+ what Mafi said. I have never taken part in the puzzles, and personally know almost nothing about them period. It's simply not an interest of mine, and there are many more with that mentality. The Game is an optional celebration thing. On the other hand, almost everyone used the sales, saw Gold Boxes, or saw the themed decorations, so there's your answer right there! :D

They're are completing their experiment, regardless of dislikes. Nothing that you can do will prevent them from finishing what they started. Give it a few days. Perhaps they will change it, or maybe they'll leave it, and we'll have to live with it. Believe it or not, I don't find the camera update that bad. ;) It just takes some practice/discipline, something that everyone seems to lack these days.

The forum is already filled with complaints like this. The "every 2nd hull is a Hornet" statement is probably mostly fulfilled by players on the lower end of the ranks, since Hornet is an extremely common hull at those lower ranks, being cheap and versatile. In higher ranks, the variety among hulls is quite sufficient to keep me happy. :D As to the Players vs. Helpers tournament, the issues with this have already been exposed, and because of them, I believe that the decision has been made to let the CyberSport Administrators/Helpers organize most of the tournament events, instead of the Community Organizers, from here on out. I really wouldn't recommend speculating about the "game balance" from a player's biased perspective, nor would I try to lecture the Developers themselves on how it "does" or "should" work. They are the ones with the statistics/data and exact knowledge of the game's mechanics, not us. Since the game is their business, I trust them to at least keep it in "good" shape, else they lose their job. ;)

I really don't see the point of this topic, since the administration decides who is "qualified" and who isn't. The community's opinion has little or absolutely no affect on a players chances of making it to staff, I can guarantee that.

Predicting what will be the new turret in tanki?
general_abrams replied to GHOST68INVINCIBLE in Archive
Don't be too sure about that, how would you know what I like and don't like? :P -
I wish any of us could be certain of this, unfortunately, we can't. However I do have a strong suspicion that, since Tanki Online makes its money mainly from "buyers," they will not be very likely or anxious to turn away thousands of regular donators, and many non-donators besides. It would be like them restarting all the communities from scratch again, and I don't think they necessarily want to do that. ;) Let's hope that Hazel-Rah can at least give us a few hints as to this soon, because this is a matter of leave or stay for me.

Predicting what will be the new turret in tanki?
general_abrams replied to GHOST68INVINCIBLE in Archive
The developers have specifically stated that NO new hulls (and I'm guessing no new turrets) will be added to the current version of Tanki. In the Unity version, which will hopefully be coming out around the end or middle of next year, there may be a few new ones, but who's to say? Adding equipment to the game requires a lot of work, plus it changes the game balance and makes gameplay more complex. I'd say we're pretty good with the available guns we have now. :) -
MSI would be the best choice for a gaming laptop, if it has good specs. However Macbooks are often packed with performance features, as their prices suggest. If you like Windows, go MSI. If you want a Mac, go Macbook.

I agree. :)

The higher your rank, the more gear you are able to obtain and the more crystals you earn. (Facepalm) I think that the developers have this one handled, no ideas like this will ever be accepted.

Good guess.

So far, this update has been okay (permissible; acceptable) for me, although it's going to take a few days to get used to. The big question that I find myself asking is, of all the things you guys could fix, why this? This didn't require a fix, it worked perfectly before. Why not fix the anti-cheat mechanism that's preventing Smoky and Railgun from knocking off the aim of enemies? Or why not work on the "Daily Missions," which are 2-3 weeks overdue? Why not try to come up with a better system to remove mults from battle? Of all the things that you could've broken the era of "developer silence" with, it had to be this?
-
Why? Daily missions might not be the solution to everything, but at least it's better than this. -_-

Well, thank you for your encouragement, sir. However even if my karma is "good enough" to pass, I don't believe I can take on the work-load of being an eSports helper right this moment. Maybe in a couple more months though. ;)
-
Unfortunate that my karma will most likely keep me from helping, even though it's something that I've always wanted to do. :(

Please, go to Florida, the Carolina's, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, basically any state on the southern end, and you can get a gorgeous tan. Obviously you haven't traveled much if you believe that California is the only state you can get a tan in. -_- A lot of California is actually colder than many of it's neighboring states, since it extends far north. Besides that, the taxes in CA are obscene. A man who would be considered rich in the Midwest is a poor man in California, since 40% of his yearly income is going back to the government.

That is really... off topic.

Other [Issue 35] Chronicles of a Nug - why the heckles not?
general_abrams replied to Remaine in Newspaper Archive
I'm a consistent reader of this article series. I love the humor that is so frequently inserted and often lacking in many articles by other people. Keep writing these, looking forward to that OP Firebird M1! :D -
Interview [Issue 35] Is Voting still Effective?
general_abrams replied to Pathfinder in Newspaper Archive
Completely agree with this. The sooner that the developers either resolve this or roll out the new Tanki (which hopefully has a better kick system implemented) the better. I have thoroughly read and re-read @AbsoluteZero's KICK2 system topic, and am able to say that, even if mults weren't an issue, it is better than the system currently in the game. I really hope that the developers at least take some notice, so that the work that these players have put into coming up with these systems won't go to waste. -
Guide [Issue 35] Dissected: Top Tier Paints
general_abrams replied to Pathfinder in Newspaper Archive
What a very informing and correct article! Things like this are why I read the newspaper. I must at least have some kind of brain in my head, or I just happened to pick the right ones, but of all the top tier paints that I own, 4 are in the green band, 1 in the yellow, and 1 in red. :D That gives me a ratio of 2 good paints for everyone 1 bad/meh paint. Hope to see more posts like this! -
Indeed. That's why I stick to my higher ranked account, where I can count more on my own teammates more.

This group isn't what I expected. I kindly wish you to remove me from the page, as I've left. Nice knowing you all!

Bahahahaha Ok ok, it's mean, but just hilarious.
