You should be able to dodge a rail shot, if you see it in time, but it seems to cover a greater area in 3D space than the thin line we see. I've been killed by rail shots that missed by a full tank length, or still hit even though I clearly ducked behind cover. I agree the the auto aim for rail and smokey is a little too good, but thunder not so much, well at least my thunder, that seems to shot over everyone's head. Then you see the thunders that never ever miss. Strange how I can go head to head with my m3 hornet, m3 thunder, emerald paint against an m2 hornet, m2 thunder, and green paint and lose 9 out of 10 times. Funny things keep happening in this game, but according to Tanki, mults, cheaters and saboteurs are not an issue in this game. This image comes to mind.

I guess the Russians aren't happy either LOL. Makes me wonder who's feedback they where reading. Maybe they need to find a better decision maker. We keep blaming the developers when really we should be blaming the person in charge of making such stupid decisions.

I keep seeing the same arguments over and over. I sum it up simply. Yes the flipping was controllable yes it is better not to flip rail and smokey did not cause this issue, the turret update did the turrets reaction to being hit is what caused this issue rail and smokey did not need to be nerfed to fix this Tanki developers tried to fix the issue by altering rail and smokey impact instead of fixing what really needed to be fixed Tank developers made the wrong decision and in the process angered a lot of players , again and lastly Tanki developers only care about attracting new naive players with money in their pocket and don't care anything for those of already here, so we are just wasting our words.

I strongly believe that reducing rail and smokey's impact has nothing to do with fixing the "flip" issue. If it did why not reduce that impact of hammer as well, it flips more tanks then smokey did. Also the problem isn't with rail and smokey's impact it was with the new targeting of the turrets. Instead of fixing the impact effect on the turrets they chose the lazy way out and simply nerf the guns. They will never tell us the real reason but I'm sure we will find out someday, after some more update and re-balances. By the way, I wonder what effect this is having one the players of their beloved Star Series. Real smart timing to change the 2 guns used over at SLTV just as the new season is starting. I wonder if this is the real reason. Here is what I think happened. they didn't want players flipping over and having to self destruct all the time. Doesn't look very good, to the audience, when the "stars" of tanki have to keep self destructing. Bad publicity and kinda boring to watch. they didn't have enough time to re-program the turrets targeting subroutine, to remove or reduce the effects of getting hit (impact) the quickest way to fix it is to reduce the impact force on the 2 guns used. It only takes a minute or 2 to change some values in a configuration file.

Wasps and rails getting flipped was a direct result of the fact the turrets are now affected by impact. So why take away impact force from rail and smokey? And why not hammer, it was doing more flipping then smokey. The solution was real simple, remove the effects of impact from the turrets. the impact was useful more a lot more than flipping wasps and hornets, it was useful for knocking off aim of heavier hulls, now that is not as affective. put the impact force back in the weapons and remove it's effect from the turrets, real simple and everyone is happy. Or was the whole thing done for some different reason that we are not being told about?

This only started after the auto-aim on turrets. Instead of removeing the impact force of the guns, remove the impact effect from the turrets. Allow damage only, not impact effect on the turrets. The flipping only affected wasps and hornets, but removing the impact force from rail and smokey effects their usefulness against all hulls. Really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You solve 1 problem but create another. The problem was not the amount of impact force being dealt out but the amount of impact being absurbed, by the turret. How hard is it to figure that out?

You just did. ;) OK I will refine the parts about grabbing gold boxes. A "gold box hunter" is not the same as the player that just joined a battle and was lucky enough to get a gold. This player will probably stay and fight depending on his/her integrity. I still feel it is wrong to move from battle to battle simply "hunting" gold boxes. It is disrespectful to the other players in those battles for two reasons. In my opinion the right to grab the gold box belongs to the members of the teams in the battle up to that point or those intending on staying the rest of the battle, not "gold box hunters". I feel that gold box hunters are a hindrance or detriment to the team they join because they are not there to help, they are there for their own selfish reasons.They rarely stick around after the gold drops and while they are there, they are not much better then a mult taking up valuable space. I have included "gold box hunters" in this topic because I feel these players ruin the game for others. I also feel it is also partly Tanki's fault for promoting "gold box hunter of the week". Again it comes back to RESPECT or lack there of. If players had more respect for others, we wouldn't even need this topic. Unfortunately many of today's youth are very self centered, selfish and have little respect for anyone or anything. Social media doesn't help this situation because it is easy to be selfish and disrespectful when you never see the other person face to face. Why is cyber bullying at an all time high? Everyone is so tough hiding behind a keyboard, especially when their is no punishment for your actions. When a person is held accountable for his/her actions, it makes you think about what you are about to do. And if by writing this I can help change the attitude of just one person, it was worth my time. :)

