, unless we see a token of apology again. With ~15% win rate in funds, that's approx. 50% of players who win at least one fund and is able to buy more. On the other hand, some of the remaining 50% might buy it with real money, but certainly not many. I'm still hoping to see this fund reach skin container, but I guess we are slowly losing hope as the progress is very slow. Maybe this weekend it jumps by another 10 mil as more players come online, but it's not looking good. The tankoin rate will go down more and more and probably stabilize somewhere under half a million per day (judging from old funds before tokens), but that's not gonna get us even close to 30-40m. I guess only another token of apology can "save" us.

Just noticed it says sledgehammer and looked through posts if somebody else had same idea. I assume it's for anvil shells.

Mostly a wiki editor. I believe a lot of players play the game for at least a year. In most cases it's already worth, but of course I understand they might not have the tankoins to afford this, because they are just playing casually. In most cases tanki funds are still the best offer one can get, for example in this one you can get (assuming it gets finished) 3 module slots, so a new player would get all 4 slots for just 1k and on top so many other items. If you are going for one specific item and it's not in this fund and you are not sure you'll be able to earn enough tankoins for next opportunity, then you probably want to skip this fund. However, after removing augments from challenges, they aren't that good anymore (unless you want the skin) and funds are even better choice. Yea... my vision is long term. Also, I can relate to disappointed players as I've participated in 4 funds on a f2p alt account and didn't win yet, so that's 4k tk loss so far. The alt account situation is interesting. I'm very positive the fund is actually boosted by REAL players with only 2-3 alt accounts, since there's thousands of them and they just get multiplied easily to thousands. The few players with ~100 accounts are eye-catching, but in reality, they are a drop in the ocean. I'm very curious what will happen in 2 more funds, as that's when the tokens of apology run dry (unless we get more) and only alt accounts who have won the funds will be able to purchase more funds. The number of alt accounts should be decreased to about 50%, and those will be able to continue basically forever. This is why the big token of apology has such a long lasting consequences. Or maybe these alt accounts will get baited to buy the 3k bundle? It's not terrible, but that one is an average tankoin loss.

Nothing, I spent my time to write it because looking at previous comments I think many people won't look any further into the fund than "omg we aren't getting 15 broken augments for 1k tk, this fund is trash, why do you even bother???" If you know how tanki funds work, I don't need to explain this. If not, check the spoiler. It explains why it is statistically free, even tho you spend 1000 tankoins, if you participate in multiple funds, you are statistically guaranteed to keep your tankoin balance intact. This one is quite obvious. First bundle costs you 1k tankoins. You get one ticket. Second bundle costs you 3k tankoins. You get one ticket. Third bundle costs you 20k tankoins. You get one ticket. Each of these 3 tickets gives you equal chance to win ONE share of the tanki fund, which will be close to 7200 tankoins in this one. The chance to win will be at least 12.5% and most likely 15% - 17% due to the increased chance thanks to the extra 1 million tankoin bonuses in the fund itself and second and third bundle. Let's use 15%. If you bought the first bundle, you will receive on average 7200 x 15% = 1080 tankoins. If you bought the second bundle, you will receive on average 7200 x 15% = 1080 tankoins. If you bought the third bundle, you will receive on average 7200 x 15% = 1080 tankoins. Wait what?? You get on average the same amount of tankoins per bundle?? Yes. Each ticket is the same, so the more expensive tickets are worse value than the first bundle. So in fact, buying the first bundle is best choice to return your tankoins, the second bundle gives you ultra containers at a price comparable with the other cheapest options of purchasing ultra containers, but I think it's not worth for a free to play player. Now, "slightly less worth to buy the small one if your goal is winning tankoins" was talking about something else, while it probably wasn't clear (even tho I mentioned right after that in brackets: "compared to previous funds") What I meant is the first, 1k bundle is less worth to purchase in this tanki fund, than it was in last tanki fund, because of the change to the second 3k bundle. I'll explain how does the second bundle impact the chance to win. Now, I noticed this fund will last for about a week longer than birthday fund, so I think we have decent chance to complete it.

Wow, I'm not gonna comment too much on the issues everyone seems to have, the rewards are good considering they are statistically close to free. I don't need more pulsars, no thank you. Hunter's driver augment for free will already be pain. The 3 important changes: Obviously 50m fund. I don't know if we are finishing this one, BUT the second and third change might make it possible. 2990 tk second bundle. This change is insane. The price, containers and tankoins added to fund are halved, but you are getting an extra fund ticket for half the price. I can't think of what the calculation ends up as, because it depends on the ratio of these bundles, but it's certainly more worth to buy second bundle and it's slightly less worth to buy the small one if your goal is winning tankoins. (compared to previous funds). I'll still most likely not buy it, but if people were purchasing the second bundle previously, it'll be even more popular this time. The average price for the 20 UC in the bundle is 75 tankoins per UC (that's almost the best price you can get, ever). +1m tk "gifts". They are really a huge change, if we reach 46m tk, the fund itself adds 5m more, which roughly covers the amount given to esport players. Winners will still be getting around 7.2k, but the chance to win will be slightly higher. Personally, I'm happy if I get the skin container, don't need anything else.

The number of bundles purchased wasn't shared this time, directly or indirectly. Last funds you could see the number of lines in the notepad document with all participants, and since one line = 1 participant/bundle, it was easy. This time, the number of lines in the notepad wasn't displayed, either they did it on purpose, or just had different settings randomly. Since we don't know the total number of bundles, we can't calculate the average chance of win per bundle bought, and neither we can calculate approximately how many of each bundle was purchased. Sad ? From my personal guess/estimation, the average chance to win was about 17%, however, it might easily by inaccurate with error anywhere up to +-5% IMO.

If overdrives are off... you can't use overdrive. Something is certainly sus Also where more golds :(

? 100 candy, thanks, that's really good.

Omg, that's so lucky, decent rolls and no -5. Curious how far you can get for free. At this rate, the 604 free lollipops could get you to 4th checkpoint. Well, that's unlikely, but it would be a lot of tankoins.

I think it's good and balanced it counts mission stars. Just look at requirements of other missions, even the most annoying one (win 39 battles), would only give you around 100 stars, if you get 3 stars per battle. (or 200 with premium). The 999 star mission would be almost 10 times more difficult! Also it most likely explains, why stars from weekly missions were decreased. Looking forward to see more data on this minigame ? At this point, the math behind it is more fun for me, than the minigame itself.

No classic DM mode on halloween maps? Disappointed ? Can't complain about the rest of stuff, all nice and cool, but that's not what I was looking forward to. I know there's a CP wasp fire mode in halloween map, but I'm not interested in that either.

That's a nice reward for grinders! Much more appealing
-
Last 2 funds had on average around 20-21% chance to win, or 1 in 5. This fund may be different, since the rewards are much better for individual players and I assume more people will be buying 990tk bundle. Without explaining in detail, that decreases everyone's chance to win by a little. I'd guess this time it might be 17% chance.

I wonder what will happen to number of players complaining about insufficient supply gain. IMO, armadillo has much higher value than crisis for an average f2p user, because you only need to upgrade it once and it will provide you permanent resistance. This feels surreal, fund is 760k tankoins away from a 990tk price for armadillo. Tho, I think the bigger challenge for everyone will be saving enough crystals to upgrade it. After reading pages of the crisis discussion, I don't think we are going to see a crisis nerf anytime soon. It is a strong drone, but it's strength comes from supply usage, which balances it. at the moment it is fairly balanced for the insane supply usage.
