Could be a good idea to open a practice account with a Rico M0 so you get the hang of it, without ranking too fast with your just obtained Rico M1. The Rico M1 unlocks quite early so take full advantage of that before the Thunder M1 's start to appear....... Keep on training! And know that in the end there is a Rico M3........ B) At least you will always be better than the player who finished as last in the uploaded picture above! 59 lost and 0 destroyed....he must have had lag, paused continuously, etc........otherwise he deserves the prize for most determined player!! :D

Wise man....... ;)

Best suggestion ever!!! :D

Just took an old practice account on a spin, nice to see what you can achieve now, with more or less inferior equipment, when you play Tanki for a while. Nothing fancy, a simple Viking M0 - Thunder M0 combo with Forester paint:
-
Well that was the Rico M1 for now.....just did some battles with it, went ok but as Bugatti already wrote: fighting with Rico is quite a struggle! It may rest now in the garage untill I can upgrade it to M2. On this account I will continue with Thunder M1. After some short battles between equals I decided to do two battles underneath high-rankers with some M2 equipment to see what the Rico M1 could do. The first one did not "run" the second one was ok. The Rico M1 is not too bad, but it is far easier to fight with Thunder M1. With Rico M1 against high-rankers you got to steal kills as much as you can. And the thing you will miss the most is the splash-damage of the Thunder. Nothing can beat that multiple kill-effect! B) There are also a lot of Freeze M2 's in these battles, devastating weapon, really scary stuff.... In this battle were quite some druggers, so I did pretty well I think:
-
Well in that case I agree with you, but I did not read that (at all) in your post, that 's why I reacted. :) Come on Adam, if anyone is a game expert it is you! You take a lot of time to really investigate and test the Tanki equipment, not many of us would do that! B) To my own benefit in the case of the Hunter, because what you showed in the short clips is that the Viking is a lot faster at the first meters. That power/acceleration of a hull was so important I discovered by your clips! Before to my shame I did not even now that Power = Acceleration.... It is what makes the short movements much more fluent, a thing I personally prefer! And your right about the Devs: if they change something it is too often radical like in the case of the Mammoth. In principal I agreed with the decision to make the Mammoth weaker, because with drugs it was unstoppable. The problem I have is that first the Devs let everybody go nuts on the OP stuff and when it seems that almost everyone has an OP Pre-NP Mammoth in the garage they suddenly change it to a useless piece of whatever! That is a perfect of stimulating buying, but it certainly does not feel right at all!
-
I do not immediately agree that Mammoth is better in Polygon. It certainly was the best in that Map side-by-side with the Titan befóre the New Physics. After the NP both heavy hulls suffered a lot when it comes to adapting to a faster paced game. Certainly the Mammoth became really slow now..... In Polygon DM 's I like to fight with Viking and the main trick is not to get face-to-face with a Mammoth or Titan. Than your toast! So if you properly know how to use the surplus of speed the Viking got after the NP in relation to Titan and certainly Mammoth, you got a very good fighting chance! At least this is the case (in my opinion) at the level on which I am at.
-
Hell no! Because that would make the Thunder really OverPowered! If you want a gun that does not decrease by distance that much than take the Smoky or even much better the Railgun which does not decrease at all!
-
Yeah you could be right, as I wrote in my larger "review" of the Rico at page 29: "Conclusion till now: really nice gun, pretty hard to master, but also fun! Only thing I doubt at the end is it's effectiveness, I am really still in the dark about that." But I will try the Rico intensively again at M2, at M1 level I just want to see if the Cedar paint can really make a difference! Still the gun is very nice to play with ánd I enjoy it to have to put in some extra effort, to make it properly work...... :) The M3 seems to be OP, even more so because (if I am not mistaking) most Paints at this moment are choosen to protect against Thunder, Railgun and Smokey! Ofcourse that might change in the future....

