We will also get to deal with all the players who just want to finish their daily mission rather then doing a real battle. Right now those people can open or join small battles on some remote server and collect their boxes. Won't be possible with matchmaking 10 vs 10 battles. Expect a lot of fluctuation on the players present, and a lot of frustration for players not part of a battle group..

I sincerely hope it is.. :P

Stats started working on 29th Oct 2015. So that is 4574 hours in 646 days, i.e. 7.08 hours per day. LMAO. Edit: counting only working days (450 in this case), we get to an average of 10.16 hours. So this guy is basically having a 100% job (+some overtime) playing TO..

The details have not been announced, but the basic intention is that the system chooses the battle for you. Even if there are additional settings (like map preferences), it'll end up with the players having less choice and control over the kind of battle they enter. Given the poor changes in the battle creation system over the last few years (all taking away possibilities from the players to create/enter the battle they want at little to no added value for the players), that shouldn't surprise anybody..
-
Agree it's already happening to a degree, but I'm afraid it might get substantially worse than that with matchmaking in place..

Yeah, I think the introduction of the Battle button was a totally unnecessary change, everybody was happy before. After introducing that, normal battles became very unpopular, many players moved to PRO battles. So they had to force people back into normal battles through the change of the daily missions. Now the next screw up is heading our way in the form of the matchmaking system. Gotta love it.. We'll see. A major issue I see that I wouldn't want to be put into a random map and team. I know it was announced to still keep custom battles to choose from separately, but I have no doubt TO will force players into using the matchmaking system if it proves to be too unpopular. All in all, it's a truly great strategy to make current players happy and attract tons of new players.. :P
-
We'll see when matchmaking gets live. You do realise that if it was implemented like that, there is no difference to what we currently have.. No need to go around insulting people. I swear it irritates me. Oh well, typical internet warrior..

Welcome back. That's not the only poor update you've missed. And it will get even worse: once Matchmaking is introduced, you won't even be able to select the battle / map in which to play from the existing list..

Not really. My equipment is M4 since years now (the Hunter in my garage with tons of dust on it is also M4, though I never use it). The protection modules I use mostly are fully MUd. Rather than MUing more modules, I prefer to amass more crystals to shock other players..
-
Almost. In the last two years I only bought the Rail alteration and I kept MUing some of my protection modules (but only when there was 50% sale). If I hadn't bought anything, I'd already be above 5 Million.
-
4.5 Million and counting. And sadly, Tanki still hasn't been able to convince me spending any money on this game.. :P

Preferred strategy for a formerly nice game ruined by bad updates and mindless drugging: - Enter game once a day, complete 1 mission, claim one mission, exit the game - Collect 14k crystals + tons of drugs once a week (enhanced mission chain rewards this summer) ;)
-
For Rail, I think a good Smoky player is the worst. More difficult to say for hulls, that really depends on the situation.. Striker can be a real nuisance (death out of nowhere), but can be dealt with by regularly changing positions as a defender..
-
Awesome this thread is still going and the list is kept up to date. The numbers are mind-boggling.. :P

Thumbs up for this summary. Seems like poor decision making to treat non-Russian communities so badly. Oh well, not the first mistake they made..

is it possible that you can get to legend rank without paying?

Never spent a penny on the game. Back in 2014 I reached Gismo rank (was the highest) after about 14 months of playing. Nowadays I'd say it's become a bit more difficult, but as long as you have clear goals and some patience, it's well doable. Don't participate in all out drug wars, they're a waste of supplies / crystals.. Have similar feelings about this game. Not spending real money (would be easy for me as an adult) has always posed a nice challenge. But some of the recent changes have turned this into a rather painful undertaking. Currently still hanging on for the increased mission chain rewards this summer, but not sure motivation will be sufficient to continue playing after that. Really depends on how the game evolves.. -
Most players are clueless, that's why. Nope, you can't, not since the brilliant move of removing all non-Russian servers. Unless you're fluent in Russian.. :D
-
Sure it does. Skill and playing style play a role, but buying Premium gives a free 33% bonus on Cry/Ep (not to speak of higher quantity of drugs + quality of equipment). You can't judge that just based on your example.

Full rating list updated with latest stats as of today 12th July 2017, 20:00 CET. 88 players now in the list, 3 are new. For the 85 existing players, 78 lost rating positions, 7 gained positions. So obviously most players keep playing worse and worse with the rating falling - or maybe they're just not spending enough hard cash on the game..? :D New rating list: Players added:

Fantastic update, taking drugging to a whole new level (didn't think that was possible..). Have seen insane amounts of supplies in use today. Naturally so, since the only way to fight tanks with overdrive on is to.....drug even more. But I gotta say it's great if you happen to be on the *right* side, with this new feature allowing to slaughter the opponent team in truly brutal fashion.. Thumbs down. Sad to see what is becoming of this game..
-
Nope, I'll make an update in the coming days.. :)

Actually I've misread your formula initially - understanding it better now, I've got more basic problems with it. So your formula is.. ( sum of EP in all battles within an hour + K/D ) x #Battles which is equivalent to.. Total EP earned x #Battles + K/D x #Battles So playing for example 4 15-min-battles in an hour, player ratings gets 4x higher than if they played one big battle lasting 1h..? Doesn't make sense..
-
You hop from battle to battle, just drugging doublepower and not getting killed, So let's say you go to 50 battles killing 1 each => what rating would your formula yield? The point is that your formula doesn't consider crystals earned, so the player can jump from battle to battle without fighting it out. The emphasis in the current rating formula might be too much, but I think the Cry/EP ratio is a key factor to be considered.
-
The rating we have now is not good for many reasons, but I think this one would be far worse. Apart from it being too easy to boost (just hop from battle to battle, killing a few opponents), it rewards heavy supply use (the more drugs, the faster one makes EP). At least the current rating doesn't seem to be directly dependent on amount of supplies used. It should be possible to get good rating playing non-supply battles, which is currently the case.

Go and play with Google translate, and you'd find the technology is not quite up to the task..
