Great, now you just need to level out the currencies so that we USD and EUR buyers aren't paying 50% more than our Russian friends are. :D

I quite agree. And remember also that the majority of that remaining 30,000 - 40,000 "real players" are low ranks playing on EN4. I can't even find a good battle in Tanki after 1:00 UTC on this account. Even the Sandbox XP's on RU1 are unpopulated. -

Unfortunately, I already have all these items at M3, some M3+, so I can't take advantage of this sale. Good luck though to everyone who can! :) -

Very unexpected from the Tanki Online crew. They haven't exactly been generous with sales over the last year, so I definitely didn't expect a StarSeries championship to trigger such an event. Thanks guys! :) -

Pakistan doesn't allow YouTube? -
The first non-holiday sale we've had in almost a year! Hope this starts a trend... Thanks Developers!

Stop the biased voting already. -_-

But the rewards are still only 50% of what they were before? Not impressed.

To DDOS someone, you need to obtain their IP address, which is highly guarded and hard to get. A hacker would need to have access to the logs of some specific website which you had visited recently, or start a Skype call with you (a bug in Skype causes the call-answerer's IP address to be exposed for a short amount of time.) Very unlikely that you're getting DDOS'ed, unless one of your close Skype friends is trolling you. Lag-spikes are a natural occurrence in every game. As humans, we tend to only make note of the ones which cause us to fail, and not notice the ones that don't affect us. Try testing your internet here: http://speedtest.net/. If your internet speed is below 5Mbp/s, lag will be a common adversary of yours.

Not sure what you mean by that first highlighted section there. Hackers aren't really an issue with Tanki, thanks to the hard work of the developers and their development/implementation of up-to-date anti-cheat software. The biggest issues with Tanki are 1) Saboteurs, and 2) Laggers. You really must be new to the game if you think that saboteurs just started after the Daily Missions update. Sabotage has been happening in this game since the very beginning, and it's been an issue ever since. Sabotage can come in many forms; whether it's physically doing damage to your team by pushing teammates off edges, flipping them, etc., or by simply staying partially inactive waiting for a gold to drop. Daily missions are a mere speck on the history of Tanki Online's sabotage problems.

Exactly. Also, as a side note, if Tanki Online truly is running low on profits (which I doubt is the case), I must say that they're not at all using every tool that they could to improve that. Their marketing plan, if they even have one, is complete rubbish. You don't have to look further than the referral banner to see that. I personally tested their "referral banner" on a technology blog of mine, which gets ~1,900 views a day, and few ever clicked on it. I've tried this with other games, whose referral banners are much more engaging, and have managed to get a much more substantial amount of referrals. Sales are a quarterly thing at the most nowadays. Even just a small weekly or monthly bonus sale/event would drastically increase player interest. Did you notice that during the x5 battle funds, the server load graph came the closest to the 100,000 mark since early spring? What if Tanki chose a random day every month to do x2 funds or a small discount on one or more items? Many more players would be checking, and most likely playing, the game every day. And I'm not making any suggestions, but if necessary, I wouldn't mind seeing an advertisement or two while I'm loading into a battle. Since hundreds of thousands of battles are loaded on Tanki every day, and each takes about 7-15 seconds, there would definitely be a profit boost for the company. I really don't like ads, but I wouldn't mind them if they caused the crystal prices to decrease. -
What's odd about all this is that Tanki seems to surprisingly lack the tools and/or people to control hackers and saboteurs. Many other "Real" online games that I've played or watched others play, have strict limits on how high a player's ping can be (exceeding the limit for too long gets you booted from that server) and most of these games have very accessible reporting/complaint features, which allow honest players to easily flag a hacker/saboteur for the Moderators. What do we have in Tanki? No limit on high ping, and an out-dated "vote" command that 90% of players have never heard about or used. Laggers own XP battles and saboteurs are everywhere. Why don't the developers come up with, at the very least, a more accessible complaint/report feature? No one knows.

+1 Yet again. Many "buyers" aren't spending money right now because of the high prices and the so-called "Flash to Unity transfer" rumors. The decrease in prices almost encouraged me to change my mind, but now that they decided not to do anything, I'm keeping my word, and many other "buyers" are doing the same. Not a cent more. -
I'm always shaking my head in battle, wondering why so many players just can't figure this out. Great article! :)

Changes to the payments section of the game (Updated on July 31)
general_abrams replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
Okay, so let's just do a little math using one of the most popular packages before and after this update. Previously, before this update, $41.97 bought you exactly 120,000 crystals (no DCC, including bonuses). If you do the math, that means that each US Dollar is worth approximately 2,859 crystals in the $41.97 package. $1 ~ 2,859 crystals Now let's try the new system. $39.99 buys you 105,000 crystals. Doing the division: in the $39.99 package, $1 ~ 2,625. $1 ~ 2,625 crystals. So before update: $1 ~ 2,859 crystals After update: $1 ~ 2,625 crystals The only noticeable increase in crystal/dollar ratio is in the $99.99 dollar package, in which $1 ~ 3,580 crystals. But come on, who drops $100 on a game at once? Does it seem to anyone else that they actually raised prices for the US dollar instead of decreasing them?  Well, that's because they did. At least, they did for us regular people who don't plan on spending $100 at the drop of a hat. Hey Semyon, a little revision for you: -

Man, just when I thought they had grown some brains, the developers went back on their word once again, and kept prices higher for the USD and Euro currencies than for the Ruble. :( A little better explanation please? Something about it hurting the game's profits too much would be more credible... And just like that, this topic went from a positive upvote/downvote ratio, to a negative one. Still keeping my promise: not single cent more of my money to this ridiculously priced game. You won't be stealing anymore of my US dollars, Tanki! :D -
Although I must agree that the missions were a little bit over-generous before, this "50%" decrease seems a little bit extreme. Now I'm barely earning what I got in a Daily Gift. Difference is, I didn't have to work for a Daily Gift. Now I'm forced to work for only a little bit more than that. Wouldn't a slightly smaller decrease be sufficient? I hope that your "Experiment" results turn you in that direction. "Completing all three missions will reward significantly more supplies than a Daily Gift" --Hazel-Rah. I guess you didn't want this to stay true for long, did you? :(

First, and on the subject of eSports, I think we owe a big congratulations to All Kind, for representing our English community excellently in the finals. Even if you're not a fan, you have to give credit where credit is due. Good luck to them as they take on the experienced Russian clans of StarSeries. :) Daily Missions, in my opinion, have been a step in the right direction. They give tankers another reason to play the game, besides just earning crystals and XP, and the rewards are far more generous than Daily Gifts, meaning that players who haven't chosen to invest money in Tanki will be able to acquire more supplies than before. The majority of players that I meet are happy with this update. The "Ratings" update promises to be a huge hit as well. This is something that many other games already possess, and I'm glad that Tanki Online has caught on. :D Can't wait to see who will be crowned Mr. and Mrs. of Tanki Online, since it won't be me. ;) As always, thanks to Semyon and the V-log crew for making this possible. :)

Changes in maximum range for Freeze, Firebird and Isida
general_abrams replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
These last 2 rebalances have been the first ones in almost 2 months. -
They are supposed to take a short amount of time to complete. If they were too long, only no-lifers (like me) would be able to complete them.
-
I do foresee some issues there, however the Daily Missions have only just been launched. If the developers see issues with players multing/sabotaging for supply boxes, I'm sure they'll do something about it. ;) Give 'em some time.
