I have added some other ideas to this topic. "Let's Discuss Mults and Saboteurs !" I put them there because they don't fit this topics theme. They are ideas for the Developers.

I have been involved in the New-Team Kick idea. You can read the details over in that topic. It takes care of a lot of issues to do with players and their lack of playing for the team they joined. However I have been thinking about what is causing the majority of the problems. I think the blue boxes cause a really big problem. Many people only join battles to grab crystals. I also see a very large number of players complaining about supplies users as well. I have been trying to think of a way to combat these issues. One idea I had was to rearrange some the battle creation options and default settings. Remove the PRO Battle option, and make game parameters available to all. Players would be able to create the battles anyway they want with out having to pay to do it. Have the blue boxes and supplies turned off by default. (This is only an idea. If the default was left as is, those that want would still be able to turn these off at battle creation time.) Add a Parkour and Training mode. In this mode no damage is done to your health but the effects of being hit are the same. Basically the damage of your turret is turned off but the bunch is not. Add the ability to select which hulls, turrets, and paints are allowed in a battle. This would satisfy the XP guys/gals. Additionally I would suggest limiting the number of times you can enter the garage and use pause. Maybe only once for either every 15 minutes. I see people (I was going to say players but they are not playing LOL) using this feature as a way to sabotage and mult. They enter the garage and wait for the system to boot them back to the game and they go straight back to the garage. They do the same with pause. Doing this cuts down on there deaths as well. As for blue boxes, they are a big source of "income" for many players, but this creates the problem of people only being concerned about collecting them and not thinking about team mates. Should there be a limit on when and how many you can grab? Maybe just eliminate them all together and reward players 1 crystal per point they have earned when they leave the battle. This would be separate from the battle fund. That way a player is still encouraged to stay and help win the battle to get even more crystals. Pay for work, not scavenging. /vote needs some work as well. I think they should add a clickable "REPORT" icon. Once you click the button a separate window opens where you can select the players name and reason for the report from a list. The listed items could be. hacker mult profanity saboteur This would be easier then trying to get the spelling of a players name right, also when a mod comes to check on the battle, he or she already knows why they are there. It would make the system a lot more effective. /vote is not very user friendly or effective in it's current state. Another idea to help eliminate people having so many accounts is to make it mandatory to supply an e-mail to sign up and limit the number of accounts per E-mail. If a ban is issued, ban all accounts linked to that e-mail.

There are is another topic worth reading "Auto-Kick" system for "Mults" it is intended to work along side the "Team-Kick" idea from @AbsoluteZero. What has occurred to me is that if these 2 systems get used by Tanki it would make the /vote more effective, due to the fact /vote won't need to used as much. Less /vote battles for the mods to look at means they should have a faster response time to deal with the players and issues the 2 kick systems can't deal with.

Well I guess I can't complain about going off topic. I did the same thing. However now that you have both said your piece, lets stay on topic. You can fight it out on the battle field or PM However one thing is becoming very clear to me. People care about crystals the most. Your fine system idea is looking better and better all the time. We can control a lot of people's bad behaviour with better control over the crystals.

Good for you. This is exactly what I'm talking about.
-
No one has said it is a rule or that it should be. Some of us just feel it is disrespectful not to help a team that you join.
-
Time to find new entertainment - Tanki just isn't fun any more

The reason /vote doesn't work is because mods are required to watch for 10 mins to make sure there really is a problem. They just don't have the time. -
With what? If you don't mind me asking.

You may want to look at this topic. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=217642 It is an idea for a new "team kick" system that @AbsoluteZero and myself have been working. Mostly him actually. You can discuss it all over there. It would have taken care of you little friend or should I say pest.

Screenshots will not be enough proof. It needs to be a video. At least you are trying. Good Job.

This is a idea I have read a few times now, but I think you may be the first to start a topic about it. I'll support it.

If you think he will answer your PM go ahead.

I agree. That looks really funny to many people I have talked to. That player most have been playing 12+ hours a day everyday for a week straight. Makes me wonder if Tanki caught this and are looking into whether or not he was cheating.

