Still not fixed! What is the problem in not fixing this issue! Since June!
-
I'm disappointed that now I have to pay $10 each month to partially get something I could have bought with just crystals - now it costs $10 + crystals. This post constitutes a DOWNVOTE for me. RIP 100% SMP.
-
Another important rule for defending: if an enemy is flipped on the side (such as Fire/Freeze/Isida/Twins) or totally flipped over then leave them be - the time to self destruct is longer than it will take you to kill them and allow them to respawn. Use this time to withdraw and prepare for another enemy. A flipped tank is like the enemy team losing one player for 12 seconds or so. Finally there are times when it is better to try to push an enemy off rather than fight them.

I only started using one when Daily Missions came out - too tedious to burn through 1000XP for supplies so I bought it to cut the time to do the missions in half - it also helps with getting the last XP I need for Gismo. After that it won't matter. It still sucks to take away the 100% pass because it can be purchased with crystals - now someone will have to pay $10 per month and hand over crystals to get 100% again.
-
I had trouble with the test server getting into the garage. Well, that's a bummer. I was on the fence about Premium but taking away something I use and forcing me to pay extra now just to use it again puts me in the category of "opposed to Premium."
-
What is the story on the SMP? Is the 100% pass being taken out while the others will remain? Also if players are getting one free day of Premium does that mean people with the 100% SMP right now will get 150% for 24 hours?

Green ones are better than the ripe ones - especially good for ส้มตำ. (the spicier the better). :P

"Slight" decline. Using the graph and hovering the mouse over the values shows a 50% decline. That's not "slight." When I started playing the peak loads were 120,000 every day. Now what do they show? It's been a very long time since I have seen the individual servers all lit up like Christmas trees: Now when I play during peak times only 3-4 servers are in the red.
-
The more of these get into the game the less special they become.
-
I started playing around this time last year. There were quite a bit more people playing 1 year ago than play now.
-
Well I was just referring to destroying things that are part of existing maps - for example - the barriers on the hill in Rio where a Thunder usually sits and drugs and spawn camps. Without the barrier that becomes harder to do. It would obviously take some time to destroy it, so, tying yourself up to do that could be counterproductive.
-
I wish they had the ability to allow some destructible environments in each map - for example being able to destroy the barriers so tanks can't hide behind them, knocking down some ramps, etc. It would really change game play quite a bit to modify the environment over the course of a round. Imagine Tanki + Besiege combined :D

I know Raccoon isn't up there in terms of protection but there was just something wrong with that certain Isida - I have yet to see an Isida come out on top of a DM like this. Usually they don't do well in Polygon unless they are sitting in the tunnel there healing teams protecting the CP. I don't recall the paint but that person joined the round about 10 minutes after it started and it was just jaw dropping to see it eating tanks as if they were nothing. I do suspect, however, that there is a flaw in the damage mechanism of how Tanki calculates damage - often times an enemy in a sea of tanks seems to come out unscathed - I have had this happen to me before in Rio - seemingly impossible situations where I escape with the blue flag in a sea of blue players and I am shocked that I get out of it with little to no damage at all. I know better with Isida and other short ranged weapons to try to remain out of range -this is why I tend to use Twins more and more in Polygon so I can attack from a distance. I just think there was something wrong with that round the other morning.
-
Yes, I try to interfere with the enemy's beam whenever possible knowing this is a flaw. When there's a group of tanks and one of them is Isida I always take it out first. It's pointless to attack the other tanks while there's an Isida there. I see lots of people make this mistake - failing to take out the Isida and it's frustrating to see players not know this.
-
The VLOG said that that it does double self-healing. There was an Isida in a round of Polygon DM the other morning that ended up with 120 kills and 20 or so deaths and was the top scorer at the end of a 30 minute round (I usually come out near first due to using Twins and Hunter. The player was using Isida/Viking M3 and mostly just using DD. One on one it was virtually impossible to kill him before he sucked the life out of you - even using Raccoon and DA it was no-go. It usually took a group of 3-4 tanks to kill it. The only way this could have been possible is with self-healing, DD, and a fully upgraded Isida - this would approach 100% self-healing when using DD to attack enemies. Either that or he was a hacker.

