Sam, could you answer some questions about this post? : If you want a teammember to change to an allowed paint and you take the flag of the opposite team, will the opposite team don 't fire at you? How do you let them know of your good intentions? I can imagine they are just going to shoot you, or is "cton" (both teams should have stopped playing at this word) enough? Or do you say something more in Russian?

Another fine example why we need a XP Battlemode. A Fieldmarshall being proud on his victory while wearing Prodigi on a Wasp M2. Original post here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=171431&page=1383&do=findComment&comment=3645171 Posted 31 May 2014 - 09:08 canadarules, on 31 May 2014 - 02:11, said: Nice such a victory CanadaRules, don 't know if you and your team deserved it though. I happened to be in this batle as well, and I started with Sandstone 20% as you are supposed to when you have a Hornet M2. Battle starts and yep another culprit of the paint rules. Canada makes up his own rules obviously, what 's in a name. I asked politely why he was using Prodigi when on a Wasp M2/ Hornet M2 you are only allowed Sandstone or Savanna. "it doesn 't matter" and another answer I don 't remember. He was asked by others too. To my surprise he was not asked by Remaine who also happened to be in the opposite team. He was wearing Needle I think: at least not a paint with protection, he followed the rules. Bravo? Following the rules as his teammate CanadaRules should have done also! Why Remaine didn 't ask or even refused to play with a clear culprit is a mistery to me because of this: http://en.tankiforum...=5#entry3531766 : Well Remaine, your friend/teammate was wearing Prodigi which is even worse than Tundra. At that moment everybody was playing by the rules, only Canadarules who refused to change his paint kept wearing Prodigi. That evening I had my share of derailed XP 's already and was sick of it. I have the medium M2 kit with Prodigi so I changed my Sandstone to Prodigi and thus lowered myself also as another culprit. I got asked to about my Prodigi and my simple answer was: "if he wears Prodigi, I wear Prodigi" At least the game was "balanced" this way. The battle started and we the Blue Team did well, unfortunately I had to stop and leave the game. I was doing really well at that moment, which is no surprise if you need three shots to get killed... Btw. CanadaRules nice answer: http://en.tankiforum...82#entry3644640 Our team was winning when I left (I had the highest D/L, but am a bad flagcaper): Too bad the blue team lost! Don 't know if the Prodigi of CanadaRules made the difference: but it sure helps to have a fast flagcaping Wasp who is able to survive two shots, doesn 't it? We all definitely need a XP battlemode! So these kind of derailed XP 's can 't simply happen anymore. Just have a look at the many recent posts about this subject in Ideas and Suggestions: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=182576&page=239&do=findComment&comment=3643940

Why are XP Battles so popular? [by GoldRock]
Lord-of-the-Snipers replied to conanthedestroyer in Newspaper Archive
Beautiful article/ guide Goldrock! Read it twice already, because it 's a lot to "digest". But it sure "tasted" good. Bravo, nice job! No, but the banning part would be nice though! Can 't you read the rules? Basic List of Protections Allowed in XP Battles M1 Hornet - Max 30% - Tundra, Clay M1 Wasp - Max 30% - Tundra, Clay M2 Hornet - Max 20% - Savanna, Sandstone (10% is acceptable too) M2 Wasp - Max 20% - Savanna, Sandstone M3 Hornet - NO Protection Paint. M3 Wasp - Max 10% - Forester/Emerald/Corrosion Very easy solution: just pick one of those already derailed XP 's and wear your Prodigi with "pride". There are sadly quite a lot of these "XP 's" with all kinds of hulls, weapons and paints. (and noobs) In "Ideas and Suggestions" I posted a solution, which probably already has been suggested by others as well. Still it 's always worth trying again! There is a great new article/ guide about XP by Goldrock! (you can find it in Press): http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=203138&do=findComment&comment=3607635 It certainly is a long story but really worth to read it! A "must" read IMO. -_- (If you are into XP than ofcourse you already have read Brandybabyxx 's first post on this topic. and certainly Hogree 's great Guide: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=188485) Just a short repeat/ reminder for all those paint-offenders (or more blunt "cheating Hy6 threeshots-Tankers") in XP battles: Basic List of Protections Allowed in XP Battles M1 Hornet - Max 30% - Tundra, Clay M1 Wasp - Max 30% - Tundra, Clay M2 Hornet - Max 20% - Savanna, Sandstone (10% is acceptable too) M2 Wasp - Max 20% - Savanna, Sandstone M3 Hornet - NO Protection Paint. M3 Wasp - Max 10% - Forester/Emerald/Corrosion XP battles with M3 Hornet noobs overprotected with Tundra or even Prodigi: come on!

