    Let's Discuss Hornet!

Oh yes, Hornet M2 is weak: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=171431&page=1850&do=findComment&comment=3860694 :P

Tips for getting more FPS in game "For Beginners"

Got a great tip from a friend, and it works like a charm in my case! I always (sooner or later) used to have fatal errors and lag in big Maps like Berlin and Dusseldorf. When you go to settings (the "grey gear wheel" button: Battles - Garage - Invite a Friend - Settings) you will find a box "Automatic Graphics Quality" I always used to tick this box and check every single box in it besides "Dynamic Lighting". (too tiring on the eyes IMO) Tanki looks great this way but in my case I also had the errors. Now I still tick the box "Automatic graphics Quality", but now I only choose óne extra box: "Antialiasing" The "Fog" and "Shadow under Tank" boxes are already checked and I don 't uncheck them. (So in total I have three boxes checked under "Automatic graphics Quality") I certainly don 't want to give up this anti-aliasing: it 's just too important for a nice clear view! No more fatal errors and lag since I changed the settings like described above!

Ok, one more (third) try. It 's a very difficult question I suppose? Goldrock, next hull to be be analyzed by you: Hunter?

[Issue 25] What to mount on: Hornet

Well, you' ve probably made up a complete "hull related to weapon" rating schedule? If true, all the possible 63 combo 's have already got their points for overall effectiveness. So my ^^^^ question still stands: Hunter next? (very interested in this personal big question mark hull)

These "what to mount on..." series are great! Already helped me out with some planning on my accounts. Thanks GoldRock for sharing your knowledge. ^Indeed: keep them coming! Hunter next?

    New XP server

^Second that. You pick the first "Russian" server 1 or you pick the first "English" server 28. IMO this is the easiest way. Plain and simple.

    Your questions for the V-LOG

^ Second that: 2. Will there (ever) be a "XBP" gamemode besides CTF, DM, TDM and CP?

[Guide] XP/BP Paint Rules in pictures

Indeed, it would be a very strange sight to see for example a Generalissimo with such a M1 XP/BP combo with Clay! However in theory it is possible. Really! :D The main reason I mentioned Picasso and Clay is to warn players. If you see these paints in a XP/BP battle you are most likely dealing with a "paint offender". Most "paint-offenders" will ofcourse use Prodigi (made in Tanki heaven and stolen by three-shot crooks) or Digital. Or they will use Tundra on M2 's or even M3 's and have an eloborate explanation why théy are allowed to use it...

[Guide] XP/BP Paint Rules in pictures

Thanks for the positive feedback! # Before the new update 270 there was a "Paint-issue" with the slightly nerfed Hornet M3. To prevent it from the very small chance of being one-shotted there were players using a 10% Railprotective paint (Forester, Corrosion or Emerald). With Update 270 the Hornet 's Protection got increased! (the Hornet M3 goes from 159 to 166 HP): М0 82,3529 М1 115,4412 М2 133,8235 М3 159,5588 М3+ 200,0000 82,9412 118,6765 138,5294 166,3235 210,0000 Good news! With this Update 270 the chance of being one-shotted is back to zero. So in an XP battle there 's no excuse to use a paint with railprotection on a Hornet M3 anymore. Time to go back to a good looking non-railprotective paint, for example this one: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=209627&do=findComment&comment=3722795 ;)

