Well, forgive me if I've insulted you, but I found your thoughts on the matter to be very far-fetched.

Well, the thing is, most average computer users are blissfully unaware of these settings anyway. When you upgrade to Windows 10 and choose the 'express' install option, all settings are enabled. Only the more aware computer users will choose the 'custom' install option and disable the privacy settings. You're joking, right? From both a moral and legal standpoint, Microsoft would never discriminate against users. And besides, if they did, people would notice straight away and the company would run into huge problems. What you're failing to understand is that Microsoft knew that some people would disable the privacy settings when they released Windows 10, - why else would they put the privacy settings menu there in the first place?

Anybody here watched Interstellar? Interstellar had a pretty interesting portrayal of a black hole. I'm not saying it was accurate, but it was a brilliant representation.

Appealing to public needs... that's the whole point of companies. I'm not sure where you're going with this argument anyway - my point was that Edge is a worthy competitor to Chrome, such so that I might consider using Edge as my main browser soon.

When it says it will 'reset your ID', it means your advertising ID, not your Microsoft account or anything like that. The advertising ID just contains info about your computer and location, etc, which is useful to advertisers. What I'm trying to say is, you may as well switch that option off - it'll only allow you more privacy. I'm not sure what your point is regarding 'what I have done'. All I did was disable settings to allow me more privacy. As for these 'bugs' and 'issues', I haven't had a single problem with Windows 10 yet, and I've been running it daily for the past week now.

Erm, it's my computer, I am the admin. And yes, other operating systems have privacy settings too - both Windows 7 and 8 had targeted advertising which could be disabled. I'm not sure how Google Chrome 'covering it up well' is a good thing. I'm speaking as somebody who has used Chrome for years, and I'm still considering switching to Edge. Also, clarify something for me. How are web browser companies pushed to do things by the media? If anything they're pushed to improve by their competitors.

Well, it's pretty simple to go to 'Privacy' in the settings menu and disable these features. In fact it was the first thing I did following the upgrade. As for your comment about Edge, it's actually turning out to be a pretty fast browser, and when extension support is released, I'll be considering it over the memory-hogging Chrome.

I left it a month to allow the main issues to be fixed, and then upgraded last weekend. Went from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Pro and all went smoothly with no problems at all.

~£670 is a reasonable price for the components listed. If you look around, you might be able to get them closer to £600 though. As for the graphics card, it's a relatively low-spec model, and I wouldn't expect it to run recent games very well. If possible, try to spend more on the graphics card, however the other components seem fine.