Free Pro Battle Pass + brand new (50% discounted) Hornet M2 + Rail M2 + Sandstone (20% Rail) = first XP Battles! :) Went a lot better as I expected. My "peek-a-boo" is still pretty nooby, but at least I got away with it...for now. Beautiful gamemode, all about skills and a good team, and most important: NO annoying druggers! A completely different level compared to previous "normal" Railgun fights: not much room in XP for mistakes... Engaging, fast, difficult...love it! edit: cheaters everywhere, even in XP. Had a Sandbox with M3 's opponents with...Tundra. Ofcourse they "won", still they are a bunch of loosers.

Just a post, no replies: The rebalanced Thunder: it is now my second (or first?) "Railgun" which delivers less damage, but has a much better reload than the Rail ánd it has (still some) Splash. Viking M2 - Thunder M2 used to be my favourite melee tank. It was a superb combo in Polygon DM. The heavy damaging shots combined with the also heavy Splash were devastating! Ok, with Thunder you had some self-damage when an attacker came too close, but this was easily fixed by a good Thunderpaint like Cedar. With the heavy and stable Viking I could always return fire, even when under attack of a Twins or Ricochet. This is still possible with the Viking, but it 's quite a bit harder, now that the impacts of these plasmas have a lot more effect on the now lightest medium hull: the rebalanced Viking. Besides of that, I fortunately hardly notice the lesser protection and the slight speed increases are very nice. Now with the lowered damage of Thunder it is IMO by far not that effective anymore from a close to medium distance. When an opponent is able to get close you are simply in much deeper trouble than you were before the last Rebalance... Nope, instead it has become very effective at a medium to long distance! The best way to handle the Thunder now IMO is that you start thinking as the average Railgunner. 1. Find a Map with possibilities to create space between you and your enemies. With Thunder you have an advantage at medium to longer distances so you better use that advantage! 2. If you get under attack, can you back off? The more you can retreat whilst firing shots at your opponent the better ofcourse. 3. When spawning in the midst of the battle, try to take cover and retreat to a less crowded place as quick as possible. Don 't be afraid to be a coward! ;) This works the best in bigger maps. The most success myself I had in Desert DM 's. Won 't tell you all the details: just try to think and play as a Railer would... -_- Had more of these above 10 DL results in Desert DM during the May Holidays event, this was my best. Used drugs against drugging attackers and used the remaining doped time to kill as much as possible. Med kits btw can be found plenty in this map: which is handy to say the least..... :) p.s. for the on this post replying "facepalmer" Hayagriva: three non drugging Pro Battles with my Medium M2 kit and also my other account on the last two pictures from the "past" Pro Battles with Viking M2 (hull kit) and "just" Cedarpaint and "only" Thunder M1. In most battles I also still don 't drug at all. Never bought or will ever buy a drugs kit. But yeah that 's just my word. Just simply keep getting daily gift drugs that 's all. In this Desert DM I only used drugs when a fully drugged tank was attacking me. A kit might be stronger than others: true, but even than it still is simply no match against a drugger. So I drugged back. Fairplay? Nope, you are 100% right in that! Than again: Tanki and Fairplay? Underneath which rock..... The only bit of Fairplay can be found in non-drugging Pro battles. Wanted already to fully play those battles with M2 equipment: well it is possible, but if you want to get high scores ánd enough crystals you need at least a M3 weapon. The hull can be M2. (Except for XP: already have a Hornet M2 and Rail M2 but on different accounts....) Screenshots: buyers sometimes also have a tiny bit of skills ;) Viking M2 - Thunder M2 with Prodigi

Very sad. Family, friends and Tanki-players who knew him well, condolences with the loss of Salih. R.I.P.

Wow, so that is the problem with this stupid gun: thanks for the warning!!! Do not want to kill myself!

