Vroeger, héél vroeger kon je tegen een "goedendag" (Wikipedia) aanlopen. Dan had je echt geen goeden dag.

If you really like the Dictator and it suits you: why not? Don 't know if you micro-upgraded your Dictator? If not and you have some crystals to spend why not put them in micro-upgrading (HP) your Dictator M2? This hull is worthy of some MU 'ing because of the late M3 unlock. (from 9 till 11 May 50% on MU 's and 80% on speed-ups)

What are you getting at the May Day discounts, if any?
Lord-of-the-Snipers replied to I3rilliant in Archive
No equipment. But I surely will invest in 50% micro-upgrades (and some speed-ups) from the 9th till the 11th of May. -
The : I don 't know! :D

If your not trolling...it 's because the Hunter M1 unlocks late. The Viking M1 unlocks at Warrant Officer 1 and the Hunter three rangs later at WO4. The later equipment unlocks the more powerful it becomes. That is why the Hunter M1 and M2 actually outclass the Viking for a long time, till the Viking gets M2 on rank LT Colonel (normally) as well. Though with the recent produkt kits it 's possible to get these hulls earlier. The Viking is a nice hull, but the Hunter improved a lot since the balance, so it became an excellent choice now. You could call it the SuperHornet I guess... Can 't go wrong with Hunter nowadays!

Most players won 't agree that Vulcan wasn 't OP. And the reason that not that many players obtain Vulcan IMO has more to do with the gameplay with this turret, which isn 't everyones taste, than with the strength of it. Further I won 't take back my "insult" because if you would have quoted the whole sentence it also said: "Hopefully it 's the end of those immediate-firing-after-spawning and self-destructing healthkit noobs, and the rise of the few decent Vulcan players who know how to properly handle the minigun." I met some of these skilled guys who knew very well how to play with the Vulcan, when to actually start shooting the smart way and didn 't need to blow themselves up constantly. They rightfully took full advantage of the "old" OP Vulcan with it 's "suppresive" fire (rain from hell...) and will continue to do so with this normalized Vulcan. No need to stop playing with it, unless you are not one those guys ofcourse. Go play Pro Battles and you will meet them.

Why way wrong? So in your view you are only allowed to praise the Vulcan on the Vulcan page? A player who favours certain equipment should easily be able to cope with criticism on that equipment. Well I for one are also glad the Vulcan got a decent nerf and as @NewbieCake already said: you could have seen it coming. Hopefully it 's the end of those immediate-firing-after-spawning and self-destructing healthkit noobs and the rise of the few decent Vulcan players who know how to properly handle the minigun. When turrets are OP like the Vulcan was you can have confidence they will get a nerf on the next rebalance. So enjoy overpoweredness as long as it lasts...

The Thunder is back!!! :) Once in a while I play a Pro Battle Kolhoz DM without supplies against the highest ranks to see how things are going. A sort of check. With the "old" Thunder I couldn 't achieve a lot in this Map and only a few times when everything went well I ended up somewhere just below the middle. Never higher. Now I played two similar games in this Map with the "new" Thunder. One which I entered halfway and did very good, and one that I played right from the start: see picture. Battle with Hornet M4, Thunder M3.5 and Emerald: Better dust off those Thunder paints I guess! :D

Changes in the parameters of turrets and hulls
Lord-of-the-Snipers replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
It 's still a good turret. The frustration you feel now, is kind of like the feeling we constantly had when we encountered overpowered Hammers and Vulcans. Frustration levels are balanced now I guess. -
Wow, early assessment but Thunder definitely got a buf! It reminds me of the old powerful Thunder when I was stumbling around with Viking M1 and Cedar. Good memories! The slower reload IMO is not a huge issue. It 's still a pretty fast shooter looking at the massive damage it deals. And most Thunder players aren 't constantly pushing the spacebar: nor do they need to. Haven 't got a clue yet how the nerfing of Splash will work out, but straight shots at the enemy are stronger. Planning to go back to Smoky at M3 no matter what, but for now I guess it 's "healthier" to use my Thunder M3.5 instead of my Smoky M2. Wishing I had shares/stocks in Thunder paints... p.s. the proof is in the pudding they say: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=171431&page=2933&do=findComment&comment=4575477

You have to make a new account. You can 't use your own existing account. This test account is a temporarily account which will disappear after the test period. Just pick a name and it 's fine to use a very easy password on this one: nobody will steal it.