[Guide] XP/BP Paint Rules in pictures

Everybody who plays XP and/or BP knows there are (unofficial) Paint-rules you should follow. To make things more easy I made these rules visible in the pictures below. (if you want to know all about XP, you should take a look at Hogree 's excellent XP Guide! link: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=188485#entry3363100) First, the six standard XP/BP Paints: Forester, Corrosion, Emerald, Sandstone, Savanna and Tundra. Every upgrade of a Hornet or Wasp should use an appropriate one: which one can be seen in the pictures below. The only exception is the Hornet M3 which should be used without any Railprotective paint. Secondly, two pictures of Railprotective paints you should be well aware of! They are Clay (30%) and Picasso (25%) which are on paper allowed on a Hornet M1 or Wasp M1, but in reality you will not see these M1 combo 's. So take notice: if you see one of these two paints you are most likely dealing with an XP offender. Finally pictures of Prodigi (46%!) and Digital (35%!) who are always forbidden in XP! Allowed on M1 Hornet and M1 Wasp, max. 30% protection: ^ Hornet M1 and Wasp M1 - Tundra with 30% Railprotection ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Allowed on M2 Hornet and M2 Wasp, max. 20% Railprotection (meaning NO ^Tundra!) : ^ Hornet M2 and Wasp M2 - Sandstone with 20% Railprotection ^ Hornet M2 and Wasp M2 - Savanna with 20% Railprotection ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Allowed on M3 Hornet, NO Railprotection at all! Allowed on M3 Wasp, max. 10% Railprotection: ^ Wasp M3 - Forester with 10% Railprotection ^ Wasp M3 - Emerald with 10% Railprotection ^ Wasp M3 - Corrosion with 10% Railprotection -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next two paints Clay and Picasso are only allowed on a Hornet M1 or a Wasp M1! These are also two very unlikely combo 's but I especially wanted to mention them to make you aware of these two less known (high percentage) Railprotection paints! Clay and Picasso are Never Allowed on Hornet M2 and M3 and also Never Allowed on Wasp M2 and M3! ^ Very unlikely combo, but allowed on only Hornet M1 and Wasp M1 - Clay with 30% Railprotection ^ Very unlikely combo, but allowed on only Hornet M1 and Wasp M1 - Picasso with 25% Railprotection ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prodigi and Digital are Always Strictly Forbidden! in XP battles: ^ Digital with 35%! Railprotection! Not Allowed! ^ Prodigi with 46%! Railprotection! Not Allowed!

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

This "dude" doesn 't want a discussion or PM. In fact you could even say you aren 't doing anything wrong. XP is still unofficial, so if someone wants to enter an XP with a Mammoth: he can do so. The same counts for the Paint-rules, not official: so Prodigi 's all over the place. Still there are these unofficial rules which a lot of players do obey, because they like to fairplay. There was this discussion about the Hornet M3: 10% yes or no, but IMO this soon will be fixed. I don 't recall a Hornet M2: 30% yes or no issue, and I don 't think many real XP players will think your way. It 's plain and simple IMO: if you want to play XP with a Hornet M2 you should use a 20% paint like Sandstone or Savanna, according to the unofficial rules. If you don 't have one of these paints, you 'd better not compete in "Railgun M3 XP 's" till you have one or just wait for your own Hornet M3. Another option on a Hornet M2/ Wasp M2 is to choose a weaker 10% paint like Forester. To avoid getting one-shotted, which is possible, you should avoid battles against Brigadiers and higher ranks when you only use a 10% paint. This way you avoid the M3 Railguns and you will be completely safe from getting one-shotted. (a much better option is to get Sandstone in a 50% discount which will cost 41.250 crystals) If you think it is a good excuse to use Tundra, because you don 't have one of those 20% paints and Forester in your words gets you mostly one-shotted, than that 's all up to you. (in other words: lets all make our own rules) I can only hope you are part of a minority, because otherwise if XP doesn 't get official it will get even harder to find a proper XP. That 's all. Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Are you even aware that you are wearing Tundra on a Hornet M2 in an XP battle?? # The 10% on a Hornet M3 is debatable at the moment. Which debat already has been going on in this topic. The only thing I want to add that I also think this is just a temporarily issue caused by the current Rebalance. It will be solved with the next Rebalance and the small amount of extra HP the Hornet will gain. (I wouldn 't be surprised this is the sole reason the Devs give the Hornet that bit more HP) So IMO the M3 's should be all going back to wearing non-protective paints after this new Rebalance. Finally if the Russians feel so "appalled" by us Englisch community "XP rule-breakers" which some here seem to imply, why doesn 't one of their Champions who can write English post a topic on the Forum about the exact XP paint rules, how to behave etc. ? It 's not our job, because I do think our own XP Pro 's already have done a very good job in writing guides which explain XP and its rules to us. If some Tankers don 't follow those rules than that 's pretty bad, but you can 't blame a whole community for it.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

XP battle that started nice, but first got derailed by Bogomololev who entered with Viking-Freeze-Prodigi and whatever some of our team, including myself tried he refused to leave. As a reaction or maybe it were also newly entering offenders? the opposite team got a Hornet-Smoky-Prodigi and a Mammoth-Twins-Prodigi. The derailed XP went on, and besides the offenders it was a good fight. Normally I would have left but I already had a good score when the first offender came in. Devs, when do we get a XP battlemode? From a comfortable lead it came to a pretty close end. We almost lost it. (my DL is nice: but I did play defense and midfield, if I had been flagcaping it would ofcourse have been worse) Hornet M2 - Rail M2 Sandstone