Back to playing with Smoky M1  on a training account. Not with the Viking, but with the Hornet. Very effective combo if you hit your opponent shot after shot ánd don 't forget to: move! Good target shooting is more advanced gameplay, so I can understand beginners who don 't like the gun. Used the Smoky M1 in every battlemode and in all sorts of maps. It really works everywhere IMO! Only problem are the heavy huls: you just need too much shots, without a Crit, to kill them. Played with it in Madness: super effective! Also against Railers which I ofcourse try to knock out of their aim. Does not work if they are too far away, than you simply need a bit of luck. Also keep moving and try to find cover if needed. Shaft is more difficult and deadly if he spots you first: otherwise it 's an easy target. Rico 's can be effective if they manage to get close: than they knock the poor Smoky out of aim.... Thunder is also effective if not too far away, fortunately many times the Crit saves the Smoky! The above examples are from Smoky M1 in Madness, but Smoky behaves almost similar in other maps. Smoky M2 is far away, but a most definit on my list! :)
-
And Shaft is perfect food for my Rail... :)
-
IMO: Yep!
-
Got it, thanks! So I will use Sandstone because I have it, but indeed Sandstone and Forester are both correct for Hornet M2-Rail M2. (Sandstone can be more usefull against so called "party poopers" :) ) Tundra is not ok with Hornet M2-Rail M2: too much protection. People use them, even Prodigi, because they don 't follow the rules. Btw. not into XP for a long shot, still enjoying the Hornet-Rail combo in normal battles. Tried Wasp-Rail, but definitely prefer Hornet-Railgun. Superb combo!
-
Why should you do this with Hunter M0? It will not teach you extra skills and will be very hard IMO. Better spend a few crystals on a Hornet M0 which has a surplus of speed or Viking M0 which has a surplus of HP. I would choose the Hunter M1 which is a solid upgrade! Faster and more stable than the Dictator and because it 's a much more difficult target than the huge (and clumsy) Dictator, you don 't have to worry about the 14 HP less on the Hunter! And you will not have to worry about "hugging" :) enemies. Dictators often can 't hit you, when you hug them...just get really close...

"Really, any hull can be perfect if someone has the right skills for it. In my opinion, the underrated equipment is always the best equipment, its just people don't have the skills to use it well." You have a good point, so I agree. It 's just that a lot of other people have a lot of talk and bring their personal opinions as true facts, but never can show anything substantial to prove their points. Well, I don 't hate on Wasp! I do prefer Rail with a Hornet, but I am becoming a huge fan of Wasp with Firebird or even better IMO Freeze. No hull can make such fast tight manouvres and circles like the Wasp. Which is a huge benefit when using these weapons. With Mammoth and certaintly Titan you should still have the skill to move your tank in every desired direction, as well for- as backwards driving. Ofcourse it 's a lot, a lot easier than handling a Hornet with its drifting or a Wasp with its lesser stability.
-
Reading this I get this vision of a rising Darth Vader: everything starts to shake and rumble.....your worst nightmare arises! Maybe this is what our opponents have to go through each and every single battle where a Thunder appears? If so I pity them! :D
-
Both weapons match very well with your Hornet. If you are happy and not bored with your Isida, take it to M2 which is a very strong upgrade. Though in my view Rail has a lot more to it than the Isida. It takes longer to truly master, but if you do you will enjoy a much more versatile and engaging gameplay than you can ever have with the Isida IMO. Start with Rail as a more or less camping sniper (which I found a bit boring :) ), but if you get the hang of it: go "hunting". Sneak around on the battlefield and take your enemies out one by one. Ofcourse you are vulnerable in between the shots, but even in defending yourself you can improve a lot. IMO Rail!
-
Question. Please answer. Can I use Sandstone as a replacement for Savanna if I would use a Hornet M2 - Rail M2 combo in a XP battle?
-
No, other hulls don 't pawn Viking M3. You are one of those who believe stats tell the whole story, well they don 't! I have been playing quite a lot of drugless Pro Battles against Gens with all kinds of M3 hulls with "just" my Viking M2 - Thunder M2 and still did quite well. Look at these posts and than tell me again that Viking M3 (which is really better as the M2) gets owned by other hulls. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177128&page=80&do=findComment&comment=3410965 http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177128&page=81&do=findComment&comment=3413838 http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177128&page=91&do=findComment&comment=3468784 and drugging: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177128&page=89&do=findComment&comment=3457503 Can you show me some of your stuff, to prove that Dictator, Mammoth or Hunter rules? Talk the talk and walk the walk...
-
Just joking: get them both, you get the best of two "worlds"! ;) The Medium M2 kit I have myself and it indeed rocks the most because of the paints in it! Have not got an answer yet, but I think the Sandstone can be usefull as well! when playing Hornet M2 - Rail M2 in XP battles: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=191275&page=3&do=findComment&comment=3470721 I got the kit the first day I ranked to first Lieutenant. The Prodigi in it is already MU 'd quite a bit: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177128&page=91&do=findComment&comment=3468784 It 's nice to invest in micro-upgrades in a paint that will last!
-
MU 'd Rustle? The best solution IMO if I look at the enemies you mention. Especially against Thunder. Alternative solution: take another weapon? ;)