-
Tested the Smoky: and in my experience it 's not good. Not good at all. Crit is underpowered now and the normal damage hasn 't increased enough to compensate. Tried Smoky and Thunder. If things stays the way they are: don 't go for the Smoky.
-
If it stays like this: sad but true. I was looking forward to rank towards the Smoky M3: not anymore. :( Smoky 's normal damage hasn 't increased enough and critical damage is anything but "critical" now. Still the best gun to practice and improve your drive-by shooting: just don 't expect to kill your target with this now underpowered turret. Tested Thunder too and Thunder is ok. At least this turret also actually destroys enemy hulls... Vulcan and Hammer nerfed? Encountered some in battle and hardly noticed it. Still OP in my experience. Tested the Viking M4 "thoroughly" and it 's very good now. Did some testing with the Hunter M4 and though it became lighter (as it should be) as the Viking, it really gained in all other aspects. Both hulls improved a lot. So far, so good.
-
We just have to wait and see. When the test-servers are opened I will definitely test it. It could be a good thing, because with Smoky you often overkill with the critical and the surplus of the crits damage gets blown away with the "wind". The amount of increase of the normal damage will make it a good or a bad update for the Smoky. Considering the Smoky had nerf after nerf: it 's about time for a buff. -_-

We WANT this...We WANT that... Acting like a bunch of spoiled brats. If you don 't agree with Tanki Online and it 's staff: the forum is here for you and your complaints, but at least try to show some respect and dignity. If these latter words sound unfamiliar to you: Google and learn... -
Good update! Though the Forum is indeed laggy today...

It 's good in most Maps except IMO the small Maps, like for example Island. Maps with little cover like Stadium are ok, but Maps that provide more cover like Kungur are better.

There are only three hulls in the game that have outspoken out-of-the-center mounted turrets. These are the rear-mounted Wasp and Dictator and the front-mounted Mammoth. It makes sense to drive forward with the Mammoth and backwards with the Wasp and Dictator. Reasons for this are given in previous posts. If possible I will always drive my Wasp backwards in the "Mosquito" with every turret. And the Wasp IMO is the only hull that turns so fast there is hardly no need to drive forwards again. Just stay in the Mosquito. In a way this makes the Wasp an "easy" hull, because you can focus on constantly driving backwards. With most other hulls the turrets are quite close to centralized. When driving for example with the Hornet or Viking I 'm barely aware which way I 'm driving. It could be "forwards" or "backwards": no idea, it became an automatism. Naturally I do make turns with Hornet/Viking, but if for example I need to retreat from stronger enemy fire, I just turn my turret towards that enemy and while shooting I drive away in the opposite direction from that enemy to a safer distance or cover. Ofcourse even the hulls with "centralized" turrets still have the turret mounted with a small offset. So there is a part of the hull that 's a bit more suited for peek-a-boo. Still IMO it 's not worth it to make time-consuming turns, with other hulls than Wasp and Dictator, to get into that preferred peek-a-boo position. Being ready to go immediately into the opposite direction with a completely "directional-independent" turret is.

Very effective gun indeed and another benefit is that a vanilla Smoky M2 already does a great job. MU 's make it better, but not like you can (and have to) improve for example a Thunder M3 with micro-upgrades. I 'm sure it will last till Marshal. Superb M2 weapon. Smoky M2 is a great fit for the Viking M2 (as it also is for the Hunter M2) I own a Viking M2/Smoky M2 on my alt (LT General). Next discount I will be ugrading it to Viking M3 for the last push till Marshal. Capable and versatile combo. Just keep it moving and shoot while driving. Sturdy, relatively fast melee fighter and very capable of supporting attacks. Though I don 't believe it 's the best combo at all for Polygon CP. For example Viking/Thunder would be much more effective here due to the obvious huge opportunity for multiple Splash-kills. Too bad IMO that Polygon CP becomes more and more popular though...but that 's another story.

I have solely the damage on my Thunder M3 fully MU 'd. Micro-upgraded it on the New Years sale when speed-ups had a 85% discount. (MU 's were 50%) It 's very strong now and really doesn 't need any more MU 's. Won 't change that much. (besides want to use those crystals on a Smoky M3) The Thunder is used with Hornet and I use this speedy hull to avoid those opponents that try to hug me. I happen to be quite allergic on self-damage! This combo also excels in tipping/rocking. On DP 's it 's total devastation. Damage 140-180 with every shot. Barely legal. Micro-upgrades on rotation speed are a personal favourite. Depends on your play-style if they are worth it. Micro-upgrading Thunder M3? In my opinion definitely worth it and a Thunder M3 needs MU 's to compete. Fully M4? IMO not needed.
