Or most people are too lazy or incompetent to use team chat. What if team chat were default and you had to ctrl shift to chat with the other team?

My two cents is to not neglect hull movement. Turret movement is great to see, attack while moving, and move faster but most maps are not flat and you lose a lot control over your vertical axis if you don't try to keep your hull facing the enemy. Sometimes it is better to make fine movements with the turret and lean your hull over an edge, sometimes it is better to reposition your hull for delicate shots when your turret isn't flat relative to the enemy.

Can you explain this logic to me? Thunder m2 unlocks much earlier than smoky, by the time you can buy smoky m2 you are only one rank away from getting thunder m3. I just don't see what the advantage is.

I like smoky. May not be the strongest or the most popular but it is the most fun to play.