This is my best score (non-drugging) with the Viking M1 - Rico M1 combo in Polygon DM from a while ago. Ricochet is really good, you just need to learn how to get the most out of it! B) I stopped fighting with the Rico because it became too hard against the many Thunder M1 's. Just had the ( ugly! ) Dragon paint, nice against another Rico-player, but further useless. But now I have the Cedar paint! Bought this paint actually for using it with the Thunder M1 I obtained as well at the discount. My plan was to pick up the Rico again at M2, but now I will give the Rico M1 another run in a Polygon DM with the decent Thunder-protection from the Cedar. :) I will post the result in due time. By the way: the gameplay-picture is a nice example (by coincedence) how to use the Rico. You come out, shoot your plasma-balls just untill your opponent meets his maker......than you retreat and take cover, in this case behind the building, and wait a short time for your gun to fully reload (if possible ofcourse) and so on and on.......

NS battles: that 'll be good, just skills....let them come!!! :) Digital: did not recognize it, looked in TO Wiki at even "higher" paints....but a nice paint! I only have two good paints at my main. Tundra (the Digital paint that went cheap.... ;) ) and for mostly Thunder-fighting the Cedar. MU 'ing them both to 40% and that 'll do for now..... :) I am glad that the Shaft population diminishes a little: much nicer for the game! Had some pre-NP Serpuhovs CTF 's with multiple Shafts where you could barely move.... :D Saw an amazing Wasp-Shaft combo at Polygon DM (of all places) lately: died a lot, but also killed a lot......wondered what he could do with a Railgun....... The Railgunner has all my respect, I am training with that beautiful strong sniping weapon as well....as I am the Lord-of-the-Snipers! (please don't take the last too seriously....) :) :)
-
Yep, Mammoth M3 is still open for some debat......but till M2.....always Titan!
-
FatalError....I will certainly not make that FatalRemark ;) I recently did some Titan-Smoky (in Polygon DM) as well. Went very well too! No sweat at all! :P But I have to say that I missed a lot of the sheer pleasure from "driving" a faster tank. Titan used to be my number one tank before the NP. Before the NP Titan was better as the Viking in my opinion. My own nick-name is Smoky-TItan-Thunder: should actually be Smok-Vi-Thun now.... Even if the Titan was more successfull in crystals for me than the Viking I would still for the reasons of fun choose Viking in DM 's! Sorry for that..... ;) But Titan-Smoky sure is a hell of a combo, and after the NP a lot better than the Mammoth! B) And yes, the Hornet is great (essential...) and big fun for CTF 's! Should do some more CTF, enjoy them probably the most, but have had too many bad experiences with over-drugging opponents and multing.....resulting in battles with at the end a sad sum of crystals.... :( Looking at the picture: which paint is that you use?
-
Aah...now I got it! ;) It 's the same as me and my sweetheart Smoky! She is so loved by even the Devs that they could only gave her the sweet nick-name Smoky right away!!! You don 't call such a little precious beauty "Smoke"! A bast..d like Thunder, no nick-name for that one, if you get what I mean.... :D