Thank-you for offering your support to this campaign. It's a shame you have had such a negative experience with reporting. This is something some of us hope to change if we can show that enough players are willing to do their part to make the game better. The chat is a funny place. I do help a mod friend of mine in chat quite often and you need to be really careful about what you say. Even though you are trying to help you still can't break the rules. I hope you will reconsider your decision on reporting one day, we need all the people we can get. Now on to what you have accused me of. I'm not sure if you have me mistaken with someone else or you are trying to discredit me. I would never say you should be reported for taking a gold box. It is in no way against the rules. I may have said "I hate players that come into battles just to grab gold boxes.", although I don't recall. I also do not ever recall complaining in chat that someone got a gold box. I don't really care who gets it, as long as they earn it before or after it drops. I have on occasion responded to the "gold yet" questions with different varied statements, but never flooding the chat complaining about it, certainly not every 10 secs. I keep track of my daily score with a spread sheet and I have not scored 2000 points a day in almost a month let alone in one battle, except Aug.14/2014(3360 points) You are correct about the "moral of the story". If indeed I did these things, which I do not believe I did, I will definitely make sure not to act like a child throwing a temper tantrum in the future. Shouldn't be a problem, since I have not been a child for a very long time, several decades in fact. Lets not discuss this any further. I don't want it to go off topic again. Feel free to PM me if you wish. This topic is about the campaign and it's supporters, not me, and I do not want to disrespect it again. As for the "team kick" system, if your referring to the new revised version that I'm helping with, it will not allow you to be kicked within the first 5 mins of joining a battle. So you would indeed have been able to prove your worth and avoid being kicked.

Your idea does have some merit, However I can't help to think, what will your friend do after he rids your team of the mult? Will he switch sides or will he sabotage the other team? If it was made very clear that once the mult is gone that your friends leave the other side, then maybe it might be an ok solution. If he stays but chooses to only kill non-friends then he, himself is now a saboteur. Hopefully you can see where the problems might come up.

Good job. Same is happening for myself and a few of our other supporters as well. But this just shows that something this simple is having an effect. Everyone keep it up.

@Beep_me Thank-you for your input. It sounds like you are doing what needs to be done. I applaud you. I really wish people wouldn't focus so much on the gold box comments. This a minor or secondary issue compared to the others we are fighting. It seems the simplest thing would be for me to remove what I have said about "gold box hunters". However I have already said it and I will just have to deal with the negative feedback of this point. I still maintain that "gold box hunting" is disrespectful to the players that are fighting to trigger the drop in the first place. I'm not encouraging people to go on a hunt for them. It is up to the individual to decide if they agree with "gold box hunting" or not. Just to be clear even if you are killing "gold box hunters" it is not against the rules.

Front page post edited again lots more stuff added. Explanation of terms Links to important information.

I am aware of it how it sounds, but it is usually pretty easy to spot the ones that are only in there for their own interests. Everyone has seen "has gold dropped yet?" If you look at the score and they have 0 kills and 0 points they clearly just joined. These "gold box hunters" watch for battles with high battles funds and low player counts. They join in the hopes of a gold drop within a short period of time. Once it does they are set up to grab it, and even if they don't they usually leave right after the drop. There are certain combos that work better then others. If you do that all day long your odds of grabbing 3 a day go way up. I my opinion, agree or not, this is not to far off from stealing. The faster the battle fund is increased, the less time you have to wait on average for a gold to drop. So again in my opinion, the box belongs to those who have put in the time to build the battle fund, not "gold box hunters". I guess we will not ever change this behaviour, seeing as Tanki is now promoting it with "gold box hunter of the week" in the v-blogs.

I would like to welcome and thank everyone that has agreed to support this campaign so far. I hope you are all trying to make a difference, and are seeing some success. If we continue to fight them instead of just letting them get away with it, some may just give up their selfish behaviour. I do have a little good news. I have talked with a few admins and mods. They told me that they have read this and @AbsoluteZero's 2 topics, I have listed. I was unable to confirm if any of this has gone any further up the command chain but it did sound promising to me. I will continue to attract more attention to our issue, but for now keep doing what ever you can.

Try posting that over in this topic. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=217573

Who's fighting ? Nobody is fighting. Just discussing.
-
Yes, I do not see a problem with that. Just to clarify even further, this is something that I don't like. I'm not suggesting that it is a rule or that what they are doing is wrong. I just feel it is disrespectful to players that have fought hard to trigger the gold box drop, to just come in, steal the box and leave.

I never could figure out why topics get closed so quickly. When a topic goes stale it will just sit there, and all of a sudden sometimes a year or more latter it will become active again. I don't see anything wrong with that. People come and go all the time and some of those new people may like the opportunity to talk about it.