Well I think you covered it all. If the guy had not begged to have the gold box maybe things may have ended differently for him. People have different opinions about the gold box hunters, which is fine. The one thing that seems to be the root of most of the issues discussed in this topic is a lack or respect of others. :(

So I guess you are ok with being in a long battle only to have some guy come in, grab the gold box and leave without contributing anything to the battle. If you say you are, you're a lair. The players that fight hard in that battle are the ones that have the right to dictate who should not get the gold.

As @KrystenHunt16 has suggested, I added a section about SUPPLY HOARDERS. SUPPLY HOARDERS: a player that needlessly grabs all the supplies. Sometimes they will even block or push you to prevent you from getting supplies. If you do not need the supply don't pick it up, unless your are trying to stop the enemy from getting it. Just think before you take it, a team mate may need it. Remember, you don't get any points or XP from picking up supplies. Think about those supplies. Will picking up, when I don't really need it, help my team by preventing the enemy from getting it? Do one of my team mates need it? Do I need that speed up for defense or does the guy running flags need it? I also added some info to the part about protecting your passwords. This harvesting of information may be for other more serious reasons. If you use the same login name and password on other sites, they now have access to that as well. and a caution... CAUTION: Don't become so obsessed with a player that set out to ruin the game that you yourself become a saboteur or mult. Remember your duty is to the team you joined.

I saw that player shooting his/her own players several times. That is sabotage and should be reported in the "Game Violators" section. Read the rules in that section so you use the correct procedure for reporting and then post the video with references to times of clear sabotage. He/she should get a ban for that. Well done. However I would change the name of your series to something else, like Tanki Online: A Saboteur Named..... That's just me, but it is up to you. Caution: Don't become so obsessed with trying to capture these people on video that you neglect your duty to your team. I'm not saying you did that, you did it right, but the caution is for everyone including myself.

The whole idea of buying "bling" is actually not a bad idea. A little customization would be nice. It would give something for all the Gens. to spend their crystals on.

Seeing as we will probably not be getting any improved systems any time soon we need to educate as many people as possible on the importance of using the systems we do have, and teaching them how to use them. This is what we are doing with this topic, myself and many others are well aware that new and improved systems are needed and we continue to improve our ideas and methods for bringing these issues to light. The more the word of this campaign spreads, the more effective it becomes. There is strenght in numbers. Making a Difference One Report at a Time.

You can capture a video and report them. You can inform them that you are capturing video and will be reporting them. Sometimes this alone is enough to stop them. You can use the "/vote players_name" it has been working more frequently lately. Make sure to ask others to vote as well. It takes multiple reporters to draw the attention of a moderator. I usually put "/vote player_name" sent in the chat as well. Sometimes the offender will leave. As a last effort you can ask everyone to leave the battle and stop feeding the saboteurs.

Does anyone know where to get the sounds for the game? I would like to be able to use them in videos. I'm looking for rank-up, explosions and weapon sounds etc. I have used existing videos and pulled the sounds from those but they are not good enough quality.

This "campaign" has and continues to be a success. This topic is about educating players about this problem and if it helps prevent a few games from being ruined, I consider that a success as well. If you look on the first post, at the bottom, there is a link to an idea to help combat this issue. KICK2 is something that the game designers and developers would need to add, and is kept separate from this topic for that reason. This topic only covers things that players can do to combat this issue and has nothing to with Tanki and does not require any support from them.

Nice story, good thing you got the gold box. Did the guy with the video report those players? I doubt it, because it sounds more like a Raid set up.

I agree but, sometimes bad thing happen to good people, this is life. We are keeping this topic alive in the hopes that someday the devs will hear our plea. After all they finally did something for all the XP guys that complained about their games getting ruined, now what about the rest of us?

I have no need for the rail, already have an m3 at about 25%. Don't need a Hornet already have an m3 past 50%. And I'm not renting a paint for 12 days, at least not for 200000 crystals. You know if they had asked us a month ago if we would be interested in this, we could have told them NO and saved them a bunch of time. Oh well maybe someday Tanki will learn to ask what players want before they do it, instead of releasing things and saying "What do you think?" when really it is already too late. But I doubt it.