Well in time and if possible (invite code...) I will give it a go at the test-server for sure! :) I have the M2 Hullkit so the Hunter M2 is gathering a lot of rust ( I do not even have to buy Corrosion! :) ) in my garage. I am quite certain I am not going to use that one :P , bút the Hunter M3 has good stats and if it can proof it 's worth to me at the test-server I would consider it a serieus option in the future. My opinions are never rock-solid. I can change them easily if I am proven wrong. For example: a long time I thought Ricochet s.cked, than I Really played with it and now I like it! Some will think that is weak: I think that is smart! For now it still is Viking all the way for me, blinded by  as I am too.... :D But one last thing: how did you obtain that RAILY gun??? ;)
-
Yes, the combo certainly is: it simply pawns! The Thunder M0 damage is already not too bad, but the slow turret-rotation is a major flaw. Much better ( always ;) ) to use Smoky M1 first, because when you next step up to Thunder M1 you will have the exact same turret-rotation speed.......so the transition at that part will be and feel natural and fluent! B) The Corrosion-paint is a good choice, but if you can wait till WO5 and can spend the crystals: I would definitely recommend Cedar! The Thunder protection ánd self-protection! is with 32% already very good from the start. I will micro-upgrade the first 5 relatively "cheap" steps of the thunder-part of Cedar to an excellent 40% ( 16.112 crystals ) and than wait for MU-discounts or in my sweetest dreams: free MU steps..... :D :D
-
How high, the utterly, completely and totally useless M2? Or did you already waste those precious crystals at the, well ok: fairly good Hunter M3? ;) Well you know what they say: "blinded by  ........" :P
-
Medium Hulls review van Raphael2: Nice one! B) Conclusion: best overall medium hull........Viking! ;) ............... :D :D :D
-
FatalDeath = FatalTank....ofcourse I really liked your "Thunder tips for ZiAa", good stuff! So it seems the MU 'ing is over ;) ...wow, very nice score certainly with Thunder in a big Map! B) You play a lot of CTF it seems, do you also play DM 's?
-
For Thunder I would not choose Hunter. It is somewhere in the "bad" middle and it does not move "fluently" due to the slow acceleration/power. In my opinion it is much better two have two hulls (Hornet and Viking) depending on what type of game you are going to play: In CTF take Thunder and Hornet: you need the speed! In TDM you just choose the hull that suits your style the most In DM take Thunder and Viking: the best hull, certainly considering the speed/HP! Hornet and Viking both have really fast acceleration: most players do not value this enough, I think it is crucial! For example: with the Railgun I switched between Wasp and Hornet and the lesser acceleration of the Wasp makes it feel "slow" in short movements, the Hornet which has a lot more power is much more fluent, goes really fast from back- to forwards: a crucial benefit when Railgunning! Escaping or attacking with a nice speed at the first meters is good too! The drifting of the Hornet is a little issue, but till now HP and power/acceleration make it the hull I prefer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Another thing I noticed with Thunder is that players at WO5 or even higher ranked, play with Thunder in the popular Polygon DM and make in my view two mistakes: First mistake is they choose a hull with to little HP. Without HP you are toast much to soon. That is ok with a short-range weapon like Freeze because you kill a lot also, not so good with Thunder. So better take Viking or Titan. The second and worst mistake is that they do not use Cedar paint. This relatively cheap paint makes the difference in the Thunder M1 infested WO4+ (Polygon) DM 's! Only thing needed to proof this is an empty Map and a wall: first you go without Cedar and close to the wall you shoot two-and-a-half times and your dead, next with Cedar (not even MU 'd....) and you can shoot four! times and you are still (really júst, but what the heck!) underneath the living! B) (In large maps Cedar is still good, but sometimes Tundra can be a better choice.) Not that I object the players who choose to play DM 's differently: the more, the better ;) I have just started to fight with the Thunder M1 but already have good results with the non-drugging Cedar-painted Viking M1 - Thunder M1 combo:

Well said!

Just finished a nice DM. Wanted to rank up ánd earn some crystals on this Hijo-de-Puta account to be able to buy a discounted Wasp M1 to practice railgunning. With the combo Titan M1 - Smoky M1, I pretty much succeeded.... :D Entered the battle with some more lower ranks, halfway it became a real WO-game... :) Freeze Sanek1616 and myself formed a good team: teamwork in DM always is a benefit! Also no drugs (besides the occassional mine..) as always! Just full drugs at Goldboxtime, this time no luck with the too slow Titan. Ofcourse i had lots of fun, but the lack of speed of the Titan compared to my Viking M1 let alone Viking M2 (hullkit) is staggering! Still the HP of the Titan is awesome and it's a hell of a lot more manouvrable than the Mammoth. After the NP the Titan IMHO is no more the king, but it's still a good tank and certainly well suited for this Map. And about Smoky: I do not even want to get started...... (By the way the number one was a Mammoth M1 with a Freeze M2. Wow, that Freeze M2 is deadly! He played really well with this slow combo, but in my favour: he drugged quite a bit too)

You did not read what I wrote, or more likely as being a fool yourself: you do not understand.... :P

I agree! :P (I already wrote: correct me if I am wrong)