The reason why Facebook only provides a "Like!" button is because giving people only one choice eliminates honesty, exchange of ideas, critical thinking, or objective truth. Oh....

I present one of my favorite games as a kid - "Armor Battle" for the Intellivision. "Tanki" before Tanki Online (or anything online) ever existed. This is why Tanki is sort of special to me. ;)

Good, the last part makes me happy. :D (I know it's likely most players are just kids so their perceptions are different that those who are adults - but there are a surprising number of us who have been playing games since the 80s  so I would hope that our feedback is not taken as an insult but our feedback is based on many years of game play - the Atari 2600, Intellivision, and C-64 were my first environments along with the arcades  ). Today is work-on-the-car-day since the humidity has finally dropped to reasonable levels - it's still so humid that raw iron rusts almost immediately once the cosmoline is removed. :o

Well, one way to have handled this would have been: "Guys, we are going to work on something called Premium,. We would like feedback on the features you would like most in Premium so we can work on development. Which top 5 features would you like?" Then we could give our opinions before development took place, and, while some things might be considered and some might not due to technical or financial reasons it would have involved the players to a degree and perhaps created more satisfaction overall. Instead the concept was thrust upon us only 7 days ago and since it's probably close to being 100% complete the chance for real meaningful feedback is lost because of the rather rigid rule about preventing us from calling for removal of updates or features related to those updates. This is why there's so much opposition to it (for the record I am on the fence about it so I really don't have a + or - overall opinion yet on it). Secondly, there are some things that I buy each month, or, might consider buying (such as Pro Pass and the score multiplier cards). Not knowing exactly what Premium will or will not have creates uncertainty or how releasing Premium might impact these other items being available separately when Premium comes out - for example the Wiki says that Premium includes Pro Pass and bonus XP - does this mean that Pro Pass and the score multiplier cards are going to be discontinued in the future without warning? This keeps us from buying now (which impacts Tanki's income immediately), or, if we buy something now and it becomes part of Premium then it creates a sense of being dissatisfied (which may lead us to not spend in the future). Uncertainty and dissatisfaction keep people from spending real money on crystals - satisfaction and happiness leads people to spend money on real crystals. I realize Tanki can do what it wants and it doesn't need to be repeated to me - my suggestions are merely a way to try to make things better for both sides. Happy players means more money for Tanki, and, more money for Tanki means more development. It's a two way street. And I do thank you for your time to respond. ;)

I know that very well having worked in corporate America - and it's frustrating to see the disconnect between the bean counters and the public face of a company. You all are put in the tough position of having to deal with the public with a limited amount of information. My suggestion was to somehow find a way to get the point across to those who make the decisions about releasing information that giving us a bit more time to know about upcoming changes rather than suddenly springing them upon us would make for much better customer relations. It doesn't require that every single tidbit be released. Happy customers are paying customers! :)

Do you want the cynical reason or the logical reason? When it sells too much then it becomes OP, so, it gets nerfed due to the new popularity. That's the "logical" answer. The cynical answer: would you really nerf something first then sell it, or, try to extract as many crystals as you can for it - then nerf it - since refunds and exchanges are not allowed? Which do you think they would choose?

"obviously it's not your fault if you are being kept in the dark as well - nobody is blaming the mods or helpers if you don't know anything either. But someone needs to understand higher up that keeping people in the dark about important aspects of the game isn't a great way to keep and build a loyal customer base." I'm not placing the blame on you guys.

Sarcasm doesn't impress me.

This is what we've been referring to - obviously it's not your fault if you are being kept in the dark as well - nobody is blaming the mods or helpers if you don't know anything either. But someone needs to understand higher up that keeping people in the dark about important aspects of the game isn't a great way to keep and build a loyal customer base. We get snowballed on so many updates/changes that it's creating quite a concern to the point where many are leery of investing anything further in this version of the game.

I was referring to the "Development Plans." Besides, that page you referred to was just created a week ago.
