It your referring to the word "Staff", unfortunately you need to remember that 90% the players consider you "Staff" and therefore to know all the answers. I assumed that you where all payed employees of Tanki when I first started to play here and I'm an adult so would kids know the difference.

Who , why do we never get any comments from any developers other then him? He can be very disrespectful at times and isn't a good choice for a representative of the development team. Only one rep for the whole EN (oops sorry international) community and you wonder why players say Tanki doesn't really care about what we say.

Which only proves that players will buy items that are nothing more then cosmetic upgrades. But Tanki wrongly assumes the only way to sell premium accounts is to offer power over others. I'm not sure why they always seem so blind to reality.

If this is the case you may want to update the policies of your moderators because so far it seems we are only allowed to leave positive comments. Many negative ones get deleted. I feel sorry for the forum mods that will now have to deal with the mess you have just created. And once again, the burden of your decisions falls on the shoulders of the mods. It's all slight of hand or smoke and mirrors. I think they had 15% in mind the whole time. They start with 20% knowing everyone will focus on that. It is merely a distraction away from other issues. Now they have dropped to 15% so they can say "look we listened" but it is still a smoke screen. How many updates have still not been fixed? Once the hype dies down they just forget about these failed promises and failed updates, hoping the community has as well. Well, clearly we have not.

You bring up a very interesting point. If the mods and admins are supposed to be the faces that represent Tanki, then shouldn't they get the correct information before the rest of the community? You say that there is no point in asking them. I understand and know this but I'm 46. How do you think the players that have an average age that is probably pre-teen supposed to know that the people they see as the ones in charge have no idea what going on?

You know I rarely disagree with you but that my friend is a load of crap. If they wanted to they could add any number of solutions that have been suggested in the forums. /vote is a joke and you have seen the addon I wrote to solve that. How hard would that be to add? In the opinion of many, planning should include input from players before the work starts. Tanki has a huge resource of smart players in the forums, many of which are as equally talented as any of the developers or programmers, but for some reason they only come to use that resource after they have finished their version of what they think is good. Such a colossal waste of time and resources.

I have to say something that may have already been said but it is hard to keep up with everything in this topic. The idea of premium accounts as a whole is a great idea, however it has a flaw. It has been said and confirmed by several people already that selling power or making the game into a pay2win game is and has been the end for a lot of other MMO games. There is no need to give buyers any in game advantage. There are lots of very popular games that offer things to those that want to support the game that don't give them any sort of advantage and yet they have all kinds of buyers. Tanki can and should be able to do the same thing. Now as for the recent events that are occurring in this topic and the rest of the forum. I suspect that all this negativity and rage has less to do with this update and more to do with the fact we have reached a point where we just can't take it anymore. It has been building to this point for several months now and now it is here. There have been so many failed and/or unpopular updates, broken promises and unfixed issues in the last year that many players have left and those of us still here have reached the boiling point and beyond. This current situation is bigger then this planned update and it will take some work to fix the relationship between Tanki and it's players. I have to commend for coming back to this topic to try and sort out a resolution. It's no secret that we don't get along but I will give credit where credit is due. I'm still willing to offer my opinion and feedback if they want it. Speaking of feedback. I have to admit I'm rather disappointed in the mods that keep deleting anything that is not positive feedback. I understand that many of the things deleted were in violation of game rules however many negative feedback posts were also deleted for no other reason then the fact they are supposedly "ruining the reputation of Tanki". To me it's like your saying "give us your opinion as long as it is what we want to hear, if it is negative, then don't bother"

Well we have offered them all kinds of ideas to make more money but they are stuck on the idea of selling even more power to those that already get a huge advantage just due to the fact they are buyers. You want another idea to add to your "premium accounts"? Provide a "premium members only" section to the forum for those who want to support Tanki. I would buy a PA just for that reason alone. But stop selling power.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but ..... Did you seriously just make that assumption? The 1000's you refer to have no idea about this update because they have never seen the main page or anything on it, including the V-log. You may ask How? Well where is the first place a new player goes the first time he goes to tankionline.com? They end up in the tutorial, once there it takes you straight to a game server. It is at this point that they bookmark the page and from that point on they only ever login directly to the servers, blissfully unaware of anything that is going on in the forums or even of their existence. So for you to assume that all of the 1000's of silent voices are happy is unbelievable. If this same assumption is made by Tanki HQ, then that explains a lot. You ask how I came to this conclusion, well about 4 months ago I came across a group of players all in the top 4 ranks of the game. There where 4 of them that have been playing with each other for most of their Tanki careers. They are adults and had absolutly no idea about the forum. They had been doing exactly as I described, they had been going straight to the servers from day 1 and had never seen the main page. Seems like a rather big flaw if you ask me. Oh yeah, you forgot to consider all the players that don't speak English,Russian,or German and don't bother with the forums due to the language barrier. You also forgot about all the kids who only want to play and have no interest in discussing anything.

I'm not sure what you said but so far it appears they are afriad to hear the truth. Do you know the saying " You want the truth, You can't handle the truth" ? Watch it up to 19 seconds. Actually, we could be either one of those characters. We want answers and they won't tell us the truth. But they don't want to hear the truth from our point of view either.

Well it isn't just "new players at the low ranks, is it. I run across OP buyers all the time in the early stages of the ranks. So, yeah you will have all kinds of players buying "premium accounts" at low ranks, for no other reason then to bully other players.

Very good explanation of what many of us are feeling. I agree with everything that you have written but the problem is they don't really care about anything we think. Soon you will be able to add Tanki Online to that list of failed MMO's. It's to bad the developers of all these failed games couldn't see the impending doom. Blinded by greed and an over inflated ego, I guess.

The problem is they can't quite get the concept of offering non-power items. They seem to think no one would want to have the premium account paint without protection, yet players are spending hundreds of thousands of crystals just to get XT kits. Also lets not forget how many players wear "holiday paint" just because it looks cool. So once again their logic is flawed and contradictory to other things they say and do. They are stuck on the idea that players will only spend money on things if it will give them a huge advantage over others. I guess when you suffer from a superiority complex you think everyone thinks the same way. SO SAD, they have a golden opportunity with Unity and it looks like they are going to screw it up. I'm counting the days until the end.

Why is what we say considered rude and the way treats us OK? He has no people skills, but because he is a dev he gets to treat players anyway he likes. No disrespect intended to you but remove your blinders and see the truth. As you say he was the only one discussing this topic but wouldn't it make sense to have someone else to also represent Tanki on this matter. This is exactly what players are saying. There is no representative from Tanki in this forum at all any more. How disrespectful is that to us players? They might as well just say it and be done with it. Actually you made me think of another thing. Ok so claims that nobody would want a special paint without protection They introduced XT equipment which is purely cosmetic. People have spent hundreds of thousands of crystals hunting for XT stuff. So if we use their logic no body should be interested in XT kits either, :huh: yet they still introduced them and people are still going crazy for them. Also why do so many players wear all the fancy paints they release for special events? (The Holiday Paint) They don't have protection.

Who's making fun of developers? We are simply disagreeing with what he has to say and trying to have a real conversation. Unfortunately can't handle it when people disagree with him and point out the mistakes they have made. Many of us act rude towards him because he has a very poor attitude towards his customer base.
